Amusement park rides and sideshows, hot dogs, and mermaid parades: Coney Island, a tiny stretch of beachfront in Brooklyn, has left an indelible mark on the world's popular imagination for nearly 150 years.

Recorded by John McCormack on November 19, 1928, "Jeannine, I Dream of Lilac Time" was a 1928 song composed by Nathaniel Shilkret with lyrics by L. Wolfe Gilbert. It is the theme song of the silent film "Lilac Time", starring Gary Cooper and Colleen Moore. The song sold almost two million copies of sheet music and was recorded by over a hundred top artists.

"Until" with lyrics by Edward Teschemacher and music composed by Wilfrid Sanderson was published in 1910 and the sheet music went on to sell over one million copies. The song was recorded by John McCormack on March 30, 1915.

"The Sunshine of Your Smile" was written by Leonard Cooke and Lilian Ray and recorded by John McCormack on September 20, 1916. The recording would make it to #1 in the charts in 1916.
