Gaiden's ending is just a well done cutscene, nothing more. It has no ties to the game. It would have the exact same impact if you watched before playing the game. Gaiden is just pure filler trash. I mean, put that in the end of any of the yakuza games that came out in last 10 years, its the exact same thing.

Played this on release and loved it. Not my favorite but it's definitely up there in the rankings. I think it is one of Nobuo Uematsu's best works personally.

Crazy, I disagree with almost all your placements, I think it goes to show how many different things there are to enjoy about these games. My list would be this: 1. XC, 2. XC2, 3. XC:X, XC3 I hated most of Xenoblade 3 to be honest.

People really disliked it when it came out. I was a big FF fan at the time but never bothered to finish this one.

Just started it, it feels mature and well made.

I recently played Soul Silver, Black and White 2 for the first time and they hold really well to this day. Haven't been able to play anything post B2W2 but I dare to say the OG games were superior. I would rank Black/White much higher also due to their storylines, which were at that point a positive departure from what we had seen so far.

One of the best games ever mainly because of the characters and the feel of it all. I also played it growing up very young so it’s nostalgic. But it may be my favorite final fantasy for the story/feel Ff12 is my favorite for just the gameplay itself and how large a scale it is. There where bosses that took hours to beat

I actually really liked draw, junction, and magic system. It fits with the themes of the story too with magic being a quick way to power that many are hesitant to use.

I know it is not popular but I enjoyed Dead Souls a lot, it was a nice change after a playing a few Yakuza games, guess I am a minority. Also I like Akiyama. Currently last chapter in Lost Judgement, I think the story is better than Judgement. Then will start Infinity Wealth.

Every single time I get in my yearly old school JRP kick... I always start with this game and I always end up playing another game. Due to how you have to power up to complete the game. 1. Junction magic should stop increasing strength after 25-50 in number, but allowing you store 100 like normal. This would nearly remove the hesitation some feel with using magic. 2. Making the sidequest for your supporting cast actually be far less misable. Or even plop them into the main plot. 3. The recent Final Fantasy games are flashly and look cool with nice stories (15 even eveutally frankistines itself together via the mvoie, the DLCS, the anime...) but I think Square needs to go all in on action or go back to turn base, this watered down baby's first devil may cry MUST come to an end.

I played like a dragon due to it being free on ps pass, ended up buying it(loved it) and then looking up the rest of the series......lore history you name it.....then played infinite wealth(pre ordered) and enjoyed it alot......this is one hell of a series and I'm kinda sad I showed up to the party so late but I'm glad I madenit

Black and White 1 are top for me. I actually liked the Unova exclusive dex from a world building perspective. Unova being so far from the first 4 regions meaning it has entirely different pokemon made sense to me and felt a bit more immersive (though it kinda got retconned in future games and even the post game).
