fisher “man” with gloves ooouuufff i’ve used this stuff before and grabbed it all so ik it STINKS. we’re fishing here don’t worry about being stinky, common bro.
For the dough bait you have to use a spring hook
Fish there a lot
Good luck tonight / Nice if you would re feature my net some time again . Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🦃
Thanks for the support and Happy Thanksgiving!!
This guys such a noob
great video. subtle differences for different scenarios. couldn't go wrong with either.
I agree! I hope I gave you some insight into both
are you p diddy by chance
Spring hooks hold dough bait much better try those out you will definitely get a cast out farther with those
Let's go, im so sick of everyone on youtube saying it no matter what there doing
Can i use any wire for the trailer hook?
Yes, the stiffer the wire the less action but obviously stronger.
The bonafide offers alot more then the crescent
You wanted to cross a Shoal Bass off the list and you wanted tocatch it on a fly rod ?. I don't even know what one is. Trout is one of the most enjoyable fish to fish for and it's just enjoyable on a spinning setup. I can't understand why Ceek Fishing Aventures doesn't like it more. I live in the same area and I'm not good at handling Trout either , but there one of the cleanest fish. I don't care how "slimy " they are. Before i went to Cherokee last year , I had a good idea where I could fish and where I couldn't. Big trouble Trout can be caught right after a rain with the right LURE. You should visit the Tellico River or Citico creek. Not far away on the Tennessee side.
Pantyhose. By cheap pantyhose, cut it in strips, and tie the magic bait inside it. It works. I've caught a few that way.
What color hydro turf is that
Gator green
@@theeverydayangler thanks! I was leaning towards that color and it’s in my top 3 lol. Glad there was a good video of it
Which model Old Town is that?
Not sure it's my buddies but it is a royal flex
Great fly ,gonna be a long night gotta tie some of these,,this will be fun to tie in a hospital bed
Dip bait works the best for me cut bait as well but anything super stinky at night tends to be the best
Hard to go wrong with nightcrawlers or shrimp. I usually take both.
Very nicely done.
Only a shark will be so calm swimming next to you😊
You are right, all of the Bonafides except the ex123 are more stable than the Crescents and that makes all the difference when standing to fish and if you are fishing standing makes all the difference. Standing makes it easier to see structure and the fish, also easier to cast and skip lures up under limbs.
Creeks like that are 7' 2wt territory. Look for a fiberglass one, it will make roll casting tight cover alot easier.
My stripers in Maine have all been schoolies. I hooked 3 and landed one on the South Holston ( Tennessee ) as it enters Boone. They were 20 pounders like the one caught on the video
1:28 that reel lasted me over 6 years.
How is it holding up?
I actually ended up selling the boat. I've been MIA on UA-cam for a few months now sorry.
That's awesome wow! Congrats, can't beat that feeling! Nice video
What boat is that?
this was my buddies HYDE drift boat
@@theeverydayangler thanks for replying! U got a sub.
I use walmarts Charlies blood dough bait and the shad in a bag. I smash up the shad and mix it up with the charlies. No big deal. i was just experimenting and caught my limit on channels. Good luck. Bless.
never thought of mixing them.. good idea
I have been using that magic bait over 15 years. Crayfish with chicken blood. I love how it attracts the big ones. . California, Arizona and Nevada the catfish are crazy about it. But all baits do not work in all waters. Ron In Los Angeles
💃 "Promosm"
Toppp 🎉🎉🎉 👏👏👏👏👍🏆
You got started about 50-75 years too late. There is "nothing new under the sun". Every "new" fly out there is just a copy of someone else's fly tied years ago. Just because you throw in a sili leg here and there, or use some synthetic instead of natural for a wing or a head doesn't make you an innovator. Even the guys who are considered the modern-day innovators, ie. Galloup, Craven, Brammer, McKnight, Madden, etc. are also just emulating the guys who came before. Every now and then, they actually give credit where credit is due when they realize they have copied a copy of a copy of a copy......... etc. When does a guy have the right to name a fly and call it his own? I guess, legally, any damn time he wants to. But us old geezers know the truth and we know who the pretenders are. Dan Gapen, Carrie Stephens, Chuck Kraft, Joe Brooks, Dave Whitlock, and countless others, they know too.
watch my other fly tying videos i agree with you %100. In most of my videos i say that i literally only even "name" a fly for the purpose of UA-cam. Most are all just renditions of a another fly that was invented long ago with a new twist.A more modern example. Today I watched a whole "glide bait musky fly" fly video on UA-cam, it was just a big version of Blanes jerk changer tied with bucktail. But could probably be claimed or sold as a different fly. Not everyone in fly fishing is as "nerdy" as fly tiers. I'm honestly just happy for anyone that can make money as fly tyer, good for them.
It’s not that serious old timer. He literally states your point in the video. They’re all buggers, sure. Dude made a great video of a cool fly he’s sharing for free. Who cares what he names it?? Edit: your post really rubs me the wrong way. The huge evolution in tying over last 20 years is phenomenal. Any of the old timers you mentioned would recognize such. Putting ego aside.
to be fair, you need to try them at different places, and different weather conditions, different times of year, etc.
Correct. Just a fun video to do. It would be hard to actually compare like your saying...
I seems thêm kind of morning fishing
Ok I must.go.to Walmart today
Enjoyed the tour, especially the Tenkara nets. looking forward to meeting Ken in Blue Ridge at the Trout and Outdoor Adventure Festival!
Magic fish bait will be way better
Dude has gloves on. Lol
That magic bait is something else lol
Very nice pattern
Thanks you glad you enjoyed.
What was your rod and line weight?
8WT TFO Big Fly, 8WT SA Triple Density Fly Line
Great video, thank you. Do you mind sharing the put it?
they probably put in right below the power house
this got me wanting to fish forreal
Hey there! Enjoyed your video…thanks! My name is Sid. I just bought a raft. I have 3 kids, ages 8, 6 and 5. We plan on fishing a lot! I don’t recognize the stream? Would you share the location please? Thanks again !
That is awesome!
Can’t wait to tie this monster! Thanks.
Hope you enjoy it!
Gotta give them a try! Definitely a sick looking fly!
You should!
I got the Avengers rod awhile back to be funny and to keep in my car just in case. I totally forgot about it. I'm definitely going to try it out now. Thanks for the video.
You should!
Fantastic! I just started a fly tying class a few weeks ago. It's all little trout flies. Great for learning the fundamental methods and skills. But this is the kind of fly I'm more interested in. Something for those creek smallmouth. Thanks!
Great to hear!
Definitely gotta add some to the box as well! Beautiful work!
The fish caught at 8:13 was a spotted sunfish.
Thanks!
👍
