Recipe:
2 tbsp olive oil
10-12 large shrimp
1.5 tbsp crushed garlic
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup dice green pepper
1/2 cup diced red roasted pepper
1 cup medium grain rice (pre-soaked)
3 tbsp lobster base
1/2 tbsp diced recao’
1 tbsp cilantro
1 pack sazón (con achiote)
6 cups water (more if needed)
salt
ground pepper
Measurements are to be calibrated by the cook’s taste.

    I hope that your not puerto rican because that sugar was not necessary. Why I'm so glad that you asked because the cream of coconut 🥥 was more than sweet enough. Further more you just destroyed this dessert even more that I grew up with by adding ice which is water meaning you diluted it . Lucky for you my grandma is not here because she would have texted something extra . Keep it simple no water or extra sugar unbelievable your so fired. 😋🥊

      I was thinking the same thing. I know it has to stay cold to do its thing, but I was thinking of freezing milk or coconut milk for creamier, richer concoction. I'm just making this tonight for the first time, following these instructions. I'll see how that goes.

      Coconut cream is only needed if you don’t have fresh cut up or blended fresh coconut pulp

      Hi, it comes down to the freezing method/sugar content. Because we aren’t using a Ice Cream machine where the crystallization process involves constant movement. With this method it’s important to pay special attention to blend as “freeze” as posible

It tastes great but the texture is pretty icy/gritty. Is it because I didnt put 4 tablespoons of sugar? Let me know if you could please. I also let it freeze overnight which was like 11 hours, does that matter?

      Thanks for watching and glad you will be trying it. You can get the pulp frozen at some supermarkets (as we have done) but this one was from our own passion fruit plants. Have a great day.
