BROKEN Transponder Smart Entry Keyless Remote on Your Honda or Acura
In this video, I will show you a common issue with the old Honda (or Acura) transponder. You would perform the procedure if your remote is not responding. Over time, the transponder will lose connection with the internal battery.
The battery size for the smart key is CR2032: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ED3SBDI/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00ED3SBDI&linkCode=as2&tag=oemeangg-20&linkId=2fcef4c95114f755469218a32672c68c

EXCELLENT video! Fairly easy enough and inexpensive to do. All the other videos involved the car being hoisted in the air. So, $90 for the links, and a few thousand to install a hoist system in my garage. LOL. Another safety tip I saw years ago, when you take the wheels off, prop them up under the raised car for extra safety incase the jack fails.

    • @OEMEangg

Personally, I don't think it worth the time and effort to drain 100% of the coolant. I didn't really look for bleeders. Even with cars that have bleeders (such as Hondas), I don't open them when "burping".

For a USDM 7th generation Civic, the code should be 5 digits. I suspect that the 8 digit code is the system's serial number.
