What kind of "streamer" is that? Looks like a plastic swim bait on a heavy lead jig head. If you like fishing that on a fly rod, you should try flipping it with a baitcaster! It's way better. You could even try a plastic crawfish on that same jig. Or even a scented Gulp Minnow! The possibilities are endless!

To be clear …. Fly fishing in downtown Dillon is where you see flatlanders, who fish around the outlet stores . Sort of a “ River Runs Through It “ crowd . North of Dillion is good , not great but good . I always chuckle driving through and seeing who want crowds to see them fishing .

I know where that tunnel is at the end....it's not on the south Platte!!! Did you fish the river with that tunnel too? I fished it where the north fork comes in last week and caught a handful of rainbows.

Love the videos man. I live in Castle Rock, but I have some property up by where you frequent if you ever want to hit the water and camp together. I am new to fly fishing and would love to have a mentor and buddy on the water.

when l was younger fished steelhead in half-frozen rivers a lot, dangerous stuff. the 18 incher you caught had such stunning colors. fished the blue a lot in the mid-1970s, folks had a place near Troublesome Creek'
