- Fly Fishing in the Arkansas river is always a good time. The fish fight harder then any fish in the region and with the size of this river you never know what is going to be on the other end of the line when you hook into a fish.

I been getting skunked for the last few weeks fly fishing and I’m about to give up man. Would I be able to email you to see what spot this is by chance ? If not it’s cool bro I just thought I’d ask

I’m from NC and ain’t started fly fishing yet. Caught a pretty nice brown on an HD Trout close to that spot on Thanksgiving. Talked to a cool dude and he said he sometimes catches up to 12 fish in that area. Made me start to look into fly fishing
Nice! It is tough to find brown trout in that river. I would recommend giving it a shot just don’t get discouraged the skills and technique don’t come over night. Fly Fishing can be extremely rewarding!

I’ve had a few big browns get off down there. The one I did land, I was pretty aggressive and netted him within 40-60seconds. IMO you gotta attack them or it’s game over. Those southern Colorado fish fight dirty AF-they’re not your polite SP trout.
