Hi Officer Fraser. I passed the CFAT this morning. I'm nervous for the Physical test. It's on Aug 1st at HMCS Chippawa. Thanks for the guidance 😃
Good luck, I’m sure you will do great!!
The phones are HUGE! We didn't get ours until the last couple weeks. Before that we were allowed like 3-8 mins on the pay phone per day
How did they not offer you another contract? The Class B contracts are handed out like clockwork in the RCAF. Have you thought about a CT? I have a few friends in the PAFO world, I've sent them to your channel.
Hi, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all of your work and very informative videos. I stumbled across your channel when looking for reg force BMQ info and I found your videos were incredibly valuable and applicable to reg force folks too. I hope that national one day sees the value in your videos and social media. Thank you so much for your time and effort. Best of luck to you Sir!
Thank you very much!!
Thanks a lot for videos , you are the reason I applied for reserves
Won my sub. Rooting for you!
When was the last time you served on a ship?
Pleasure to have you teach my basic PO 🙏
Why not continue? Can't the contract be rescinded?
Thanks for all your videos PO! I ship out to vimy next week. a lil sad you wont be our instructor, but glad you are still gonna make videos! Can't wait to watch more...assuming i survive basic ;)
@@SmashTVCanada Thank you for the comment!! PO2 Cooke will take good care of you.
thank you for your videos
Thank u so much for all the videos
How do immigrants from different countries and cultures serve in the CAF, are there any cultural and language barriers? How does the army deal with this?
I just want to say thank you for the videos that you have done. I started my application process in Jan 2024, largely because of the videos you made and the information you provided. With a preexisting condition, my application has taken longer than I was hoping, but no one has said "no" to me yet. I wish you the best of luck with whatever the future has planned for you!
Q&A video answering your questions is up!!! ua-cam.com/video/2doiF7Hr9RY/v-deo.htmlsi=v8m9iwThfAgjqLmy
Someone who is 36 here going through the process of joining the forces. I was extremely nervous but your videos are making me more excited than anything. Something I have found to work with my studying because there is only a few online test you can ask ChatGPT to create questions for you so the questions are always changing.
Born and raised 🙌🏻 Whats the security clearance wait time?
The cfat trainer app by seliant is the best (i subscribed for 1 week and that's all i needed). the test is fairly easy and you'll have lots of time. the books themselves are still from the early 2000s (as printed on the book itself when i wrote the exam). I'm still surprised no one has been able to provide any images of the text books after so long 😅 the practice tests from other sites are HARDER than the actual exam.
I am excited to join the forces. Passed CFAT and selected Aerospace control. Waiting for next processes. As a PR, I was told that the background check might take upto 18 months.....
@@sruthikrishnasreekumari5282 that is correct, background checks that include security pre-assessment can take 6-24 months.
That dude has so many medals, he looks like Iron Man.
Keep at it dude.
What will happen if I failed 3 times? Am I not be able to join military?
@@updated5615 you can request a waiver to do another attempt.
Why not compare to when the Canadian military actually trained real soldiers who were mentally ready for combat. 1985 and earlier, not woke 2006. 1985, the last year the instructors could do basically anything you watch in the movies, outside of touching you violently. Then came 1991 when the forces FORCED basic instructors to push women through, to get the numbers of women in the combat arms that the government said would be there. That's the first year they were allowed. They majorly lowered standards for the women, but this also allowed men who would never pass basic to cruise through.

Hello sir.. I am a chef. I want to work in Canada arm force can you please help me for which one is best for opportunity for a chef. Army Navy or Airforce. Please sir...
@@supermansclub5554 All good, Cooks are in demand everywhere. Air Force is probably best. If you have education as a chef make sure you ask about a signing bonus!!

I'm interested in making a career out of serving after highschool and this NEP seems like a good place to start
@@Mr._Br1ghts1de it is a great place to start!!
I have another question😅 basically my story is I failed the imagery tech twice and now I want to take Cook and still the recruiter wanted me to take the CFAT. I am so scared to fail again multiple times, I am embarrassed to return again to show my face and saw that I failed 2 times and see me to do it for 3rd time . Can I just bypass and do my best in the basic training and military? I just want to have a stable job and respected job in the industry where my parents can be proud of me.
@@Zoe-ie4ns You don’t need to be embarrassed, I have re-tested many people and never thought anything negative about it. We want you to succeed!
@@PrairieSailor but I can’t able to bypass?🥺
i failed two time for imagery technician. however I want to apply for cook, do i still need to take an exam even though I did CFAT for imagery tech twice? however I did an upgrading for math and english. thank you in advance.
@@Zoe-ie4ns when you wrote it for image tech they should have told if a) you did not meet CAF minimum standard, or b) you did not meet for image tech. If b), they should have provided a list of occupations that you did meet.
@@PrairieSailor they did not provided me a list of occupations. maybe I also did not make it🥹
Nowadays there is no CFAT anymore, some of the people I know did not take the exam. I really want to have a stable job in the navy and i feel like this is the only way I could have a better life and stable job however i am not good in academic. i’d like to be a cook in the navy. do i still to take exam?
@@Zoe-ie4ns Cook is a part of the expedited application trial, so you may not need to write it. Check out my skip the CFAT video for the details.

@@PrairieSailor Thank you so much! May God bless you!😊
Does anyone know what's next when your application states "Ready for testing"? I'd appreciate someone helping me out here.
HAHAHAHA... If you have a pulse, you can pass this. The EXPRES test was fine and dandy, or geez, the old school BFT (battle fitness test). Once a Patricia, Always a Patricia.
Thank you for you service, I have followed most of your video ! Because of you work the next month I will enroll with the 5th regiment of Military Police, in the 1er Reserve. I have been selected I will start the BMQ very soon. Your dedication is very appreciate ! You deserve love and happiness for the rest of you live ! Take care and thanks again for everything tips !
@@TheSasmam Thank you very much for sharing, and good luck on your BMQ.
I applied for NCM position and have a Masters degree from canadian university. My application says ready for testing in my account. Can you explain what that mean? Do I need to take CFAT since I have a master's degree?
@@dhyaneshnathdeevi8078 You may not need to take it depending on the Occupation. The status saying ready for testing is a generic tracking system and may not reflect your application file exactly.
Awesome videos sir, just started watching your videos. Subscription added, so i'm planning on joining the Royal Canadian Navy reserves next year when you say that the expenses are covered for getting from one place to the other does it also include basic training? And when you are travelling do you wear your uniform from your hometown to the base you are going to for future training or exercises?
@@XCimenaticGaming great questions! Yes in the reserves travel and expenses are covered for all training courses including BMQ. You usually do not need to wear your uniform for travel. There have been a couple of rare exceptions in my experience.
@@PrairieSailor Alright thanks for letting me know! So one last thing is it possible to become a boatswain in high school as that i something I see myself doing throughout my high school period if possible? This would be super cool!
@@XCimenaticGaming Yes, you can start in the Naval Reserve if you are 16, completed grade 10, and have parental consent.
Such a wonderful and informative video, thank you! The question I have is, can we bring skincare products like face wash, sunscreen, moisturizer, etc?
Is joining the reserves quicker than joining the Full-time?
So sad that they have changed the enrolment ceremonies to virtual now. We were so looking forward to watching our son enrolled in the navy and virtual is just not the same :(
@@lauranelson4521 we still do in-person ceremonies.
Get a hair cut!
I was born in September of 2005 I'll be 19 this which brings me to my question HOW DO LOOK 26
can someone with refugee status join the naval reserve?
What are the precise subjects that should be studied ?
Can you pls share your phone no.
Do they give full time employment after training as i am already working
The Reserves have some opportunity for full time employment on short term (up to three years) contracts. The majority of employment in the Reserves is part-time.
Did you not have to do GMTI (BMQ instructor training) at St Jean? I spent a few weeks training there and it was lots of fun at the Mega... When you're not the recruit.

THanks. I found the video very informative. However, you don't talk about the time it takes for an application to be processed. How does the security check takes to be completed? I heard it can go up to more than a year for permanent residents
The average time for applicant processing is 3-6 months. For Permanent Residents, the security clearance can take 6 - 24 months.
@@PrairieSailor I am a permanent resident and am interested in joining the Navy. however, the delay security check is not an incentive😔
@@blanclaurent6857 I agree, the delay is an obstacle. I am hopeful that the security clearance process will improve, I don’t think they anticipated 21,000 applications in the first year.
