How long roughly would it be from the aptitude test to the fitness test ? I know the medical is in between , I have my aptitude test in December, just really want to get a good guideline on how long I have to make sure I’m on point . 😊

    2023 Update.
Ok. So I did both this Force Test and the Combat Force Test and I have feedback to provide if you want. Even if it helps one person, my job is done.
    1) Prep
I don't care if you're a special forces tier 1 unit operator or a national athlete. This test/workout is literally designed to get you panting and sweating.
It's not that the motions and exercises themselves are hard. It's that these excersies are back to back and UNDER TIME. Which increases the pressure. BUT RELAX, I got some tricks and tips for you. Listen in.
Prepare before the test obviously, but I don't mean lift weights or workout heavy. This is an endurance test. So get your stamina up. Replicate these exercises and try and chop down the times. So that on the day of the test, it's not your first time doing it.
Trust me. I've done that. It will kick your ass. Even if you're a damn PT stud.
    2) Nutrition
Don't be an idiot. Don't eat alot before the test. Some do and they end up yaking it all out.
    Drink water.
    BRING ELECTROLYTES
Eat a Banana or two an hour or two before the test.
Trust me. Many have cramps on this test and that is not fun. You don't wanna be that guy. I've been there, others have been there. And its just not a good time. Learn from our dumbass mistakes.
    3) Timing
Ok. So, if it's your first time, you can ask the moderator or instructor to give you a half count. Meaning, when the clock hits halfway for an exercise (this excludes the drag). Your instructor can shout that out and it gives you a good basis.
This is important, it can help calm you or speed you up.
You might get this request rejected.
Ask another candidate to do it. It's not against the rules.
    4) Sequence
Ok, so if you get the opportunity, strategize your sequence of the 4 exercises.
    Meaning:
    Do the Shuttle Rushes first.
    Then the Sand Bag lifts
    Then the Drag
    And finally the Loaded Shuttles
My guys found this to be the easiest sequence.
You want your power at the start and then close off with the 5:20 min exercise at the end.
    5) The Shuttle Rushes
If you're someone who gets dizzy easily or has poor coordination on your feet.
Don't do this one first. Fit it in the middle 2nd or 3rd
There's alot of spinning and up and down and I've seen people land on their face.
    6) Sand Bag lifts
Dude. SLOW DOWN. Everyone rushes the heck out of these.
Unless you're trying to hit a PR. Slow down. You have tons of time.
3:00 mins is alot of time. That's about 5 seconds each.
We tested this by doing 5 seconds between each lift and still passed. Slow down. You still have other relays to complete.
    7) Sandbag Drag
Don't look back. The area is cordened off and clear. It's human nature to look back when walking backward. Avoid this. You're just twisting your body into a judo throw with the damn sandbag. Just pull... Consistent rate.
    8) Loaded Shuttles
This feels like forever. But once you actually get started it's easy.
You can literally jog on this one and you'll still make time.
But put out, this one is the only exercise that takes into account your waist ratio measurement (They do this at the start of the test) . There's a reason for that.
Doing this one last is a bit of a suck. You're tired, going in circles. Never ending. But just start and before you know it, you're set.
They will prompt you to sprint on each relay (unloaded). You can, but tbh it's not necessary.
And that's it. The combat fitness test is harder. It involves you in all your battle rattle and a ruck. But you can build up to it. Just add one piece of equipment on at a time and do this force exercises regularly.
    9) Recover and Personal After Action Report
Take a picture of the damn paper once you've done the test. You DO NOT want to do this again due to lost paperwork. Ask me how I know.
Record your timing in a journal. Heck, use it for personal workouts.
Find the weakest number and attack it head on.
Yeah you're good at shuttles big woop. Can you do 40-50 sandbag lifts now in the same 3 minutes?
    Exactly.
And that's it. Hope this helps.
    Go Without Fear.

Thank you for sharing all those great tips!!! My only comment is that the order of exercises is not flexible, you must do 1. 50m Rushes 2. Sandbag Lift 3. Intermittent Loaded Shuttle 4. Sandbag Drag in that order.

MANY tips, recruiters are helpful and will answer any questions you have after they explain the test, the test is not as difficult as some people portray and mainly tests your endurance and willingness to push yourself to continue even if tired/thirsty (my mouth was dryer than the sahara by the loaded shuttles), pay attention, ask questions, stay hydrated, get a good sleep, not incredibly difficult and everyone i did the test with found the 20 metre rushes the most difficult part of the test, run, u can even practice 20 metre rushes in your park or on a field, for sandbag lifts i recommend filling your school bag (i’m 16) and doing squats while holding the bag infront of you. OVERALL MOST PEOPLE CAN PASS.

@@zainabwaseem8463 went good man. I passed both the first time around and did quite well on my FORCE test. I just got enrolled about a week ago and I start BMQ part time in September. My advice for both the FORCE test and the CFAT is to train the exercises and questions that are part of the tests. Do lots of running for the FORCE test if you want good times and practice lifting things rapidly. Also, practice the shuttle run movement quite a bit. If you’re good at getting up and down quickly you’ll get a much better time. I can’t really say anything about the CFAT but the training app that is mentioned in this video works well and is worth it in my opinion.

    4. Daily target of min 10K steps
    5. Last 15 days, ran 20 mins daily to improve stamina
    6. 100 squats per day
    7. Light weight lifting 10-15 Kgs each day. 2/3 reps of biceps curl and some push-ups
    8. Practiced 20m rushes 5-6 times in last 2 weeks

Sometimes we will set up opportunities to try the FORCE Eval at a recruiting event or open house, but in general we cannot allow civilians to use our gyms or equipment for liability reasons. However if you ask your recruiter at a reserve unit they may let you make an appointment to try the equipment under supervision. I have let people come before or after the test to try the equipment when it is set up. But usually if you are scheduling an appointment to come in you might as well try to pass the test for real. There are unlimited attempts, just a 30 day waiting period which gives you time to practice if you are unsuccesful.

Cyber Operations was not among the trades listed that my score met as I was told. So I accepted IS Tech since it was a bit related.
I am at the Security check stage. Sir, please do you think I can retake the test and possible make a switch ? Will retaking affect the processing? Or if I get below score than IS Tech will they stop all processing for me? I don’t want to risk it .
I did not refuse IS Tech and retake the test and maybe don’t meet any score at all that’s why I had to be wise about it, to take it and retake the test during processing as an officer advised. It is true that your most recent score counts, so it is possible to do worse and qualify for nothing. If you studied a lot and did your best maybe it’s not worth it. But now you know what to expect and can practice a ton. Usually people do better the second time, it’s rare to do worse.

20kg sandbags for all. The drag is based on how much force it takes to drag, so the total weight may be slightly different depending on the type of floor (less weight for grippy floor, more weight for smooth floor). In general there are four sandbags dragging and one in your arms.
