For the protective gear problem, its a matter of time exposure. For example legasov is going to be a chernobyl for months, protective gear is a thing for 6-12 hours unless you can live like an astronaut. Because thats the only other place with comprable radiation levels, space... in otherwords you would need to sleep and stay in a lead lined box, or a nuclear bunker, and wear the equivalent of a space suit if you go outside. The masks and rubber liners, can reduce intake if replaced like every 6 hours. And you shower for an hr decontaminating during the breaks. Its not practical to a basic life, and to solving these problems in a timely fashion, which from a good for humanity perspective is the most important thing.

Ok so to access the founder's power without being bound by the vow they need someone without royal blood that has the founding titan's power to touch someone with royal blood and the power of the titans. As far as we know Zeke and Historia are the only people left with royal blood (Zeke from Dina and Historia from Rod Reiss), so the plan Zeke offered at the start was he and Eren partially activate the rumbling to warn the world to not attack them or the full power of the rumbling will crush them all, then while the world is still not evolved enough to beat the rumbling Paradis will build their military power so they can fend off the rest of the world without relying on the rumblling. The problem is Zeke doesn't have a lot of time left before his time is up, so they'll need another titan with royal blood to be able to use the rumbling and the only other one that has royal blood is Historia, so they'll give Historia the titan shot and have her eat Zeke, not because it has to be the beast titan, but because they need Historia to be queen so they can't keep her as a pure titan (the royal blood titan doesn't have to be one of the nine titans as we saw with Dina), but then She only has 13 years to live and she's the last decendent of the royal blood so she has to make some kids before her time is up so the royal blood keeps living.

I feel like they missed the heart-warming moment between Sasha's dad and Nicolo.. From how he was before (telling them to shoot the devils) to shaking their hand and crying... There is a running theory that sasha's last words "niku"(meat in Jpn) was actually her trying to say "nicoli" but some people don't think so... They said in the beginning that Armin's parents wanted to escape in a hot air balloon to explore the world. They never said they actually did it but then it is confirmed they tried and were killed. Eren saw Grisha's memories at the end of S3p2 (from his books), so he recognized that the "smiling titan" was Dina, and obviously also knew that she was of royal blood. He had another moment of realization in the scouts' debriefing conference after the battle of Shiganshina (at the end of S3p2).

Why these reactors' sense of time orientation is so bad that they keep on misunderstanding the timeline hence the storyline???
