Can I use bottled spring water
Very educational video on pup removal.
How to identify the species? I have one lovely healthy one - looks grayish, hardy medium thick leaves and medium size
Question, I have been using fish tank conditioner for my tropical plants to proven mineral buildup and I add very low amount of fertilizer with it. Would something like this be a valuable option?
I sit it on the kitchen floor at the base of my refrigerator for awhile. The condenser fan blows soft, warm air.😏
Have you had any strange occurrences happen with any air plants ?
Can you use hydroponic fertilizer
❤Thank you for creating this video!❤
Pls come back
how long does it take for an airplant to grow?
What is the NPK % for the fertilizer. Also what’s the difference between tectorum Ecuador and tectorum snowball?
I got this Tillandsia Tropiflora with the pink bloom it was given to me in a pot with like mossy type stuff but I took it out because it looked like it was starting to rot. How long do I soak it for? The pink flower thing lost its color and looking pale now
I have been misting it too.
Great video! More detail about propagation via pups than I have seen in most Tillandsia videos.
I heard it's not advisable to touch them with your bare hands. True?
You kinda aren't able to work with them at all if you don't touch them, so I wouldn't say that's true, although when handling you must be careful as to not damage the trichomes
Hello! Thank you for the info! Which type are you holding in the very beginning??
Never mind, got overly excited before finishing the video, caput Medusa!
Can you do a video on propagating a Tillandsia Harrisii please and thank you. Mine looks almost like a laurel crown.
Good video.
Great info on the various airplants. My northeast facing apartment was not good for growing plants indoors, so I concentrated growing in the patio which has been 100% better. I put the greener varieties in the bright shade , grouped together in a wooden vanda basket , and my Xerographica closer to the sunny area . The rain , fresh air , and sunlight do all the work for me and they look great. With my busy schedule , this is perfect for me.
i've had my plants for more than 5 years...i have never seen them bloom! perhaps they gave me plants that have already bloomed ?!
Do you sell them??❤
Do you sell them?
Never seen them get big!
I have learned so much from you. You have helped the beginner enthusiast so much. Thank you, I appreciate you.
Help!! my airplants starts to have black spot.. what shall i do???
Hi!! Thanks for ur great sharing! My airplants leaf become black quite easily. Which area I should look into to reduce this issue?
Danke Dave , du erklärst alles so gut und zeigst es auch an den Pflanzen, ich freue mich sehr auf deine Videos. ❤🙏
6:24 thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge. I live in Florida and have a few on my patio. ❤I love them. Question are they edible?
West facing will not give you morning sun, east facing gives you morning sun.
my friend gave a the baby pups which is way too small.. and it start to turn black after she gave it to me a week ago.. is it dying?
Do they all bloom? mine never came flower!
Thank you for studying tillendsia and explaining proper care. I have watched other garden people speak about air plants who lazily regurgitate wrong information about the care of these beautiful plants.
When the plant is done blooming, do we remove the flower or just wait for it to ? Dry up and fall off?
What's that white plant next to the xeno on the right side of the screen?
I recently purchased Neglecta that's been mounted. However, the space on its mounted cork is very tight. I wonder what to do as they grow slightly bigger. They are glued on. How do I remove the pups, or do you have other ideas?
Ehhh i think you are running out of space mister😮😅. I know it too well, awesome collection tho!
I have 2 full baskets air plants hang out door . I spay water every day .
I just love your videos.
Nice
So good to see a new video from you!!!!
I'm learning a lot from your videos. I am absolutely in love with tillandsias. I have recently added a small tectorum to my collection and I noticed that it already had a couple of pups growing. I asked the vendor that sold it to me and they said it had not bloomed yet. I'm skeptical of what they said, so my question is: Is it possible for tillandsia to grow offsets or pups even without blooming? Is it something you've seen before?
Yes, it does happen. Mostly they flower first, but not always. HTH.
Thank you. So much information that I've learn about air plants. I have large xerographica and love it. I do live in Boston and I never bring my plants outdoor because of pest but I think I might try it with my air plants.
What do I do if it has pups?
Leave them; the pups will grow up, bloom, and put out pups of their own, and then *they'll* grow up and bloom, and so on; it's called a clump. You can tie fishing line or wire around it and hang it. Over the years your clump will just keep getting bigger. HTH.
@@Korina42, Can all Tillandsia of all types flower? how much time?
@@jerffwayfarer8265Almost all, I believe. Time depends on the species and your conditions. Every year your plants don't flower is another year for them to grow bigger!
Mine is dead for sure, it's upper leaves look green but the core is pitch black. I don't know what to do about it😢
He said it might get pups. Remove the center and Wait and see.
I have new growth directly in the middle of the air plant. Idk if it is just new growth or could be a pup?
What about the large one next to your left elbow?
Fuzzy are plants that have a lot of trichomes are originally from deserts plus are plants that have a bulbous base must only be dunked and never soaked. Even the smoother green ones that I do so look for a half hour I shake all of them out upside and allow them to dry for 2 hours upside down. The very fuzzy silvery ones like some direct sunlight like from a southern window
Hello. Me from India. Nice information. Thank you. Can these plants be kept under the fan.
Pensei que poderia usar água destilada. Muito bom o conteúdo
Would like to purchase a air plant, buy winter is coming and it is very dry in my condo, can’t take out side, because of the cold and snow. Thank you for sharing your video. I live in Canada 😊
You can probably soak it! Or just mist it fairly often. Hang it in the bathroom? Idk. I'm sure he has better tips than me 😅
Great video. Thank you.
