Oh my god! That looks worse than my $30 usb microscope camera! By the way, I've been experimenting with arducam type image sensors to make a diy microscope camera. I have a setup coming tomorrow that is less than $50USD for 8mp/2k camera sensor and 8x-100x lens. For some reason arducam type pcb cameras went up greatly in price on amazon but you can still find deals from time to time. I will try to update with the results in a video.

Great video, I had an issue with the left click button where i needed to push really hard or it wouldnt drag properly etc. I noticed that the top button was slightly depressed than the right button so took it apart, applied some nail polish coats to add layers, top buttons are now perfectly balanced and it works great now! I also used the contact cleaner and compressed air (spotted some dust bunnies near the wheel inside) to just ensure nothing else would come up for another year at the least.

This is why Aliexpress is one of the worst for dealing with dishonest sellers. I was sent completely different items that what was described, and even after many weeks of trying to navigate their ridiculous dispute process, I never got a refund. I ended up opening a case with Paypal. Always deal with eBay as you have a high chance of winning disputes there.

Mine randomly started going into overheat sleep mode and yeah I’m guessing it’s the fan. It doesn’t charge my joycons so I’m gonna have to attempt this, I’ve taken electronics apart before and built pcs so this shouldn’t be an issue. Thanks for your upload Edit also subbed, you earned it buddy

I've been thinking about such a project for years, but I don't have the right knowledge of electronics and programming, but a lot of ideas in ergonomics and form design. As a program designer from the 80s to the end of the 90s in CAD/CIM, the mouse has always annoyed me. i hate the keyboard with Shift+Ctr+Alt plus right mouse click. 3dconnection is too expensive for me. I am a pensioner. So your DIY Space Mouse with 12 buttons with small LCD ergonomic all around, that would be ideal. Similar to the large 3DConnection models. I would hardly need the keyboard anymore. I work hobby-like with SolidWorks (ancient), Fusion 360, Davinci Resolve, Thanks again for your great work. HD
