Because this was the 1st time using the drone I carried out a few test drops first and also explain how I use the Aeroo Drones, Aeroo Pro in detail by also screen recording my phone showing the controls I use. I also include the 4K video quality that the drone takes as well!

    So wading in deep mud to catch bass is the answer.so what happens if you get stuck? Or have a heart attack while your wading in the mud.Do you have any kind of insurance?

    • @fisheatrepeat
      @fisheatrepeat 12 годин тому

      @MrPaulmclaren722 hey mate! I have a few answers to that 1. most importantly, before I came over from NZ Marcus advised me to get good quality waders that have separate shoes. The waders basically have waterproof socks/booties that you put your feet into. This means you have better movement and worst case you can actually take your feet out and then you could just get out on your hands and knees. 2. I'm an experienced fisherman brought up on the coast of north island of NZ. I've done floundering with spears and netting in mud and brought up on a farm with gumboots and mud haha I've Def been in worse! 3. If I have a heart attack I'm fkd 🤣 but at least there's reception here. I go fishing and hunting in NZ in the middle of NO WHERE and having a health event there would be much worse. Tho I do carry a PLB with me on dodgy trips. 4. I had travel insurance yes always have travel insurance and I'm a Kiwi (NZ) we have free health care inc from injuries overseas so that is never a worry on my mind thankfully 👌 Thanks for watching and great question!

      @MrPaulmclaren722 Годину тому

      @@fisheatrepeat to be honest with you what kind of insurance did your guide have? After all your just following his lead .I have seen Marcus in action and how deep he likes to be in the mud. I have stocking foot waders as well as many fishermen do ,you still have to undo boots by which time could be under a few feet of thick mud.then you will need to get yourself out of your waders.Good luck on that one.

    • @fisheatrepeat
      @fisheatrepeat Годину тому

      @MrPaulmclaren722 I never felt unsafe, mate. He knows I'm a Kiwi, we were also mates and knew each other, back in NZ before I went over. we generally like to push the limits a bit. I'd never consider insurance, I'd never ever sue unless i wasn't comfortable in that situation. it doesn't even register in my mind. Note I'm a Food safety quality manager in my day job, I specialise in risk mitigation so I'm not saying I'm non-chalant just that I wouldn't have done it if I didn't feel sale and likewise Marcus wouldn't have pushed me. I've absolutely been in MUCH nastier mud by myself at night floundering which is far more dangerous. I have travel insurance and as I said if I was injured I'd take 4 weeks off work on ACC pay 👌 Saying all of the above. I'm not overly keen to fish/hunt in US because of all the suing, insurance risks etc in NZ majority of risk falls on the person unless the guide has deliberately put you in harms way, where you were unaware of the risk. Cheers

    Why target sharks? Fishing for food is one thing. Sharks are another. They are top of the food chain and because of over fishing are now becoming endangered. Just a thought.

    • @fisheatrepeat
      @fisheatrepeat 12 годин тому

      @davebolland3185 hey mate! I don't usually target sharks it's mainly to test the capability of the drone. I used to do it up north (here) a lot as a teenager. I was going to release it if I caught it. I will eat shark but only small ones the larger sharks are full of heavy metals. In NZ bronze whaler are in NO WAY ENDANGERED and that's what we're after here. Great question tho cheers

    • @fisheatrepeat
      @fisheatrepeat 9 днів тому

      @azooozalzhrani3413 hey mate great question!! It's faaaar less bright as is the weakest light on the visible light spectrum. It's awesome for 2 reasons: #1 using on a boat or anywhere where you have bright Nav lights or deck lights and don't want the headlight to impinge on your white light visibility or prevent you seeing in front of you. #2 when out hunting in the bush, it's muuuch weaker than standard white light. This means you can see where you're walking but animals can't see the light from further away so it's a lot more discreet 🤙

    Hey Dave. How many casts do you generally get from the Aeroo Pro drone batteries. I’m about to order one and wondering how many batteries I’ll need. With my Mavic Air 2 and 2s I generally get 2 casts of around 300m which means I have 8 batteries 😳

      @idronefish only 2 drops on a mavic air2 battery? I sometimes got up to 5 haha. And because it's got clip swivel on it I can clip on any fishing rig i want and always know it will work and be long enough 🤙 It's also called sacrificial because it's only 50lb thickness this is so if I get a snag it breaks off at the trace rather than breaking off 300m of braid etc 👌

    cool to see bro, I've lived in wanganui my whole life (28 years) and never had the opportunity to go hunting here or anywhere at all. meat prices are too much these days. I've been fishing for food 4 times in the last month and caught nothing aside from a few herrings

    • @fisheatrepeat
      @fisheatrepeat 24 дні тому

      @massivechicken4099 thanks for watching mate!! Ohhh what true? Whanganui has EPIC hunting there's SO MANY goats down there too (which taste delicious!!) It's NEVER to late to start hunting bro. NZ genuinely has some of the easiest hunting in the world. Very limited restrictions, no tags, or seasons (for most game) and we can bow hunt down to a 35lb bow. If you're interested go see ya local NZ deer association and they'll see you right. 🤙 I can't quite put hunting into words. But it's not just about the money savings (and it costs a bit to invest into to start too) but getting your own kai from the whenua (land) you can't put a price on it eh. It's just so good for your mental and physical health. Pm me on insta or fb if ya want any info or advice im still a rookie hunter myself but was brought up hunting.

    • @fisheatrepeat
      @fisheatrepeat 24 дні тому

      @massivechicken4099 Also Bummer about fishing tho, have ya tried drone fishing? It can make hard work easy eh. I had a successful trip fishing off Kai Iwi beach once got some snapper there. Also ya probably know all this already but best time to fish is change of light right in dusk *just my opinion* take different bait and rigs try braid and nylon see what works different tides etc and ask around what others are catching make sure you jump on some local fishing pages

      @fisheatrepeat 24 дні тому

      @massivechicken4099 don't worry about keen mates haha majority of people I go fishing and hunting with I met in social media 🤣 that's why I recommended the nz deer association cause going with someone else who had all their own gear is really cheap eh Also, I don't mean forget your current mates either. I have mates who hunt and fish and mates who don't 👌

    Do u need some sort of permit or license to bow fish for carp ? In NZ

    • @fisheatrepeat
      @fisheatrepeat 25 днів тому

      @nathanrawlings5798 hey bro depending on where you're bow fishing yes/no. If it's doc land you need a permit eh but if you buy an annual license/membership eith the NZ bow hunting society it comes with the permit and $1 mill personal liability insurance for bow hunting/fishing 😅 which since I've bow hunted in some suspect places I'd highly recommend doing haha It's incredibly fun tho eh absolutely recommend. You can buy cheaper ones just with a big spool and some rope and honestly I'd say they're probably easier and less issues to use than a proper compound bow one eh 🤙🤙 if ya want any other deets hit me up on facebook or Instagram 🤙👌

      @officialWWM not necessarily eh in fact some times not at all. Just if there's sign on the sounder really and if ya don't have a sounder drop a whole set of baited sabikis down and drift haha when ya get a jack mack or small snapper then ya might be worth slow pitching. We fish with SPJ over sand quite a bit eh if there's tuatua there

      @@fisheatrepeat excellent, thanks for the advice! I do have a sounder but I like your sabiki idea too. I live in Tasmania and there not a lot of accessible reefs around here. Fishing over sandy bottom in 10 t0 30 meters is pretty common for us.
