Jeanne ist verzweifelt.
Seitdem sie in Paris den charmanten Komponisten Dermont kennengelernt hat, kann sie an nichts anderes denken als an ihn und die Momente, die sie mit ihm verbracht hat. Vor allem an seinem Liebesschwur glaubt sie eisern, bis es mehrere Wochen vergehen und sie keinen Brief von ihm erhält. Dabei waren seine Augen ja so ehrlich zu ihr. Letztendlich beschließt sie ab jetzt alle Männer zu meiden.
