Don't use a foam brush with the stripper because it deteriorates the brush. Use a regular brush. You can also put plastic over the atripper.

The mantel came out great! Maybe you could spray the black screen to match the gallery rail? 🙂

Hi Ebonee I just watched this video. I have one just like this and been planning on transforming it the same way you just did. I haven’t gotten up the nerve to do it since this will be my first time even doing projects like this. I have a lot of projects in the waiting. I would love you input and advice on this. I have the paint already but it is white matte. I really need to get black since I will be painting my walls white and mantel black.

There is another flipper that did the same up until the paint wash, then she used a medium stain on top of that and it brought out the grain without darkening it much.

Thank you! I've been looking for a technique to do some wood pictureframes with a faux mercury glass technique. Have you ever tried it with vinegar instead of Dawn? I've seen that method done with glass but not wood.

Very nice - the painted part not only covered all the flaws, but showed off the lovely parts of the natural wood features. Nothing wrong with painting furniture - sometimes that's the only option.

Just a tip before you start sanding you should always clean the furniture first because they can get quite nasty over time and gum up your sandpaper an make the process longer then it needs to be. Love your work

Paint job looks great! However, the handles look odd. Too small. Also the top handles sit too low, although this may have been requested by your customer. Overall - paint looks excellent.

If using chalk paint no need to sand if shes just beginning .but im sure you know that .

Good job on the dresser! One tip , it is important to wear a mask when you are spraying paint. I saw you had one on when you were sanding, please wear one while spraying as well.

Love a good haul. Great start to collecting some pieces for display once you execute your kitchen remodeling. That fake plant...maybe you can put it in a vessel that fits one of the themes (post modern, rustic, antique, etc) and put it on top of one of the exposed shelves?? Keep 'em coming friend!!

Love the cabinets! Excellent work. I did my kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets as well. You may have already got a method to not get the holes after painting Oak wood. However, I used (Drywall plus 3) with water after sanding. I did this last month. I learned the technique from "DIY Painting and Refinishing" Complete TRANSFORMATION", a UA-cam video by DIY Painting and Refinishing. He explain in detail so you will not have to do a lot of hand painting over and over. 😊
