    Desmond here alana what an out standing video ggod morning alana i am leaving new zealand on monday afternoon headiing to sydney then adelaide staying the night at the crowne plaza join the the group with AAT kings on a 16 day wildlife adventure first time i have be with. AAT kings first time in a helicopter first rime in a air balloon first time ever to the northern territory first time ever seeing crocodiles in the wildlife hope to see a lot of wildlife cruising the billabong yellow river cruising the katherine gorge staeting in adelaide heading to the clare valley rhen flinders ranges then port augusta then woomera then coober pedy staying in the under ground hotel first time ever in a under ground hotel then uluru staying on the stuart highway a 4am start to see the sunrise then the national park then kata tijuta then kings canyon then kings canyon then. Alice springs then karlu karlu then tennant creek then litchfield national park then mataranka katherine. Then kakadu national park then jubiru then darwin where our tour ends flying qantas from auckland i have not heard of some of these places me and the group are staying in hotels motor ijnns resorts double tree hotel contour hotel the hilton flying over kakadu meeting the falzon family have you heard if them alana cannot wait for this tour starts on the 6th of august 2024 fiinishes on the 20th of august 2024 be told to be croc wise snake wise wildlife wise be told to bring a jumperx short sleeve shirt. Buy suntan lotion buy a fly hat to keep the flys away have my suit cases all ready pack so well thats my tour alana when i get back i will tell you what happen alana

    We have the 3 types of Rosella here at Goolwa Beach. I'm pretty sure they seem to interbreed as well. Have seen riverland Rosella paired with an Adelaide

      Hi and thanks for your feedback, glad we are helping as our main aim is to encourage birdwatching. Your question, you could stay at Crater Lakes Rainforest Cottages Lake Eacham Qld. You would likely see Victoria's Riflebird among other good birds .We featured this in our Birding North East Queensland on UA-cam. You could Google ebird Queensland Australia for more great hotspots ,there is many in Queensland. Thanks again.

    How suitable is the Birdsville Track for towing a hybrid Ecotourer caravan with a,4WD. The Hybrid Ecotourer is a semi off road caravan. I am really enjoying your videos, my wife and I are keen to explore further into central Australia, but are not the real Gung ho off road 4WD nuts.

    Why is the Night Heron visible in the daytime despite it being a ‘nocturnal’ bird ?

      They usually just perch in groups in dense bushes during the day but I think this one was used to getting a free feed from fisherman at that landing gutting fish.

    As a resident of South Gippsland and having done the coastal trip across to Adelaide a few times I really enjoyed this video. I love the Yaratinga Wetlands, we spent a few days there at the Bird Photography Conference at Hahndorf this year. You have identified a few more spots I must visit

    Nice, thanks, Bool Lagoon was dry as a bone and no birds when I was there one summer, several years ago. (you did say it is seasonal, I guess I was there at the wrong time).

      Bool Lagoon has no water in it more often that not. There's got to be good, consistent rain for it to fill up, which might only happen every third winter these days.

      Not exactly in our backyard, but we did find them in Darwin, 3,000kms away .If you want to see them look at Australian birds Birding NT Part 1 at the 14min 12 sec mark. They're cute little birds.

      Yes. They certainly come in a range of colours and the different races have been a bit contentious.
