What an absolutely marvelous video! As a budding birdwatcher residing in Adelaide, I must say that this is one of the very few videos that has truly ignited my interest.
Thank you so much for this! I love the beautiful birds of Australia. I groaned when I heard the cocky... five o'clock on a summer morning... on HOLIDAYS. Who hasn't gotten woken up by them???
Wow, I went to Nangawooka for the first time recently and hardly saw any birds. What a variety you saw! I'd never even heard of the crested shrike-tit before. I'll have to make some more trips to the park now that I live on the Fleurieu. Thank you for your great video.
Great to see the birdlife on the othert side of the world, nice colection of birds coming to that pool. Enjoyed the birding advetures from you, you got a new sub!
Hello Greg it is wonderful to see birds in nature loved the yellow Rosella towards the end this is a great documentary lovely is the white cockatoo i loved this video i thank you for sharing i liked and subscribed to your channel
Nice work, Greg and Alana! You sure have this kind of thing down pat! You also have the right equipment and that bird hide is terrific, too. Beats the heck out of the only one I've been in. It turned me off going into a bird hide again.
We have the 3 types of Rosella here at Goolwa Beach. I'm pretty sure they seem to interbreed as well. Have seen riverland Rosella paired with an Adelaide
Lucky Australian you have rich of wildlife and some are protected I come from Indonesia live in Europe I hope in my country ( Indonesia ) will a take example from Australia to protect wildlife seriously there in Indonesia .
Just a month ago I was there visiting Adelaide and Victor Harbor but it was march and heading into the winter and the presence of these birds was not as plentiful. We did visit the Cleland conservation area and there were plenty of birds there...water birds for sure. Plenty of Rosella, Parakeets, Lorikeets, Magpies, Cockatoos and even a couple of kookaburra when we were in Ulladulla.. We missed all the 40 degree temperatures, the weather was nice. Back in NYS and it's been cold and rainy right into the middle of May. Not a lot of birds.
We have the Rainbow Lorikeet here east of Melbourne. My (late) wife and I took up calling them the "bully boys". On the odd occasion we'd put out food for birds, the Lorikeets would see off any competition, including Sulphur-crested Cockatoos.

They are particularly noisy screechers but they do let up sometimes, unlike the Koel!

It's a great hide, although a friend took film of a brown snake coming in there. She was thrilled but I wouldn't have been so keen!
@@alanadare7052 Nor me!
