I just won my first insane game, following this guide. However, I left anti-magic shield at level 2.5 (adept) and somehow it only blew up once in the entire game. Somehow equilibrium was apparently decreasing and I don't even understand why or how. In any case, thank you for the guide. This build had the easiest time ever in the final fight, inner demons on Elandar absolutely wrecked them both. One minor point, you mentioned Mental Tyranny as a possible second prodigy, but in my opinion that one is outclassed by far by Ethereal Form. Which also adds resistance penetration, but provides a massive defense boost on top of it.

Ghoul 50% is ur positive life, not your negative, so if your positive life is 100, and your negative is 900, you can only take 50 hp dmg. Never touch con, never get + life gear, only lowering life gear, only regen gear + ur other stats. Ghoul > Age of Dusk > 5 points golden age of necromancy, low AF max life, Fungus (2nd point max not first) + conditioning vitality for infinite mega regen. Never be able to be one shot from positive hp, become immortal for 1 turn below max hp, regenerate above 1 on that immortal turn, get hit again, become immortal again. Literal invincibility.

Awesome video, this game deserved a great review like this. Hyper Demon is one of the most unique games I’ve ever played and it brings back arcade-era gameplay density in the best way. I’ve made it to the final boss almost 20 times now, I have yet to beat it, but I’m fine with that, because it keeps me wanting more!

I'm having problem with the Windtouch speed prodigy prerequisite, I have a total of 10 level on Antimagic and Mindstar Mastery and ofcs 50 dex but I still cant learn the prodigy. Any help?

never stop running f tier...right...enough stamina regen it's infinite movement for no turn forever. Revisionist history/cauterize. Use revisionist history with cauterize, go extreme ham for 19 rounds, if cauterize procs, use it, escape to safety and full hp/cooldowns and no cauterize burn. Hold down skip turn button for 10 turns, redo. This method u can never ever die, F-tier, gimmi a break.

I think cauterize is overrated too, but it's at least b tier.

I can carry the world is better than Arcane Might on classes like berserker (because you get 120% from Str on your weapon and you don't need to sacrifice other secondary stats). I think you underrate it a bit. Browsing roguelike insane Bulwark winners on the vault, almost all of them took ICCTW while eternal guard was picked by only about 10% of them. By the way I tested Legacy on the Naloren against Flexible Combat on two berserkers (after winning the game with both). The Flexible Combat berserker was using the Murdering Blade and Dakthun's Gauntlets. I compared their bump damage on a dummy, using the vault to make sure all other equipment was the same. Result: bump damage was about equal over 1000 turns. However, that means Legacy of the Naloren is actually better when you're using weapon skills.. of course it is also harder to get, but it looks like the payoff is there.

I almost made it with an insane alchemist and Time Prison destroyed me, too.

3:40 I can assure you it definitely does make it harder to hit you. Especially at mid to long range. I was stuck below 1000 elo for a week and a half until I started incorporating the slides and fakes. However most people above 1250 elo are pretty good at picking up habits so if you do the same thing every time you run out of ammo they will take advantage.

0:20 So it actually got the update 3 weeks ago. The recent patch was just for bug fixes, quality of life, and the community post just made it less cryptic to find. The announcement was aligned with the games anniversary too

IMO danger sense is vastly underrated. It gives you a second roll in case you failed a safe. Even if that's at a malus, if your saves are high you can reroll that unlucky roll on your 10% fail chance.

Sun Paladin is the sun class and Anorithil is the twilight class that mixes the sun and moon, but I really want a pure moon darkness mage. Minionless mage necro kinda does this, but it feels like more "evil darkness" than "moon darkness" if you know what I mean.

wow, I try Anorithil every once in a while and I feel so dumb I never realized you can turnoff all three hymns at once to get every effect simultaneously. I think when I played, I always went crit way too early since crit with corona is the big draw of the class for me, so I need to be patient and only go for crit later.

Another off-hand item that's also pretty cool is the Lunar Shield. It gives you 0.3 Star fury mastery, 40% darkness damage and a 10% spell proc moonlight ray.

yeah the starting zone for most anorithil is such a pain. It's doable, but it takes time to learn, and if you are unlucky with spawns, you can die easily

Another excellent video. Would be curious to see how Ogre plays out with this class. You could dual wield a 2H staff with dagger, take advantage of the inscription cooldown on crit, and use the last category point for a sixth inscription. Losing access to the font may be too high of a price to pay though. I’d like to see your take on Brawler at some point.

Projection is really really good on higher difficulties. The trick is to use movement infusion so that you can traverse your projection to great distances and single out some really hard foe. Then you mindlink, cast all your mind damage, sleep and inner demons (which also works while projected), and if you are yeek you can also summon yeek mob to help you. 90% of elite mobs will be dead for sure and your character will be chilling from half the map away. It also works great in cultist hideout, saved me there countless times.

I would need to make a 20000 letter text to describe how much i love time itself and all the reflective thoughts and philosophy you can have about it, beyond that, how much it has potential in fiction. I love it so much that i'm making a sci-fi story where time is one of the main subjects of the story, with it's own unique concept that i created and a philosophical teatching to the reader. so discovering about a game where you can be a chronomancer and have powers about almost every kind of time extension was very exciting, but this game seems so logical and complicated and time-consuming and... Not fun...

Well, this class is insanely strong, after horrible t1 zones i facerolled dark crypt on insane. Finding loremaster escort and taking mind sear helps a lot in early game.

44:45 to get around this issue if you really wanted to go antimag on annihliator, could taking superpower instead of arcane might, and then building will instead of mag, been an ok substitute? Or at that point, since you'll already have so much power from MoD anyway, would it be better to go for another prodigy entirely like PES?
