Just shot a concert with it last night, turned out great. Quite a challenge because well, I wanted to challenge myself. Brought no other lenses, shot strictly at f2. Pretty hard with no auto focus but the results speak for themselves, especially when you nail the focus on the shot just right. Great lens.

Beautiful. Nice colors. As someone that uses slomo maybe 2% of my work this is pleasing. Just getting images of your daughter and yourself are worth the time. I was 2 camera C70 shooter before getting the C400 and getting rid of a C70 & R5c. They are all good.

With all the buzz and hype surrounding the C80, it's dope to see the C70 still looking beautiful and powerful. I mean, obviously...it's still a "new" camera. Beautiful shots, grading, audio! I don’t know how you managed to shoot this on a C70? Several UA-camrs said the lack of full frame, perceived sharpness, CFast, SDI and IBIS was a no-go. Moreover, they said all C70s would stop working and turn into bricks when the C80 was announced.

It was so inspiring to be out in this part of the country with the camera!

It’s amazing how good the focus fall off looks on the c70. So smooth🫶 i don’t know why they went with such a high mp sensor on the c80. Oh yeah and the Dog is soooooo cute😄

Great video, answered many of my questions. As a relative beginner to video currently using a 5d3, I was tempted to go the camcorder route (XA50) for simple UA-cam videos but the C200 looks like something I could learn from and I already have some decent EF lenses.

I'm a C70 owner and I've gotten a lot of good practice trying to learn from your videos, so thank you. I try not to breathe haze in tight spaces and have had some fun messing with bg nets instead, something you might enjoy if you haven't tried it. You could never do it on someone else's dime, you'd get fired, but for UA-cam it's a blast.

It shines with the CN-E 18-80 and using the RAW workflow. 8bit looks great if you expose correctly.

on a canon c200,can I use A radio focus?

No need for a new latest camera in 2024. I've been still using C300s and FS5s I've never had a new camera. BTW I personally wouldn't buy from anywhere except Adorama. Their return policy and quality control is very accurate. Their "well used" is still in very good shape, and as of today Sep 25, 2024, C200s are going for $1670.

Would be cool to see a straight up side-by-side of the original unedited footage next to you color grade for "The Storm". Maybe half the screen color graded, the other half not.

Shit, I have two c70s, R5c, and two XF605s and wonder do I have too much shit. 6k? who cares. We all know it is also about the lens. You should buy cameras like you buy cars. You buy a 2024, do you buy a 2025 when it comes out? No. You only get a new one when its time when specific issues hold you back. Depending on when you got that c70, that should hold you for years. I jumped from the 1dx to C70s when they came out. I hated audio connection on 1Dx and there was no log. The c70 hit everything I needed. When I film with r5c for a while I forget how good the c70 is.

I've been using DR since 15, but I am now trying to dive deeper into it and learn the whole tool. Its a beast!
