Primes are great obviously. RF glass is stunning, but so is the price!.. so for now I just use my EF glass. So far with my C70 I like the Sigma 18-35 f1.8 - very versatile, fast and sharp. I also bought a used 24-105 f4 Mark 1 and it's a surprisingly good lens on the C70 and having the IS helps a bit. I also like my 200 f2.8 mark 2 and my 100 2.8 macro (rev 1) is great for interviews and close ups.
@@BrockRoberts I agree -I'm not in a hurry to acquire a speedbooster just yet because I have concerns over the chromatic aberration concerns, but I know overall it's very good
@@BrockRoberts Good to know - I like the extra stop of light, the extra barrier from dust on the sensor and the solid, 4-point screw into the body it provides. I may have to give it a chance - maybe I can rent one to try out
Nice video bro! I also use the C70 and the .71x adapter, but I only have the 18-35mm that I use with the normal EF adapter. Do you think the 35mm would still be worth the investment? Also, I plan on getting a B cam to pair nicely with the C70 and I'm thinking R6II. Do you think it is possible to have similar results or I need to aim higher? I'm still using an 80D as a B cam =/.
@@thiagovianna6539 the full frame look is is definitely nice with the speed booster! I would say it’s worth it to me. The R6ii is a great camera! You can match it pretty close with the c70 but it definitely takes some work to get it there
In terms of the second camera, I use a plugin called “CineMatch” that matches loads of different cameras. I use it with my C70 and Panasonics and it matches very very close, I would recommend it even if you are using the same manufacturer

@@gonefishinzach7811 if I’m running a lav, I’ll just use the DJI Mic 2’s into the mic input on the C70. If I’m running a shotgun or something else I go into the mini XLR
@@BrockRoberts So I just got a c70 and am trying to figure out how to use the rode wireless pro into the mic input. If you're using the two lavs they come with, does the c70 separate the two channels, and can you control the gain from the knob on the c70? Thanks!
@@gonefishinzach7811 the C70 will view it as a stereo single. So one mic will be in ch1 and the other will be ch2. Then you’ll need to set the ch 1 and 2 I put to the “mic” and then you can control gain from there back of the camera

I believe that the purple flare you are talking about is the speed booster on the C70. It’s a known issue on that adapter.
I’ve heard that but I’ve also seen a very similar flare on the 35mm on my R6ii as well so I’m not sure 🤷🏼♂️
