Hotel St. Charles in Carson City Nevada
Long considered a paranormal hotspot by some investigators we found ourselves up that way and decided to let 24 surveillance determine if any of the claims were in fact true.

    I stayed at this hotel this week and I knew about the history right after I checked in. I recorded footage from my room and I might post it now that I have checked out. I explored the hotel and let me tell you it felt every cheapy at times - especially in the hallways and on the elevator for sure. That was the wildest part the elevator rides that left me nervous every time the doors opened. @justron1865 - what an experience staying there. So sad.....

      Always glad to hear a review from others who stayed on the same property, especially after the passage of such a great amount of time. I would encourage you to do a video, if for no other reason than to compare historical footage with recent footage and the changes the hotel has gone through. I don't even know who owns it now as it has changed hands two or three times in that last decade or so. Just a slight warning that now that UA-cam is owned by Google they are very tight on censorship of particular words, like "death" or "suicide". It makes it hard to make paranormal videos because for it to be paranormal someone had to leave a dead imprint somewhere along the way. The long version of the video had been posted for years when we suddenly got a warning notice that it would be taken down unless it was earmarked for an "over 18" audience and had suicide hotline numbers playing on a thread in the background. We were getting about three or four viewers a week after all the years it had been up and when we had provided the warnings before entry into the site our viewership jumped to 999 in a single day. If their idea was to keep people from viewing it...I don't think it worked. It leveled off after a month or so as the looky-loos moved on. We are now making a video of a hunt we did in Pioche Nevada at the Overland Hotel where the owner was murdered in the 1960's but rest assured that words like "murder" will be changed into something more "fashionable" something the spiders that crawl over the site might overlook. Be careful how you post about your visit and send me a link. I would love to see it.

      We were in Reno about this time last year and on return to Las Vegas passed through Tonopah around twenty minutes to midnight. Everything in town was closed and we were looking for a restroom break. We knew that Tonopah Station (being a casino) was twenty four hours. We walked in just in time to hear them announce that the Casino was closing in ten minutes and those without rooms would have to vacate. We got our restroom break but it was a shock to watch them lock the doors behind us when it has been open twenty four hours since being built. They used to have bands playing at night now they just lock it up.

      @@StanJanParanormal It saddens me to know that. The station house used to be a blast. Crazy times there, back in the 90’s. It’s indicative of the changes that have come to Nevada. 911 was the start of the demise. Prior to that, musicians could make a decent living, playing the circuit. Ah well… nothing lasts forever.

    • @StanJanParanormal

      @@paulnicolosi4792 (I don't know if you are still in the state or not, so just assuming that you or other readers are not) From what we have gleaned from locals, it wasn't 911 that brought about the changes. I thought it was politics, but that hasn't panned out either. In 2014-18, we had a Republican governor, Brian Sandoval, replaced by Democrat Steve Sisolak. According to the locals, what affected the outlying towns most was that Sisolak pulled all the resources for the medical facilities that were operating on state stipends. Most small towns had a clinic with at least one doctor and some staff. That ended...Unless it has changed recently, these towns now have no medical resources. They have to call a helicopter to be brought in. It dampers activities that attract tourists. It made no sense to me as the Dems are usually for health care funding. Then, when Sisolack was replaced by Republican Joe Lombardo, he made no effort to reestablish the clinics either. I guess politics had no play in it. I know that we just concluded a four-day hunt in Pioche at the Overland Hotel. Again, there are no health services after the sun goes down. You get hurt, and the closest town with services is Caliente, about thirty miles away, and you would probably have to bang on the door of the State Police. We walked Pioche's Boot Hill in the dark at midnight with a thermal imaging camera. I filmed while my wife held a flashlight to watch for rattlesnakes. Don't think that I wasn't aware of the dangers of it. and afterward, I realized that it probably wasn't the smartest thing that we had done during our investigations.

You could see a perfect butt print form out of nowhere. I put my hand in the area, and whatever was there must not have liked that, and I watched the butt print go away. Very interesting experience. It seems likely that the entire downtown Kingman area could be haunted. Including the high school I attended, Kingman/Lee Williams High School. This school was featured on Ghost Adventures a few years ago. I published a video on my channel featuring this topic along with other Kingman related videos. We researched it once again well after we made our video and I thought I had located an owner but it was just a blind alley (so to speak).. If you still live in Kingman try digging the owner up and find out how to get us in. We could make it a joint venture.

      @StanJanParanormal 7 місяців тому

      Thanks for the kind comment. We all have our story and you may be amused or perplexed by mine since you already brought it up. As you were, I was born into an LDS household and of course, was baptized LDS. This goes back a long way, I will be Seventy in a couple of months, and times (even in the church) were a little different then. There was not much cash flow around after the close of WWII. When I was about two or three years old my parents bought a long and slender home in Sherman Oaks, CA. The home had been a Guinea coop. During WWII the government had raised Guineas to slaughter, package, and ship to the troops overseas. At the end of the war to recoup the loss in business the owners just put sides on them and turned them into cheap housing for the servicemen coming back, so the building was narrow and long. The woman my parents purchased from was a Mrs. Sealey. Mrs. Sealey's husband had died during the war, I don't know from what, but the old lady was so lonely that she held nightly seances in the home to try to contact him. She did this daily for eight years and then every night went and slept at the neighbor's home because she was afraid to stay in her own home. She did this for eight years. My mother got that info from the neighbors. Needless to say, the house was a silent terror. My mother told me (once I was a young man) that the house was highly active, which is the terminology I would use today. She said her first clue was a few days after moving in and as a young bride of a serviceman she was washing glasses in the kitchen sink and stacking them in rows like a general setting forth his soldiers. She turned to dry glass and a separate single glass had slid out from the row and moved all the way to the far end of the counter. That was her first sign. As was traditional during the period, my parents slept in separate bedrooms. My mother slept with a small dog in the room and one night something picked the dog up and flung it into the wall near the ceiling. She said it was a race between her and the dog to get out of the room. Something in the night would crawl on the bed and under the covers and she would kick it off. One night she let it stay and it snuggled up to her as though it was a child and she said she told it "Well if that's all you want to do you can stay". After that, it did not repeat. I had a brother six years older than me and our bedroom was at the very end of the structure. We slept in bunk beds with me on the top bunk with wooden railings and my brother on the bottom bunk so he could wake if I got restless or he needed to use the restroom. In the morning my parents would find me tucked underneath my brother's bunk on the floor. I was three, too young to climb out of the top bunk. They accused my brother of playing a hoax. My dad would sneak into the room and sit in a chair in the corner and watch to see if my brother was taking me out of the top bunk. On the nights he watched, nothing happened. If he didn't sit in there I would be moved. Even at my age at night, I awoke to being moved. It was gentle and I recall it. I did not see anything that was cradling me. Perhaps it felt that I was too young to be in a top bunk and was trying to protect me. My mother went to the church and asked the Bishop to come to bless the home and the Bishop refused, telling her that the only ghost was the "Holy Ghost" and telling my father that it was "newlywed jitters". My mother walked away from the church and never went to service again in her whole lifetime. She did maintain her work with the Relief Society and Geneology. When I got old enough I went into the Priesthood and quickly decided it was not for me. I went to many churches out of curiosity and some I liked and stayed, but most did not. Later in life I joined the Masonic Lodge and have been a member and Lodge Master twice here in Las Vegas. It is not a church, but a life philosophy that you can accept or reject. Most of the guys think I am a kook, but not all of them. A couple of them are LDS and medical doctors and have borrowed equipment from me (such as REM pods) to take to the hospitals and into the rooms where the nurses have claimed that they have witnessed activity. They keep it quiet in the church and the hospital. My only advice is that "some will support" and "some will not". Use discretion as you go about as we all have our own journeys. I am putting out some new videos on the merits of types of equipment and should be releasing them in a couple of weeks. You may contact me directly at stanjanparanormal@cox.net if you have questions. I may not respond immediately due to my caseload, but will respond. I would be interested in your recollection of your haunted encounter.

    Most excellent work Stan! Just a few “paranormal” experiences perhaps, but I am totally fascinated with your software and EVP captures! Every investigation in a home, and many other places, complaints of hearing people talk in another room, but just quite enough it can’t be made out. I’ve told a few of my paranormal friends about this and your channel. Some have started getting the software and are trying to break down some of the sounds captured on their investigations. They have been able to find voices, conversations and responses to their questions in a few cases! I think it’s very exciting! I thank you for the hundreds of hours put in to these videos! I appreciate them and enjoy them! Thank you! Well done👏👏👏 ❤Jil

      @StanJanParanormal 8 місяців тому

      Thank you very much Jil-Brian. Often I wonder if all these "ghost hunters" groups that have unveiled themselves in the last few years are actually pursuing some form of science or just trying to get revenue from hits off of UA-cam or other advertising. It's good to know that not everyone who claims to be an investigator isn't just trying to scare other people who don't know any better. Tell your friends to begin by following our recommendations. Video and Audio software is very daunting and can be a real hurdle to get over. As I showed in this video, Audacity is freeware and a pretty place to start. If you want to publish it on a video site (even if it is just the Audacity capture you will have to have a video program or a "workaround"). An excellent workaround is "OBS" which is gaming software and also freeware. OBS (just google for it) is used so gamers can display their desktops to another gamer and blast each other in real-time. After figuring out how to use it (start with the instructions online) you would take the capture from Audacity, pull your findings up on the desktop, and then open OBS. You can configure OBS to just show on the lower part of your screen. Once you click the function for "play" or "record" you can then minimize OBS and it will record your screen as though it was recording a live game. Just start your video capture as though you were gaming with it. Now, you will get a notice telling you that OBS is not intended for this use (it will sense that there is no live play) and that it may shut down, but so far it has not shut down on me. This is an easy workaround for those not having deep pockets or the time to learn complicated software. Some of the other techniques we use we have to keep to ourselves for the moment to have a head up in the field. Now, I hope your friends are prudent in what they may capture and remember that censors exist (especially for UA-cam) and between you and me they don't work anyway. A video we made quite a few years back on a mass suicide at a hotel in Salt Lake City was getting about 50 views a week and when UA-cam jammed us up that it was inappropriate (after all those years) we had to adjust the status to "adults only" the next day the views went up 999. I don't think that the censorship worked.) We made many captures in the Binion suite that I would not post. I have no way of proving it, but I sincerely believe that some were heinous and criminal in nature, and posting them may have left my wife and I subject to inspection by the cousins of those past "brothers". And.. be aware that not every suspected sound capture is something otherworldly. I am finishing up a video on the St. Charles Hotel in Carson City and ran across a sound comparable to the capture at Binion's. After about two hours of playing with it, it was just that..a sound of probably the building settling; nothing paranormal, just normal. You have to post the captures with the non-captures, to be honest and help the real paranormal community move forward.

      Typical response from desk management. Years back at the Mizpah (same owners as the Belvada) the "haunted" room was room 305. On our first visit, we booked that room for a two-day hunt and did capture a pin-head-type red anomaly on surveillance which we believe was the legendary "Lady in Red" trying to materialize. The surveillance unit was on IR, which cannot capture colors while in that mode, and yet..it did. On our next stay, we found room 305 to be already occupied and took a room on the second floor which yielded sporadic EMF captures by cell sensor and REM pod all night long, but alas...no sightings. On our third visit, we found that the haunted room, room 305, now had the historical placard removed from the door frame and we were told that the "haunted room" was now down the third-floor hallway and was now a suite (higher rental fee). Apparently, the ghost got bored with the same old room for the last hundred or so years and had relocated into a more elaborate suite. If the desk clerk at the Belvada alluded that there was a specific haunted room but would not reveal it I would guess that he was waiting for a little "palm greasing". I would have tried slipping him a ten spot under the counter and see if he all of a sudden remembered the room number. Not suggesting that others try that, but we have been doing these hunts for almost twenty years now and have used all kinds of motivational techniques on staff and management so we would have given it some kind of shot. When we did the hunt at the El Tovar on the Grand Canyon I asked a very robust bellman (who carried both surveillance units at one time up four flights of stairs) if he had any experiences and he told me politely that he had not. Those units were very heavy and I tipped him $20 for getting them to the room in one piece and while not even breathing heavily at that 6,000 ft altitude. Soon he came back when no one was watching and started telling us his personal experiences...yeah he had a few and it was worth listening to them as they helped later with historical information about the property. Later it also helped get me into the hotel employees' corridors where a homicide had occurred in the early 1900's.

      Glad you enjoyed it, especially for the video being as old as it is. A curious side note was that after we stayed here in 2014, I located Carmina living in a rest home in Escondido, California. I was going to write her and request an interview and put to rest the story of the "ghost in the mirror" accordingly to her own testimony, but I didn't want to bother the old lady if the owner had already spoken to her directly. I called three times to speak with owner John H. without a response. That third time I waited on hold for half an hour or so and pretty much figured out that he wasn't interested in talking to me or knowning the truth. I never did write to Carmina, propbably long dead by now. Feel free to jump on board and watch some of the rest of our videos. We were going to stay at the Old Grand Canyon Hotel there not too long back, but their lobby is only open a few hours a day and if you aren't there by check in, well you aren't going to be there at all. The Weathford in Flagstaff won out on that one.

      It will be in the works as it has been started, but it isn't going anywhere for the moment. Since then, we did a two-day hunt at the Apache Hotel / Rm 400, which was mobsters Benny Binion's room for business and private gaming. (The hotel promotes it as his suite for living in, but according to my historian sources, it was never used for that). While doing the hunt, an EVP came and went that was so loud it woke both of us up. Upon slowing down and reviewing it on surveillance using the same methods of deciphering EVP murmuring refined in the House of the Temple hunt, it appears at the outset to be a homicide that occurred in that room. Of course, we weren't there and that probably goes back to the 1950s-60's so it could have just been an initiation ceremony to join the mob. But we felt that it took precidence over the second part of the House of the Temple posting. It has been very time-consuming and we have another hunt at the Hotel St. Charles in Carson City next month, so time is of the essence.

      Thank you Jil for the comments. We accept good and bad reviews, although I do reserve the right to banter back about negative reviews if I disagree with the opposing opinion. I feel that two folks arguing something out will find the truth somewhere in the middle. I only take reviews down if they have nasty verbage or are just so stupidly worded that it appears to be contrived so as just to irritate myself or other viewers. You will find the more in depth reviews come out of the state of Arizona as they are politically conservative and believe that records should be made public (following certain criteria). I can access death certificates up to within 60 years of current time but in order to repost they have certain stipulations to be met, such as the cause of death can be revealed, but only for medical information so a description of the cause of death must be discussed unless it is something that is apparent like a gunshot. In those videos I always present what the medical terminolgy means which is somewhat tedious to the viewer, and I get that. The most lengthy review of this type was at the Hotel Monte Vista, (just down the street from the Weatherford) as I personally reviewed around 12,000 death certificates for the history. Now, that's Arizona law. If you go to a hotel in California, for instance, you would have to have a court order to access those records. As for the Shiloh Inn videos, upon a complaint, UA-cam branded them as portraying self harm content and locked them with parental review criteria. When they did so my viewer count went from about 50 or so a month to 999 that first day. I don't think that system works as intended.

    I have a story about the Belvada. I was staying at the Mizpah while the Belvada was being remodeled. I was at the bar at the casino next door and started talking to 2 guys. Turns out they were gutting the Belvada to get ready for the remodel. As i have always had a fascination with the paranormal I started asking them if they had any experiences. The one guy had also helped in the renovation of the Mizpah and said his tools would go missing only to show up later. He aslo said he would see shadows out of the corner of his eye down in the basement. I asked them about the Belvada and he said they had experiences all the time. The younger guy said the was so freaked out by all the shadows that he would just ignore it. He didnt want to engage it and he said he never goes in the building alone. The other guy said he would see shadows all the time and hear footsteps. Well a few drinks later he said hey I have the keys, do you wanna go check it out ? I said hell yea !! We went across the street and started in the basement, very creepy with little rooms, it looked like people used to live down there ? Or maybe it was for the help ? There is also an old bank valut down there. We made our way up to the top floor. We were probably a bit loud, laughing etc. So on the way back down we had stopped on one of the landings and we all heard something running directly above us on the next floor up. I mean it was clear as day and very heavy footsteps. Needless to say we all stopped laughing and quickly made our way out of the building. Anyway thats my Belvada story. Just wanted to share. Pretty sure its haunted

      Fascinating story! I am guessing that since the one worker had the keys, no other workers on a night shift could have produced the footfalls. If you watched our full video...we had to leave off where the newspaper reports ended and I never did make it over to the library at UNLV to see if they had later additions on file. Covid shut all that research down for those who weren't students, but now that you reminded me, I will try to get over there and look at the microfilms. I found no recorded deaths in the early years, but in the later years (50's to 70's) it was apartments, kind of a flop house from what I was told by locals. Certainly, some deaths...drug use, etc... had to have occurred. You had an experience worth repeating to others.

I wouldn't mind if you borrow exerts of our videos except that UA-cam will call you on it for copyright infringement. Those spider-bot things don't miss much. Your channel would get "dinged," and you only get three dings, and they will take your channel down. That especially applies to music. (Only use music in your videos if you have paid for the rights and can demonstrate it.) I personally know, having been on the other end of It when we first got started. If you ever want to copy another channel's information as part of your video, you must do it in parody form where at the start you have a disclaimer stating such and you have something encasing the borrowed information indicating that it was borrowed as a parody. We use the blue screens that are available for download that you can find just by doing a search on "blue video motion." To see how it is done look at our recent video on part 1 of the Scottish Rite House of the Temple, our most recent posting. Good luck with your research and endeavors.

    Not to burst your bubble, as I'm an avid believer of the paranormal myself - BUT . . . that appears to be a projection reflection of two people walking down the street. I'm a 'sensitive' currently staying at the St. Michael for a few days and I can honestly attest there is something here . but from what I'm gathering is that when a car is parked in a certain way outside it can reflect an image on the wall. - BUT I am not discounting ghosts in this hotel. In fact and so far, I think I have one following me down 'the Row'.

    • @StanJanParanormal
      @StanJanParanormal Рік тому

      No bubble burst here. We rely on equipment captures, not feelings so you are not hurting the feelings of our equipment, as with equipment, it is either there or it is not. We spent some time considering that perhaps the image could be a reflection from somewhere outside and discounted it due to: 1)the only curtain slightly open that light could have come through was the small space near the A/C unit that could not be shut because of that unit running. 2); Although the ambient light through that opening did project on the wall (and camera) of the capture, the reflection alone was near the door in an alcove, and therefore that image could not have been projected onto that wall from that reflection. 3.)If the camera alone captured the image from the outside (thus imprinting the surveillance directly, as you claim) then it would have also captured all subsequent reflections of the same type from like sources. If you are truly at St. Michael then you know that the sidewalk below our second-story window looked down on the Whisky Row sidewalk...the main sidewalk that is continually jammed with pedestrians except when the "don't cross" warning stops them or at night when the shops and bars are closed. In the short course of the time frames we presented for evidence, there would have been dozens of folks walking that sidewalk and even more vehicles traveling the street next to it at a faster clip. Only that one image was captured during the clip time presented and to say that it was a unique capture due to a particular car and persons that you yourself cannot identify is at the very least "a reach". In fact during the entire two-day hunt morning/afternoon/ evening; curtains closed or wide open; we captured no other images that could have been considered as reflections or other pollution from somewhere outside. We hold that the capture is valid.

      @StanJanParanormal Рік тому

      @@7n154 No...we don't get offended by negative comments to our videos; it does, in fact, produce more viewership to the video. However, we find it necessary to stand behind and defend our captures so that viewers can read both sides of an argument and decide accordingly. We have been doing these videos for sixteen years now, and while we have probably seventy or eighty videos posted (I haven't counted lately), we have well over two hundred on file. Some we share only with other investigators who are cross-referencing, but mostly it was because, in the beginning, we didn't really catch anything that would have convinced us of a paranormal environment. We only posted videos where we thought we had made a capture just like the television shows do. Down the line, we began to realize that this is a false narrative as it makes it appear that everywhere we went we had a haunting (of sorts). Truthfully most alleged haunted sites produce no activity and that is something that the public needs to be aware of also. In the beginning, we did use some self-professed psychics and mediums who gave us insights on deaths on the properties and then when we researched the properties found their information was at best inaccurate and at most a fabrication. Of course, that doesn't mean to imply that all are phonies, but the few times we used them and got stuck made us realize that a skeptical public wants facts that can be verified and the equipment does that to the best of our ability. Yes we have videos on two of the places you mentioned and have done hunts at all three. The San Carlos (no posting) was one our first haunts and we had some exceptional and goofy occurrences. The goofiest was when we stood in the lobby of third floor and smelled flower scent. My wife claimed it was the flower displays in the lobby, but I showed her that they are artificial. Then my wife's cell phone rang and as we were newly married I asked her who was calling her and she looked and said that I was. My cell was on my belt loop and locked, but I looked at the screen and my cell had called her cell without me touching it. While we were questioning how that happened my wife said "hey, notice that the flower scent is gone?" It did an end run right past us. Anyway, happy hunting, wherever you find yourself.

      You're welcome. I have yet to check, but it could be that UA-cam branded them like they did this one. I had it previously set to 18+ for viewing, but they sent me a notification that someone had complained and they reset it with the brand you must click to verify age to access. Once they do that I believe that a generic search will not reveal the video. You must be a subscriber to access that video or type it in perfectly. I seem to recall that there were other videos from other UA-camrs on this subject, but none had as much detail as ours did. Laughingly, I am sure that UA-cam brands a video to try to steer viewers away from watching it, but. in contrast, whereas this video is years old and usually got about 20-30 views a month, as soon as it was branded it received 567 views in eight hours with an uptick in total site views of +999% in viewing retention. Just between you and I, I don't think that their plan worked as intended. Because we are paranormal investigators, and it is obvious that if there is a ghost somebody had to die, a bunch of our videos are now set to 18+ for viewing.

Of course, they aren't going to discuss the history with you unless you press them for it, but the Holiday Inn chain has a record of buying up "stigmatized" properties (for lack of a better word). The Holiday Inn Express in San Antonio was originally the county jail (way back when) and one of the floors used to have a space where you could look down into the floor below with a railing around the opening. That was where they hanged condemned prisoners at the turn of the last century. The Inn still sports the bars on the outside of the room windows. What I heard from other investigators was that Holiday Inn applied for a historical property waiver and to get it the building could not be modified externally, but I don't know if that is really true or not. The bars on the windows are definitely the real deal...if you want to stay in a place that has bars on the windows and used to hang guys on the floor you are staying on, keep it in mind.

The whole night, I felt this dark heavy feeling and after tossing and turning until 4 am, I gave up and went to another room. I fell asleep in less than 5 minutes. Most likely from a potential buyer who was refused by the owner. I knew a young apprentice who had done some work there in 2002. He said there were unnatural noises and a presence that was uncomfortable. Another haunted place was the American Legion on Grant Ave. Anyone who’s worked there and closed can attest to seeing ghost. Also, there sits a graveyard for Chinese Railroad workers that was sold in the 1950’s. Headstones were relocated somewhere along Devil Dog Rd but the bodies are still in the ground. Now sits the Family Dollar and Motel 6 on top of it.

      Well, that's information I had yet to run across before. But, in checking my sources, the only fire I could find a record of that could have taken the adjoining building out was the "Great Fire of July 1901, which was only about four years after the buildings were first constructed. As far as the old graveyards, obviously you know more about the area than I do. Is this a place in which you once lived?

    If you want really haunted hotels: Gold Hill hotel miners cabin...not Rosie's room or the neighboring one you won't get much. Silver Queen, Mackay Mansion, Georgetown Hotel in Georgetown, CA, Imperial hotel Amador City, CA rm 1,5?,9, Ryde Hotel But keep it in the downlow as they aren't ghost friendly anymore but that may be the most haunted hotel I've investigated and it's most all rooms and the bar and lobby...the speakeasy not as much except the womens bathroom rm 212, 201. Bradford Inn--Elaines?room by the kitchen, Jamestown hotel rm 3 and 7? ,palm hotel angel face room--both in Jamestown, CA, bradford is in Sonora, CA, Irwin St. Inn Hanford,CA, hotel Leger near Jackson, CA rooms 3,2,6

      Thanks for the info and I will research some of it. Have been at Gold Hill and Mackay Mansion, but not on a hunt scenario. I will look at some of CA hunts you have been to. At present we are off to the Weatherford in Flagstaff. Funny, your post was a week old but I just got notified of it by UA-cam.

    Possible EVPs 23:03 & 23:17 it's breathy but kind of sounds like a guy saying Erin or maybe "arret" /arreh/ stop in French minus the written accent I can't do above the e.

    It sounds like there might be an EVP around 14:20 when your wife talks about the stairs there's like a distant echoey voice? Unless it's someone else in the hotel. Good job with the history research. I'm staying at the Mizpah with a friend this Sept. 27 but am debating whether to stay (alone) Sept 26--- here, the hostel/Brewery, Clown Motel or maybe Bodie Hotel in Bridgeport which is half way for me from CA.

    • @StanJanParanormal
      @StanJanParanormal 2 роки тому

      I went back and listened to all of the earmarks you highlighted and it is possible that they could have been EVPs. The echo-type yelling at 14:20 is probably the most likely culprit as many EVPs come through as a distant or muddled yell, but from your channel, I believe you are already aware of that. I don't recall anyone yelling at any time during our stay so it is a strong possibility. On this stay, the hotel had just opened a couple of months before and was still being worked on. There was no restaurant but they were putting one in. Consequently, there were some other tenants but very few. However one of them was in the room next to ours so the captures in the room could have been them talking through the walls as they checked out. Mostly when we capture EVPs they pretty much say the same thing no matter what local we are in: "Get out". It is almost like they have a script to read from. The audio captures I like are not the voice ones, but the sounds of some other occurrence like the capture at the Nelson mine tour or our last visit to the Vendome which captured sounds of the enunciator system paging even though it has been disconnected for years from the rooms. As far as whether they are "ghost friendly" to investigators at the Belvada I would have to say yes because the Klines (owners of that and the Mizpah) engage in the running every year for most haunted hotel and have won it the last couple of years or so in a row. We didn't ask though as since it was newly opened I don't think any employees had been there long enough to actually have heard any rumors from the guests about it. Honestly, the only two places that have ever warned us off from hunting were the Boulder Dam Hotel,, which strictly forbid it when we mentioned rumors of ghosts to the front desk, and our most recent apparition capture at the St. Michael, which also told us years ago that they did not permit it. We did both anyway, we just didn't let them know. Our equipment is all self-contained so we can wheel it right past them and once we pay for the room we have a right to do what we want in the room short of vandalism or violating no smoking rules...something of that nature. It is icing on the cake if you are in a place where the employees feel comfortable telling their ghost encounter stories. It's a plus and if they come across something that is really valuable sometimes I even tip them a little for it. If you are deciding where to stay the Mizpah is older and cheaper on the budget than the Belvada. Just be aware that the haunted room used to be 305 but when the Klines bought it they moved it to a suite, probably because it commanded a higher price. I can't recall the number of the suite, but if you ask them about the "Lady in Red" room and they say anything other than 305 you will know. We did stay at the Clown one time when Perchetti owned it, it was a dump. It has been bought out and maybe changes were made. When we stayed there the downstairs units were what you could call "long-term rentals" complete with street characters hanging around the stairwells while their dogs peed on the walls. It reeked. I did set up a REM pod and got a couple of light hits but was mostly was just glad to check out. The stench hung in my nose for several days and I told all my friends that everything tasted like Clown Motel. Just check it out first to see if it has changed. I have never been to Bodie. Thanks for watching. You subscribed to my channel..I will return the favor.

      Somebody wrote a little book on the hauntings in Boulder City, and it got passed to me for review. It took about two hours to read the whole thing. I was asked for a critique, and I said the writer is a genius...he researched old stories that were already around, spent about three months writing a book, and gets $17 (or so) from the tourists who want to read the story. I wish I had thought it up. In his little book, he says the hotel opened a "speakeasy" downstairs. I would like to go check it out, maybe smuggle a K2 in. If you still live in the area or know someone who works there, perhaps you could confirm it before I drive there.

    Right around 19:30 there looks to be a shadow figure in the frame on the left side of the room near the bed only or an instant - it is shortly after the flickering orb that is seen moving towards the floor in the center of the frame.

      I looked for it, but all I see is infrared shading. If there is a capture there it must be moving far too fast for me to see. If you want to see an apparition view our video on the Hotel St. Michael that we just posted. I do like your channel moniker...very creative.
