I personally love this album.. not a skip in it! It seems like you guys didn’t love it as I do but having been a fan of Blackpink since their debut I’m so glad she poured her heart and soul in this album and took the driver’s seat in her music. So proud of Rosie!❤. Not all song needs to be upbeat. She is opening up her personal experience with her fans and being vulnerable at this time in her life. I’m more than ok with it all.

"Bread and Lottery" Most wanted the chance at winning the lottery and not the bread. With the bread, going by biblical concept of eat all today and starve tomorrow. Well, break that bread in half and leave that for tomorrow. However, choosing lottery, you have overwhelming chances against you of not winning. You are left with a piece of paper. Can't eat that LOL!

I respect your opinion and your ratings. You made some good points. That being said, going into an album by any artist, but especially a debut album by a new artist, with already preconceived ideas on what it should sonically be like, already making comparisons based on your knowledge of the producers' work is weird, and frankly unfair. It didn't even feel like you experienced the album as it was intended, and focused more on what it should be or could have been rather than what it is. It felt like critique for the sake of critiquing and nothing more.

Maybe listen to the album when u guys are not so tired. U were literally yawning at start of video.

Thanks. Interesting take. I do not necessarily agree that the album is ‘overproduced’ in a sense that most of the instrumentation and even her vocal delivery is close to raw - not a lot of autotune there, and a lot of songs where it’s mostly just piano or guitar. I get what you’re saying with it not being so cohesive sonically as she experiments with different sounds- but lyrically it’s very cohesive. The album is one story, that starts with her introspection on the need to be validated/loved/appreciated, and then it goes through all the journey of dating, meeting, being confused, hurt, breaking up - and ends in a semi-hopeful way with Dance All Night. And yes, it sounds very different from Blackpink sonically, but also lyrically - BlackPink songs have always been about flexing sexiness, strength, wealth, feminism and ‘rosie’ is the opposite as it tackles vulnerability, confusion, desperation. And I think even that was intentional on her part too - like what one of you said - she really took it away from what we know of Blackpink.

APT fits into the album. Those four consecutive songs of Toxic Till The End, Drinks or Coffee, APT and Gameboy all flow together. Drinks or Coffee going into APT is a good one too. As APT is a drinking game, so they went for drinks instead of coffee. And then after a playful song like APT, we see that the guy is a Gameboy, which makes sense. So yeah, i don't agree that APT doesn't fit into the album

Just a mild (perhaps a bit more than mild) critique of the critique. I think there is a bit of over excessive focus on the names of the producers and name dropping in order to try to box in what the song may be stylistically. Lots of preconceived notions going on. With the producer focus, you then name drop the comparative artist and then create a series of assessments and expectations prior to actually even listening to the music. It is a bit bizarre in my humble opinion. Also - as someone who has spent my entire life (many decades) on the coasts (LA and NYC), the critique reminds me of a certain type of arrogance you see in critical artistic circles in our regions where folks seem to seek validation through clinging to name recognition and name dropping (as if it represents some kind of higher ordered thinking or representation of ones “perceived” expertise). Overall, I found many of the criticisms to be very basic or cliche or formulaic or pedantic in nature. But mostly I found the review to be a bit irritating because I found you all to be so disconnected from the music and the artistry. There seemed to be almost an aloof arrogance in the way you approached all the songs. My unsolicited piece of advice. Listen and try to feel the music. Don’t spend a single second with all the gratuitous nonsense (who produced what?) and instead try to connect with the art itself. If you are an industry insider or want to flex your knowledge of the various producers involved as some kind of nod to the validity of your opinion, I would just listen to the music first and give your honest assessment and then wait until the very end (after your review) to see who produced each song. I would probably check out your reaction videos again. You made some good points at times. That said, nothing very unique or descriptive in nature that wasn’t something generic that could be applied to most reactions. It wasn’t great but it wasn’t terrible. If you switched it up to remove that aspect of your style (per my advice), I might be inclined check out your channel again. Thanks. 🙏🏼

As a transformation work of an idol, Rosie is already very good. She participated in all the work of the album production, composing and writing lyrics. I look forward to her future growth and hope that everyone will not be too harsh on her at first. My favorite is Stay a Little Longer /Drinks or Coffer/Dance All Night/Toxic to the end/vampirehollie ❤❤❤

Recently discovered Rose and have to say that I am dumbstruck. I can’t really explain it, but I find her vocals to be ethereal and stunning. Her vocals are able to touch my heart and soul in a way that I have not experienced with other female vocalists. I often find myself in chills and goosebumps when listening to both her album and or her songs she has done. While it may be a bit of hyperbole, she might just have the most beautiful voice I have ever had bless these ears. I can’t believe that I have never heard of her before. As for the album, she experiments with a number of different styles with a pop framework including rock, synth, r&b, folk, ballad. I thought her songs were extremely well written and her lyrics were brilliant - absolute poetry in some of the songs. There wasn’t a single song I disliked, and I think the vast majority of the songs were 8s or above. What a magnificent solo debut album. The more I listen to it, the more subtle aspects of her uniqueness brilliance become noticeable. The vowel inflections and transitions, the adjustments in pace and tone, the lower register transition to mid register. Dare I say this could be a masterpiece? One of the best albums I have heard in years. Honestly in awe and feel so lucky to have discovered such an angelic voice and a creative powerhouse. 🔥🔥🔥👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Fun reaction! I think she was so smart to make this almost like a parody of a Christmas special. It was cheesy but it knew it was cheesy, that was the point. Loved the song with Chappell and loved the intro song she sang as she walked backstage. I thought those lyrics were really clever and the funniest part of the special.

2 of the wolves Odin (Summer - Bran) and Thor (Grey Wind - Rob) were part of a GoT tour in Belfast Ireland (@got_direwolves). Odin passed away from cancer in March 2020 during the pandemc and Thor passed n March 2024. 🐺🐺💔💔
