We all waited for the days that the Famous Rambler would go and run to the NEPA Area, well with the Help of the new Reading & Northern Nesquehoning Station, and the great workers of the reading and northern, it was made possible. on June 22nd 2024, 2102 pulled the first train to the Pittston/Tunkhannock Area. and then again on August 17th 2024, with the usual Reading to Jim Thorpe excursion on May 25th.
with all of these amazing trips in the same year, this is a video about the T-1s' great loud and thunderous journey from Reading to Pittston and Return. 2102 was pushed to its absolute limit with the Grades of the old CNJ and LV mainlines, but still the T-1 Pounded through it, never stopping and never running slow. it was an amazing experience to see 2102 in places I thought I'd never see it, and so close to Home.
Hopefully, the 02 will return to the area next year with even more great trips.
