Will this suffice for the next couple of years without having to rely on remote servers or a dedicated GPU is a must? I will appreciate any input anyone can have.

Hi, i'm currently a student in Germany and i am going to graduate in 3 years. I really love aerodynamics and am a rocket/plane and Car enthusiast. I am able to use 2 CAD Programs, Siemens Solid Edge and Fusion360. I also know how to use Autodesk CFD Ultimate. Do you think these things would be enough for an Aerospace Engineering Degree or should I try to learn more? I am quite good at physics and am really mitivated. I am good at maths but I don't have A s in Math, only B s. Do you think I could still study Aerodpace Engineering ?

I’m watching from Scotland and it’s quite a bit different up here. We do 7* exams in S4 (15-16) the best of which you can do is National 5 level. I did -N5 Music (A1) -N5 Physics (A1) -N5 Maths (A1) -N5 English&Scots (A1) -N5 History (A1) -N5 Chemistry (A1) -N5 Computer Science (A1 (Got 100%) *-N5 Applied Maths * While you only can do 7 subjects at N5 level there are actually 2 different maths courses which my teacher let me enter so I had 8 exams The number is purely cosmetic and people don’t usually mention their number unless they choose to study or work in England where the numbers subtracted by 10 are the same as the English GSCE and A Level grades At Higher (16-17) I did - Higher Maths (A1) -Higher Physics (A1) -Higher Chemistry (A1) -Higher Computer Science (A1) -Higher English (A2) Advanced Higher (17-18) is equivalent to a first year at uni overview level and it’s a good transition I haven’t done these exams yet so I will be providing my projected grade AdvHigher Maths (A2) AdvHigher Physics (A1) AdvHigher Chemistry (A1) Higher History (A1) Hoping to apply for aerospace engineering as spaceflight in particular has been my biggest interest since I was young It’s interesting as Scottish maths and physics courses don’t teach problem solving and weirdly this is lumped on with chemistry and computer science but I kind of like it this way as it has helped use easier disciplines to help hone my problem solving skills

Hopefully u can answer this i failed A level physics. Admittedly i didnt try to revise at all like an idiot. And gcse i was doing foundation but i still got a 5 which was the max grade i could get. Which i did actually revise for. Aerospace is definitely my main interest. But my academic ability is not very good honestly.

Hi , What I intend to do is space research or building machines , rockets , mechanical systems used by the space industry like satellites, rovers etc. It's also my dream to join companies like JPL , Lockheed Martin etc. So does aerospace completely focus on aircrafts or is that something else called "aeronautical engineering " ? What should I pursue in engineering if I want a job in the space industry ?

I say this not to be rude but to hopefully share some insight, you will encounter this issue at every company. A lot of companies take the "cookie cutter" approach to develop a solution whether it be software related or hardware related, solely based on what has worked in the past. There are very few companies that want to develop applications in house from scratch. I've been a QA tester for about 7 years working for 3 different companies, in 3 distinct industries (Airline, Finance, and Medical). All of the companies I have worked for want the fast and easy solution. They look at whatever product it is that is currently being used and they try to develop a strategy to apply band-aids so to speak to whatever the problem is. Thats not to say working on a brand new, and innovative software is dismissed wholesale, but most companies are looking for ways to cut budgets and just enhance what already exists. I can relate to the boredom piece, I just hope that a few years down the line you don't think back and say you made a mistake.
