Willy’s Stuck In Deep Mud Allegheny National Forest - May Patreon Ride
This Patreon trip in May was to Allegheny National Forest. We met up with Tim from Darkside Offroad (also a DRT Patreon Supporter) and i took the Willy’s! First time out on the trail with the old man, and he did great! I did get pretty stuck and had to be pulled out!

Easter Jeep Safari is soft of the season kickoff, and for me the past 2 years it's been a highlight of my year! Sadly, I will not be able to attend in 2024, but I'm able to re-live and share the incredible trail days through a few episodes here on the channel! In this episode I'm helping TreadLightly! preserve some dinosaur tracks just outside Moab, and joining the Skyjacker family on a trail r...
Can You Install This New TORQ Locker for Jeep Gladiator Yourself?
Переглядів 3,7 тис.8 місяців тому
The newest TORQ Locker for Jeep Gladiator (non-Rubicon) Dana M210 front Axle is now available! I had the opportunity to perform one of the first installs on my friend Nate's JT. His son Jeremiah was eager to help and learn. There is ONE step in this process that differentiates it from all other TORQ locker installs. You can find that at 03:11 in the video. If you're watching it just for that, I...

Dope build! I we just bought our xj and are looking into getting some overlanding done soon
Congrats!
New Follower, love your channel.. thanks for sharing and love the 51 Willy.
Ok but how is the plate attached?
#14 self tapping screws
I suggest adding two more of those heaters on both sides of the cylinders ultimately creating a sandwich!
Nice Jeep... sounds great...
Thanks!
Where are the falls on Canyon Rim Road? Can someone give me coordinates?
This should get you close (39.1074974, -79.5705233) there is a camp site and a poorly marked but fairly obvious (if you’re looking for it) hiking trail right near that.
I need help finding a fuel pump that will fit my b e w Jeep JK or a regulator that'll work
You can just use the factory in tank pump and tee it into the return right by the fuel filter so it doesn’t build pressure, just flow. I’ll be using this method on my next swap whenever that happens
@DirtRoadTherapy will that work with diesel.. and do JKs have return lines idk ..
always done this and every old head is instantly impressed
Haha nice I returned a piece of rental equipment last week with straps done like this and the guys were like “how do you even do that? Never seen ratchet straps wrapped like that!”
Hey! Love the video! Do you think a stock 2003 Tacoma with ok tires (and 4wd) would be able to handle these trails?
Thanks! You’ll be fine! Especially right now with how dry it has been nothing will be muddy.
@ hell yeah😎
Very Cool, guessing Not many left ! I wish there was an Operational "Weasel" here in Zambales, Luzon Ph * Make Farm tasks a bit more Fun. Thank you for showing, much appreciated !
Man I don't trust sanding down the pan. Now all the area around it will rust. I'd rather glue directly to the paint. No aftermarket paint can seal as well as factory paint.
Fk yeah!
Make it so they lock in 180 degrees from where they are now. That way its impossible to pull them apart when th tailgate is closed.
Mt.Mitchell is taller than Mt Washington
can be use on a TJ WRANGLER 2000
Yes
Thank you for sharing, very informative
You’re welcome!
6:49, Your fuel filter is upside down, The smaller tube is the return line, it needs to be on top so the fuel can feed the carb instead of running back to the tank. May be one of the reasons it was parked.
Good eye, I’ll remember that! Truck is long gone from my care though
You should check out field and forest in southern New Hampshire
I would love to, however I don’t really think my rig is suited for it! Those trails look gnarly
I will never forget my trip 😂😂😂 I almost made it to the top but panicked not realizing we were about 600 ft from the top. When they say if your afraid of heights this isn't for you they ain't lying 😂😂😂 still was beautiful
How much does that setup cost?
I had about $1400 in this. Check Behemoth’s website for current pricing though
@@DirtRoadTherapy Thanks!
I'd splurge for selectable as it gets rid of the weak carrier along with the obvious benefits.
The carrier is really not a weak point though
Stickpile Tunnel is famed to be named for a man who died near there and found on a stick pile. We will never know. It is one of the many tunnels in Green Ridge State Forest that were built for the Western Maryland Railroad, used from around late 1800's to the 1970's. I owned a cabin across from Point Lookout in WV for a long time & in the 70's & 80's, before the gates, we would drive through these tunnels! Stickpile tunnel was at a "stop" on the Western Maryland Railroad as it was the site of a small town that supported the apple harvesting industry.
nice video! never heard of this place so its ok to overland there? how does one find out about a permit for this place?
You have to check in at the HQ to pay for camping and find out what sites are available
Great video!!! Lucky to find them
Thank you
Mpg?
I’ve had a number of different configurations. 28-30 on 30” tires, 26-28 on 33’s, 23-26 on 35’s. I’ve just moved to 37’s so don’t know yet
While I would like the canvas cover I am so very jealous of the weasel it would be a crazy fun machine.
I may have missed it, but any chance you have this route on onX or Gaia? Would love to follow this route in the next couple of weeks in the fall! Looks amazing and great video!
That is why it is call a non-maintained road in the winter. Great video.
Thank you
Vehicle camping is only allowed at state sites with a permit. Otherwise , it is illegal to be close to your vehicle. As of 2024 the sites are no longer free. Biden is locking the outdoors up.
These are reservable sites on ReserveAmerica. You’ve got to check each state forest’s rules in PA but almost all (except Elk I believe) are car camping at reserved sites only.
@@DirtRoadTherapy That is what I said.
Great video. Love you coverage of these trips. Are you able to share the location of this route...start to finish? Looks exactly like what I'm looking to do next week with 2 buddies. Thanks!
Wheeling a diesel XJ in my neck of the woods? I'm in.
💛💛💛I’ll be back!
From the looks of the road you were on it doesn’t look like it was open to the public. Not traveled very much. We are trespassing? I live 8 miles from the Hillsgrove cover bridge that you have in this video.
I am absolutely not ok with trespassing. I care way too much about public land access and sustainability of this sport/hobby to be making videos for a large audience showcasing that type of disregard.
Y'all need to think about what it's like to pull that tailgate down when those are fully loaded
I owned an 1985 Wagoneer (and loved it) and when I first saw the new model I was soooo disappointed that Jeep went to a boat-sized bus-like monstrosity. Now, I think it’s a great looking vehicle.
Love Nate’s videos!
Does the locker stay engaged all the time in the rear
It is technically an “unlocker” in that it is locked at rest, and input from the pinion (stepping on the throttle) will cause the cross shaft to press the inner halves of the locker into the side gears and sending full torque to both axle shafts. When the cross shaft is in a neutral position (vehicle coasting) feedback from the wheels such as one needing to spin faster than the other will allow the locker to press against the springs and “ratchet”.
I install 4 of this on semi truck won't do nothing get coolant water heater diesel
For a semi, absolutely. If I had room for one and colder winters I’d do that too
Your videos are improving so much over time and are nice and to the point! My buddies and I were right behind you at AOAA last year for a few miles of trails and your XJ is an awesome all-arounder! If there is any way to upload in higher resolutions/clarity, it would really showcase PA's gorgeous trails. A lot of these videos look "greasy" and not super clear visually; hard to say if it is UA-cam being greedy and wanting "premium" subscriptions or something else. 1440P+ would be awesome as it seems UA-cam is trying very hard to squeeze all they can from the 1080p crowd
I Have done Mt Washington, and Pikes Peak, and Not far from Pikes Peak (and 200 ft higher at 14,265) Mount Evans which is now called Mount Blue Sky. Evans was the scariest with no guard rails and hairpins. All done on my 2004 Harley Electra Glide.

Are you tagging people?
Where is that stream crossing
It’s on Riser Rd you can find it on OnX maps by the road name
Gotta link or description😅😅
amzn.to/3Ax44Ti
I enjoyed this video so much. I love love Green Ridge. Now that I've moved closer, I am busy and don't visit as often. It is a great place to visit, camp, and drive. Especially in a jeep!
That truth I have also 2023 Jeep Wagnoeer I go to delar 4 time but they can fixd please don't buy please find other car
Nice tent. I do like that the hinges are on the outside of the fabric. But, and its a big but. Its heavy. It weighs 40 lbs more than its compatition.
Other than installing and removing, I don’t find it to be a huge drawback. I’ve done black rock crawling trails with this tent on the roof and it doesn’t make it feel significantly more top heavy. I’m curious what tents you’re comparing it to as competition
How long can you leave it plugged in? Over night One day 2 hours Any ideas?
Just for the sake of my electric bill I connect it to a WeMo plug and have it programmed to come on about 4 hours before my departure time
@@DirtRoadTherapy thank you. The kat, I had on my truck in North Dakota, back in 2013 lasted 2 years. I plugged it in over night , it was fine, but now I live in southern Michigan. And I have my grandfather 2007 ford explore from Florida. 50,000 miles north of rust. And I know it will need help this winter. Thank you best wishes
