      Hello George! In this video I am using the Canon M50 with the 15-45 mm lens. That lens is the kit lens that typically comes with the camera body. It works great for recording this type of content and it has image stabilization and face tracking to keep you in focus. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    I'll start by saying that was fun to watch, nice vid. But then the golfer in me had to say that on the third hole you played I cringed at seeing you guys spread out those divots like that (6:30).. that's why the grounds keepers need revenge! Line those divots up! And what kind of cheating were those putts? the lie was a couple inches in the rough, (7:10) and you all putted from the fringe.. Hope your competitors don't watch this 😛

    • @agolferswalk
      @agolferswalk Рік тому

      Thanks Glenn. Good reminder on lining up the divots when we can. As for moving the ball from the rough to fringe or fairway, it is allowed as there is no distinction in the rules between these areas. You have to use the rules to your advantage when you can. They certainly have worked against me enough.

    I couldn't remember that hole at 0:05 then I realized that he must be teeing off from down at the whites and it clicked try it from the blacks and you're looking down at the top of the tree on the right side of the fairway you're literally throwing-away half the fun of playing that course to play it from the forward tees and at $85+ per round as it is now that's really a waste of time and money

      Thanks for checking out the video. Whiskey Creek is a fun and interesting course and well worth the money. I played from a back tee, but not the tips. I believe on this hole we used this tee in order to get a great angle with the camera. However, I always encourage people to play from the tees that offer them the most enjoyment. For some it is taking on the greatest challenge, for others, it is playing a distance that works for them. I am glad you enjoyed the course, I know Kevin and I need to get back there again soon.

    With the new handicap system, do we still need to adjust handicaps during stroke competition for players playing different color tees? For example, if a 10 handicapper playing from blue tees plays against a 10 handicapper playing from the white tees, would you need to adjust the higher handicap (upward) by the difference in the course ratings for the blue and white tees?

    • @agolferswalk
      @agolferswalk 2 роки тому

      You do. What you do is use your handicap index and calculate what the handicap is from each tee. Typically, most courses have a chart to use, but you can also use the USGA GHIN (Handicap) App. When the app opens, there are 3 options on the home page. Post Score, Play with GPS and Handicap Calculator. Click on the calculator, select the course you are playing and then select the tees you are playing. You can select add a golfer to find out the handicap for others in your group based on their index, tees they are playing and their sex. Let me know if you have any other questions. This is basically what I learned with the mevo plus, very good, I think another factor is the slope, especially in mountain courses, people forget about it and it’s very important, on the mevo plus I take up to 2 irons less on big slopes (downhill) and is simply because the ball is going to go further.

    My local indoor facility uses flight scope - an outdoor tool - and it gives the wrong spin numbers and the wrong distances. It's pretty poor. I still do it the same as I've always done it. Hit 20 7 irons off grass outdoors. Discard the short ones I hit poorly and the long ones I flushed. That leaves me a core or 12 - 16 balls. Stand in the exact centre of those balls and measure back to where I hit them. That's my carry, bounce and roll distance. I can then work out my carry from how hard the ground is. It's rough, not exact, but I'm looking for what my average shot is through the air.
