Upcycling Thrifted Clothes!
Переглядів 136 тис.10 місяців тому
I have this bad habit of buying cheap clothes second hand thinking that I can use them for their material, taking them home and washing them, and throwing them in this big pile in the corner of my craft room. Well recently that pile is looking a bit more like a mountain. In this video I am going to actually do something with them! #upcycling #thrift #thriftflip #sewing

Using Fabric Scraps to Make a Hanging Plant Holder

Using Fabric Scraps to Make a Hanging Plant Holder
66 years old here. We wore our jeans till they got holes, then patched them with embroidery or print fabric. I loved it when they got to that stage🥰, but never would have left the holes open.
Thank you!💕💐👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Oh! Gorgeous like a sunset, great job❤
I love your new video when you going to have a new video of your new home tour 😀❤ Hannah 🙂 x
i hope you like your new home
So imaginative! The skirt is so cute, and the red sweater is gorgeous.
Love your videos...looking forward to the next one 😊
I love it all! Good improvement on the pillow lol. The darker background color was perfect. And I’m sorry to hear all the ways life has been coming for you, and good for you on having any energy left for adventures.
Great job! Two suggestions for you. Invest in a quilt ruler. I was worried you would cut yourself with your rotary blade! They are sharp and can slice through a tendon, which is painful and an expensive injury. To make your couch seat firmer, get some plywood to put under the cushions. Lowe’s or Home Depot will cut it for you if you can’t cut it at home. I think the bag you got are squares someone intended for a quilt. Keep on crafting!
You're right, the pants are a great fit. If the color is too green, you might consider taking them to gray with a little pink (or slight bit of red) dye. Since green and red are complementary colors, they should turn out to gray. Worth a shot?
I'm calling it a couch quilt. Great way to solve your problem.
Funny this popped up as i was thinking of making similar but fill with cotton batting. You can buy it a few inches thick so its more like a small futon. I like your colors choice. Congrats on the house.
Honestly, I was just randomly going through my subscriptions approximately about twenty minutes ago and when I saw your channel my instant reaction was I haven't seen one of your videos in so long! I was delightfully surprised to see a video was just posted yesterday :) Its like that thing that's sort of like irony, but its good instead of bad. Serendipity I believe? I hope that is the word I am looking for, lol. Also, congrats on the new house. I can't wait to see the tour video next week!
i love ur vibes so much! your channel is so helpful to me and i just think you are so cool.
Congratulations for your new home. I am sure you will make it beautiful and cozy. Enjoyed watching you make the sofa cushions. Especially the round one. I had a good laugh when you stared at the first one with that look on your face!😂
Oooh! Love how everything turned out! You made the ottoman look so easy. 😁
Honestly it wasn’t too bad, the worst part was seeing on the entire bottom section by hand!
Those were some great creations! Good luck on settling in you new house!
You back I miss your videos I haven't watched UA-cam for four weeks I been very busy at work and watching TV and dvd 📀 I stayed off the laptop and tablet it makes me feel tired and giving me a headache I a lot better now Amanda Perkins from the UK England ❤😊
Does your husband get fed up your lots of off your clothes I have done very well I got rid of a lot of clothes 😊❤
When are going to have a new video of your new house tour I love to see it 😊
Thank you, Hannah. I appreciate you and your crafting, sewing, and upbeat attitude. May the rest of autumn and winter be peaceful and beautiful.
Congratulations on your new home!!! Love all of your variety of content.😊
🎉 good to see you
The sofa refresh cover looks like a mattress topper for sofas. That's how I would describe it. X
Love these!!! I’ve been wanting to make a pillow for my bed and I think you just inspired me to make one😄also the ottoman looks great too, and I’ll be looking out for your new house tour❤️
Honestly it’s so comfortable that I have considered making one for my bed too lol
@ shoot you could probably also make some great seat cushions!
You're back! I totally get needing to take some time, especially when there is a death in the family. I hope your move went well and I look forward to your next video 💛
Thr projects look great! I can't wait for the house tour!! ❤️😊
I love these projects. The woman is beautiful!
Hannah, I love your casual way of chatting and putting together. Enjoy your new home.
Well done! Love the garden party aesthetic - so pretty. Looking forward to the house tour! Congratulations!
I love these projects. The ottoman is beautiful! Looking forward to seeing the new home. Congratulations!
Now that's a shacket; turned out great! Also love the embroidery on the red sweater. You're such an inspiration!
FYI - I read several years ago, that newspaper is a moth deterrent. Specifically, it is the ink that repels them. I now store all my woolens with a folded piece of newspaper between them, and it works. 😊
Why not just fix the zipper and keep the dress?
❤I hope you are okay. I miss watching your videos! Come back!!
I love moth holes - my friend saves me her clothes with moth holes - I just Freeform embroider wherever the holes lead me!
I hope you are well❤ I miss seeing your videos 😢 Come back soon🎉
So charming and creative.
Another very old lady here. You are a breath of fresh air in video land. You have strong sewing skills, a fresh and authentic personality, excellent editing skills, understated flair and a love for a bit of whimsy. You have nailed it. P.S. When the red cashmere sweater has seen its last day, felt it in the washer. The felt can be cut, used for applique accents, etc.
Fun video! It must have taken a ton of time to try on all these clothes! You look fantastic in dresses or skirts with defined waist. I have a lot less clothes. I turned 50 this year and not wearing anything that doesn’t fit exactly the way I want, doesn’t make me feel great anymore. I got rid of a lot of good but not great pieces. The ones I do have, I wear them on repeat regularly. But when I was in my twenties, I was just you, with so much more clothes. This video reminded me of then.
Such a pretty and festive outfit. I actually think the leopard print turtle neck top is more practical than the black lace top you planned to make. Black and orange together always gives Halloween vibe. Also the lace fabric is not warm enough for winter in Ohio.
Back in the day, you weren’t allowed to wear tight clothes when you were pregnant.
i love your ideas, so useful, i've been cutting off sleeve in like forever. I remember when my aunt came to town from PA and we went junking every top she saw she said "that will be great after you cut the sleeves off". I laughed so hard, must be a family thing. Oh and my mom cut them off too.
It is rare to see such a lovely, down to earth young woman these days. I enjoyed the video very much as it is so real, just like when my family go on vacation. We eat, site seeing, shopping and hanging out together...... I am into clothes and really like the white wool sweater as it looked so cozy and flattering on you!
i not so bad with clothes i got a bit but not a lot i take some clothes to the chraty shops in the uk england i do wear them again i found a red jumper back at home that i have not wear for a long time i just wear it again it feel good amanda from the uk
I love it so much that you pitch some items that look fabulous on you, because you have such a strong sense of what your style is and what you enjoy wearing. Great priorities there, and someone is sure to give what you discard a good home.
I try my best to keep only things that I really love wearing!
The yellow dress flip was perfect! Exactly my plan for a Thrift Flip where the top of the dress just doesn’t fit my shoulders.
suggest to convert the top of the yellow dress into a false collar or “dicky” to wear under a pullover/sweater. just a thought
I actually thought about this, just not sure on the construction aspect!
How many clothes have you got I not so bad just came back home I got two. Lovely blouse that I found in my wardrobe Amanda from the UK 😊😮
Hannah... come back!!!
Are you okay? I haven't seen you in awhile. Miss your videos
Hannah... miss you. Where have you been?
