How Growing on YouTube Changed Me as a Creator
How does growing on UA-cam change the way you create?
In this video, I share my journey of what actually matters when growing your channel. I almost lost myself trying to fit the "perfect UA-camr" mold, editing out parts of my personality. But what I realized changed my entire approach to creating content.
I'm sharing how I found my own way forward, even when it meant going against common UA-cam advice. Growing your channel becomes different when you learn to trust your unique voice and create from a place of truth.

    I come acros your video and it really reaseuted with me. I just couldt leave without letting you know. I know how much it means as creator and this video made a postive impact just as you hoped 😊 Im a creator and I really enjoys it im not monetiezd but im sure it will happen someday in the futurre.. I hope it still will be a souce of joy at that time. Something I honestly enjoys and that are still how the chanal is meant to be ( i mean in my creator eyes. My style is not so polished and perfect. Its qutie autentic and honest. I show both the good and bad... I have made videos that im proud of hopefully it made a postive impact on someone out there when I have been honest about eg. Being so tried of schoool and really loing for a break and other things that not some perfct... Sometimes i feel stongly for working on a spefic video and dont have the year ently planed. There are some videos i know I will make some of them are previos experinces that I really enjoyed and some are things Im looking forward to. I know there are some videos that I want to came out on a spical time but It not a bad Thing.. i usly follwo my inspiration and work on whateever video i stongly for its Thing im extied over and im sure they will be great. 😊I usely feel quite insprried to work with videos about postive and sometimes big experinces. I have also leand that it can give some much needed relief from post vacation blues. One of the best advise i ever get about youtube and making money from a full time influerer is to do what you love and would do even if you do not get money , free tickets and more. ! Its just a beuatifull video. This the onely one of your videos i have ever seen but I really like the way you talking about the youtube journy! I just sub bezuz its really hits something and I mean this really postive. I really like your video. There are something about your message and honesty that talked to me so i wanted to sub so i can explore more of your videos. I do have a lot of fun with my chanal. I enjoy making videos and its a good feeling when I see the chanal trive but what I remember far more than pure numbers is when someone says something postive about the channal like they love my videos or have made some one happy by sharing my video with them. I Dont remember how meny views ecah of my videos get without looking in studio but I remember the postive things someone have said ablut my videos and chanal.. I think its refishing with this video. Of corse i want the channal to grow but most of all i want it to conuntune to be a source of joy and forfulment.

    I started my UA-cam channel over a year ago. It’s a gardening channel. I have 752 subscribers, but I don’t focus on growing, I focus on teaching people because that’s why I started my channel. My daughter and sister kept encouraging me to start a channel because they said I had such a passion for gardening and they knew that I could help so many people grow their own food. Every time I make a video, I make it with them in mind. I believe that as long as I keep making videos for the reason I started my channel, it will grow. If I only ever reach 752 people, I’m more than happy that I stated my channel😊.

    Hi Tarra, really enjoying your videos! Can you please tell me what platform you used to create your website? And did you struggle through creating it yourself or did you pay for someone to help you with it? I had my work stolen of my web site by China passed art print company. I was really pissed! I make my life off of by selling my art! what I had to do was find the language speaker/writer/law person, who for a minor amount wrote a letter to this company, and immiadatly my work was taken off their web site. thanks for this video! I design images for the silk printers in China, I can not have this happening.

    I had my artwork stolen. UA-cam actually put a video in my feed of the best needlepoint of the year, not something I would have watched but one of the best sellers was my artwork. It was a desert scene. They reversed it and took out the eagle and that's it. I was really upset but didn't know what to do about it.

    It's about knowing your "why," It's great that you now have a mission statement. If you know and remain true to your why, regardless of what it is, you should be fine. There are so many reasons why people do what they do. Some start channels only to "pay the bills." If that's their only why and they achieve it, good for them. You obviously wanted something more, sonething deeper. Good for you, too. 😊I personally love the editing process. I love production, and I have something to say. I just started, and one of my videos was mistakenly banned worldwide. I'm disputing it now. If it weren't for my "why," it would not matter as much. Stay true yourself, your mission, and your purpose (your why). Follow your passion, and everything else will follow and fall in line. Thanks for sharing your heart!

    Thank you for sharing, I'm sure it will help a lot of people. Not the same thing exactly, but a friend of mine worked her butt off over a period of a couple of years creating a business which was doing well, she and the owners of the building had a falling out due to their arrogance. She decided to find another location and before she had even finished moving all of her stock from the old place the owners of that place had recreated her business! They saw how successful it had become and that it was bringing in business for them as well, so they didn't want to lose that, they had absolutely no qualms about copying and stealing her ideas etc. She is devastated to say the least luckily, she has a loyal following of customers so hopefully her business will thrive in the new location and the old owner's business won't!

    I have a youtube channel where I help others heal from narcissism, and I was denied from monetization as my channel has been cited as promoting hate. But no one has told me from youtube which videos are all about the hate. I busted my hump for this. I have sacrificed so much for this... and I told my viewers about what happened, and the love has been so supportive. This has been so helpful for me as the LOVE showed me the NEED for my video channel. The love from my online family, the encouragement has been invaluable and helped me see that this channel IS about healing and this has been a part of my own healing journey. IT'S AMAZING!!!! It is about making a difference... It IS About self growth, and helping others on their self growth journey too, and no one can put $ over that. THANK YOU JESUS!

    Can you expand on the “automatically being copyrighted”? Bc I lost my son 3 yrs ago and he was a musician and artist. I haven’t copyrighted anything. Some of his music has been stolen. He has a son and my grandson has a right to profit from his dad’s work. Not his uncle who stole the music and lyrics.

    • @tarralu
      @tarralu 2 дні тому

      I'm so sorry for your loss, and I can only imagine how tough this situation must be for you and your grandson. When you create something original, whether it's music, art, or anything else, copyright protection is automatically granted as soon as it’s created. That said, registering the work with the copyright office gives you stronger legal protections. In your case, I suggest consulting with an attorney who specializes in intellectual property. They could help you protect your grandson's rights to his father's work and explore ways to recover what's rightfully his.

    That is awful for you as an artist! They did that to me several times also, but mostly, my innovative ideas (with samples). Ideas are the foundation of profitable outcome when you put it to work by doing the process through one’s imagination and imagination is more powerful than knowledge. One example was Jill Schwartz, who gained attention for her unique handmade jewelry designs and took legal action against a Chinese company for allegedly copying her work and mass-producing similar items without her permission. I read about her case over a decade ago that she won the case against them and have compensated her.

    • @tarralu

      Thank you for sharing this story-it’s so empowering when an artist wins a case like that. A lot of artists go through situations like this and feel lost about what to do. Hearing how she fought back and won is definitely inspiring! It’s a reminder that we have the right to protect our work.

    So I was monetized and I didn't even take it seriously then. I just looked at it as "eh something to add to the multiple streams of income". But I didn't care about the income.Then I got demonetized. Now I want to change my life and my family's as well and live free. Digital content is the only way. So now I'm on the road back to monetization and I've totally revamped my mindset on this journey and my channel. Good luck to you on yours😁
