I’ve been a creative all my life and it wasn’t until my early 50’s in 2014 that I began to do a deep dive into learning through online courses and posting on the socials. Now at 64 I’m still in learning mode and have sold work. It’s been some journey but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I go full time during COVID. I was in my 40++. Now at 50, I'm fresh learner, endeavour to develop better art skills. Keep experimenting with different art supplies and both digital and traditional media. I'm busy with content creation, drawing, ... Hustle to keep up to trends whatever. Nike slogan is the best, JUST DO IT. Treating art as a expression tools, a hobby, a weapon for mental health. Keep doing art. Only artist understand artist. Art is supposed to be fun and satisfying. Art is life. Art is a way of living.
Wow Tarra, Thank you so much for sharing your story. I feel so connected to it, and I can relate so much it’s crazy. I also have felt like God was calling me to begin painting again and to start a channel after an unexpected hiatus from my art that lasted almost 3 years.. I’m also introverted lol, so the thought of making a channel seems so intimidating, but I’m now 24 and have worried that I missed my chance to “make it “, but this video encouraged me SO much 😭. I’m so grateful your channel popped up randomly a few weeks ago, because you have inspired me to try again. I wish you the best on your journey, and may it prosperous. ❤

Wow!! I resonate with you girl. I stopped making art in my mid 20s believing I could not make it. But as you have mentioned, it really needs a mindset shift and to understand the value you bring❤ I will be starting my UA-cam channel soon!!
I’m multi passionate as well so I understand wanting to do everything all at once. Love the waistbeads btw. I noticed you have beads in your studio. Do you still make waistbeads and jewelry?
It’s hard juggling everything all at once but we’re born like this for a reason. Yes, I still make them. I took a break but I make them when I receive custom orders ☺️
I’m trying again at almost 36. It just feels right. You are undoubtedly in the right place. I’m not super religious but I do have faith and this was just the boost I needed. Thank you for your time and work.
I love this, and I really needed to hear this. There's a lot of my creativity and artistic pursuits that I have put to the side, feeling like it might be too late, but hearing and seeing you do what you do so well and beautifully, really inspires me to keep going and tell my truth through my art. You are such an inspiration to me.
