I suggest you play the video on a loop while you are talking so that we can watch the swing over and over to really get a good look. Otherwise great videos/commentary
Love the breakdown. As a smaller guy I tend to go backside a lot but never did this. Tried it a few times and love it. Leaning that scissor step makes me feel like I can hit any pitch backside now.
Ever since I saw the EW video I've been working on perfecting the back swing. I've gotten a bunch of opposite hits but nothing awesome as that hit that curves down the right field line. That's the dream hit I need come playoff time in two weeks. Great videos as always guys!
I've already started working on it and even pulled one off in a league game last week. It's by no means perfect but I think I have a good start on learning it.
I played league ball against him in NJ IN 2021. Over 35 league. I didn't know who he was and I was at 3B. After 5 consecutive 375' line drive HRs I was greatful he didn't hit the ball under 6 ft. His arm fit the nickname too.
We do not envy being at the hot corner and seeing Laser coming to the plate. He is an amazing ball player, kudos to you for continuing to go back out there against him!
Great video and breakdown, thanks. Omly add a couple things I focus on to cut Barrel above hands Shoulders and hips flat & parallel to ground Hit off closed front side & Stay closed as long as possible. Drive right elbow & create leverage
Agreed! When everyone says hitting an underhand pitch is simple, they aren't hitting like these conference pros. It takes a lot technique to do what they do.
Where can you find more video of his swings without trying to figure what teams he plays on and what games he plays in that are posted on UA-cam, and then searching through those videos? Any compilations you know of, even if they are relatively short?
According to the USSSA tournament umps we have talked to, stepping out of the front of the box with your front foot is fully legal. However, we have heard of people getting called out in some leagues. Always check your local rules I guess.
As allot of others said waaay more talking than actually seeing the swings. Needs to be more balanced we will get more from seeing the swing as opposed to more commentary. Still good stuff though just need to show more of what’s being discussed.

Thanks for watching, and for thwart feedback. We will definitely take this into account for future breakdowns. Appreciate your advice!
Agreed way too many pauses
agreed, less pause more loop
Definitely. Good call
@@LeagueNightSoftball 20 minutes…less than 5 swings lol
Laser Dave is an absolute beast at the plate. Congrats on the great season!!
He is an absolute monster at the plate. We can all learn a thing or two from his game
Dave Johnson is my boy man love that guy
We don't know him personally, but we live his swing!
Go ahead and skip to the 7:00 mark if you want to actually see a swing start and the 12:00 mark if you want to see the swing finish :)
Better title: Two Guys Talking About Laser Dave
Love the breakdown. As a smaller guy I tend to go backside a lot but never did this. Tried it a few times and love it. Leaning that scissor step makes me feel like I can hit any pitch backside now.
So glad we could help. However, most of the credit should go to Dave. Thanks for watching!

The technical talk is on point fellas. I miss playing. He definitely has a nasty swing
Thanks for the tips about standing at the front of the batters box. I will try it out, and hope for the best.

Great breakdown guys! I look forward to trying to implement a couple of these lessons into my game.
Thank you! We hope that some of this info can help you elevate your game!
Great video and breakdown, thanks.
Omly add a couple things I focus on to cut
Barrel above hands
Shoulders and hips flat & parallel to ground
Hit off closed front side & Stay closed as long as possible.
Drive right elbow & create leverage
Great hitting technique!
Would love to see a swing break down of Bradley Jones, both his pull and push swings are violent.
Great suggestion!
I never realized how mechanically sound you need to be to do this. But I guess most baseball guys didn’t until they finally try it.

Could you guys do a video about different drills for hitting off a tee?
Great suggestion! Stay tuned. We already have something in the works!
Y’all should do a breakdown of Greg Connell, Jo Jo Bennett, and Josh Riley
Where can you find more video of his swings without trying to figure what teams he plays on and what games he plays in that are posted on UA-cam, and then searching through those videos? Any compilations you know of, even if they are relatively short?
Man. Let the video play three or four times then break down in slow motion.
R u located in Fort Worth tx
Shou out to Laser Dave. He's a Great dude!!
We've never met him but hear he is a great guy.
Great breakdown, but would have been nice to see his nickname at work. All slowmo vids didnt do it justice.
Thanks for the suggestion. We'll try and remedy this next time. Thanks for watching!
In my opinion the best cut swing by far was Scott Nichols out of Arkansas. Scary to pitch against.
Would love to check out some of his swings. Thanks for watching!
He would have been called out in my league for stepping out of the box

That’s what I was thinking. I’m assuming for leagues like that I would stand just a bit further back to be able to get it down.
Wish you would just show the whole swing can’t even watch this video…
You look at guys Mickey mantle and babe ruth and they all went after the ball. This is an old school baseball swing.
boyz git ur mugs outta the shot - geez
Talkie talkie
Show the swing. rewind. then explain it.
Bryce Harper and shoeie always scissor step
Me waiting on them to shut up and show me Lazer Dave's swing ☠️💀☠️💀🏴☠️🩻🏴☠️🩻
Y'all don't let the video run. So we can really see the swing and analyze it. Lol.
We'll make sure to let the video play a bit more next time. Thanks for watching!
Stop talking so much and show the swings in real time!!!
As allot of others said waaay more talking than actually seeing the swings. Needs to be more balanced we will get more from seeing the swing as opposed to more commentary. Still good stuff though just need to show more of what’s being discussed.
Show the full swings. Lol
Will do.
How about showing the video....
I tried
too much talking
