Parts Inspection, Porsche 4 cylinder crank and rods
Just a quick video on a Porsche 912 crank and rods that were sent in. The crank looked scored up but polished up OK. It is still vital to do the oil clearance math. Measuring the crank, the case, and the bearing shells to work out the oil clearance. We show this math in a turbo-build video. It is a 930, but the principle is the same.

This engine comes to life at the end of this video. This build video covers putting on the alternator to re-running the oil lines on the car. 1979 Porsche 911SC Heads Rebuild

This set of heads is for our next engine rebuild. It's a 1979 911SC that came in from some weird leak-down numbers. As it turned out, it had a broken rocker on one cylinder. Upon further investigation, the cylinders were set unevenly, and it trashed one cam box. We are prepping all the parts now, including these heads, for the return of the engine case. There will be lots of cleaning!
