@@ahydro328 its been rough barely any sleep. This was almost a month ago. Right now am on babysitting duties, but I did prerecord some videos to be released 1 per month until the start of the striper season. Just incase if you see the water conditions are not the same.

your drag is way too loose for 10lb test. as you reel you're not gaining any line due to as you reel in the spool just spin at the same time. tighten the drag just a little to gain the line and let fish run to get tired then reel in when it stop. The longer you fight the fish the higher you will lose the fish. I used 10lbs test Stren line and caught a 32 lbs Salmon using Mepps #5 lure land it within 10 mins. Drag is the key and knowing when reeling the spool is not spinning at the same time.
@@1mw4tch1ng after turning it a couple of times the drag was loose. It was hard to tighten the drag feeling that the fish put so much pressure it could snap the line also. When the spool looked like it was gonna run out of line panic mode set in.

Sometimes when there are seals/lions it means there are fish in the area >.> But timing is everything because if they grab one out of the school they are spooked.
Only 1 time it worked for me when i had a seal to each side and ending up limiting out in 15 mins. The folks in the area weren't catching them also that day.

Nice video! Sherman can be tough and especially at that second spot with the seals. At DWC, all you had to do was walk straight down to the pump instead of the right side. I got buddies who are killing stripers from the bank with small paddle tails on 8 lb test 9’ rods bombin it out there with a slow retrieve. GL next time. You’ll get a keeper!
