I am new to iphone and film making and wanted to thank you both for the inspiring message and useful information about filming on the iphone 😊

You can record 60 fps in ProRes if you use a 3rd party app. Hopefully you got the 1tb option. I hate recording to an ssd personally.

One thing I forgot to mention: The new button makes it hard to put the phone on a tripod with a phone mount. I am going to have to buy a mount that avoids all the buttons.

May be a future video on the quality comparison between iPhone and R5C!

The iPhone 16 is great. I would use it in situations where I like to be out and about without a big camera, situations that I also like to share quickly via Shorts or Live. The image quality should be as optimal as possible in every situation for a smartphone that you always have with you. And of course the sound should be right too. The iPhone 16 seems to have all of that. Stabilized without a big case, without a gimbal. How great! The rest, the emotions, can then be brought to life, whether cinematic or not, with a bit of skill and magic. There are so many successful documentaries and music videos that have managed without cinema cameras, but with a bit of cinematic flair from the person recording the video. Your video scenes impressed me. Thanks!

get the videos digitized. The videotape will not last forever. I am finishing digitizing our photos. The totals so far... 26000 images/145GB

I have the same lens and mount but it only does an extreme closeup. How is it that you are able to get more of your background if only the focus can be adjusted (no able to zoom out). Perhaps it is the distance between the camera and subject? I am four feet away and my head takes up the entire screen :)

Can u recommend a pillow? not as seen on TV gimmick something tried and true.

Happy 30, young Angela. I have to admit that all you said is true or at least applicable to anyone. Especially the fact that we live many lives during our journey. No, I don't need your services for free, but I do think you are on a path that is real and therefore manageable for you and for most of us. Hear it from someone who is at least double your age: we live many lives and we have no idea what is coming next, despite the experience we have gathered. That might sound frustrating to some, but in fact it is what makes life more than a planned journey. It's more like a wild ride without a definite destination in a car that can fall apart any time - even if we secure the fuel needed to arrive where we want to be (our healthy lifestyle), we will not be able to know if we will reach our goal - maybe some instant failure of our body makes an end to our lives or possibilities, who knows? ** Scary? Maybe. Exiting? I think so. Will it make me wanna do more in maintaining my health? I don't think so, as I want to be healthy to do all the things I think are worth in my life and as such I have always did things to have a good health. There should be a balance between how far we will go for a healthy body and the mental health. Neither of those should be unbalanced. Somewhere hidden inside me is also the idea that taking care of myself is also in benefit to those who love and like me. Those people or animals (and plants...) are valuable in my life and as such enrich my life. Why should that not be mutual? Thanks for sharing these awesome thoughts with us. ** (In fact I have recently experienced such medical issue that prevented me from photographing or playing the guitar. Our brain soon switches to a mode where we list the possibilities for our future when this will remain impossible. It's scary at the time, but I have to admit it changed my way of thinking again - one more different life in my journey, even when I regained my healthy state completely).

I just bought the 55-200mm lens on Ebay as it made more sense to me, since I already had the short distance covered with the 15-45mm kit lens, I would have buyed the 18-150 if I didn't had the kit lens.
