What show did hank Williams do when hank snow was on?
this is the first time i heard this aand I love it
Hank Williams. This is why he is a legend, he also helped others. I can tell that they're reading off of a script but he still (I think) voluntarily decided to read it and put his name on it.
He's been dead over 70 years and he still the greatest of all time.
Hank Williams jr does a very good version of this
Terrible quality recording
Yes, it is, but it's the best I have. I personally think it's better to have a poor quality recording of Hank Williams singing, than to not have it at all. The original recording is an acetate. They were cheap to make, because they didn't last long if they were played too often. This acetate was obviously played too many times, unfortunately. 🙂
these songsd really good example of real life 😮😮
It's awesome to be able to hear the crowds reaction to Ole Hank
The hallmark of a truly great artist ; their live performances sound as good or usually even better than their studio produced recordings of those same songs . Patsy Cline was another such artist . Hank's "Cold , Cold Heart " that he performed live on TV is so surpassingly good that to listen now to his commercially recorded version is for me , by comparison , a disappointing experience ,.even though the recording itself is inherently full of merit .
That was awesome
Hank, Don, and Jerry, man what a trio!
Wow a bit by June too!
One of the best that left us way too early! Great song, sung as only HE could!❤❤❤Thanks, John!
Awesome!!❤️ Thanks, John!
5 months before he passed into immortality. He had it all!
Hank was king of country music in Canada
Did you ever notice how many of Hank Williams songs that he was going to find him that River???
Yeah, I'm 82 and this is the music I was raised on. Still love it. Hank Snow. Hank Williams. They contested for first place in the early days.
Sound too deep to be Hank
I don't agree. I've listened to Hank's recordings, both him singing and speaking, and that sounds a lot like him, or at least, a lot like the recording that the sample was taken from. The sample was taken from a recording of Hank and Grant Turner promoting Hank's book on how to write songs that are successful: "How to Write Folk and Western Music to Sell." Listen to that recording, and you will see that this video sounds very close to it - not too deep, but just right! 🙂
Any chance you 'd be willing to share what you used for samples?
I used Speechify (speechify.com/) to clone the voice. I took a sample of Hank Williams speaking from a recording him and Grand Turner speaking about his Songwriting Book. I found the recording in the Country Music Hall of Fame Archives. I uploaded that speech sample to Speechify, then I was able to write what I wanted him to say, and that was it. Speechify only allows you to use 1,000 characters in their free option, which is very little, but it was enough for me to do what you heard. There's a paid option, which I think is $27 a month. With that you could do a lot more. I hope this helps! 🙂
Thanks for sharing
Born the day hank died, his spirit lives on in me i hope
I was two and a half when he died, and living almost four thousand miles away in the north of Scotland. I was about six when I first heard a recording of him. I forget what the song was, but I knew he was different, and better than the rest, and I kept listening. I'm 73 now and still listening. 🙂
No one will replace Hank Sr. His voice and talent are immeasurable. I have loved him since Iwas very young. Randy Travis has the same appeal and seemed to love Hank a lot. Many of his early shows featured Hank’s songs. Love me some Hank Sr and Randy Travis ♥️♥️♥️
It's definitely different than the record, braying like a mule. But he's the best.
Gotta love his style
Hank gave more into his performances Live than he did on record!
They broke the mold after Sr. Went to Heaven. Purest country voice in history, missing this sound desperately. Grew up in 50's and my Dad listened to this all day. I'm so grateful today that I still love Hank and the real sound of Country. I cry when I think of his passing so young💔💔💔.
Would have loved to be in the audience that night but unfortunately, I was only 4 years old and lived over 3 thousand miles away in England. It’s a pity there's no film of that performance.
Still listening to Hank Sr. ❤
That’s actually Benjamin.
I've changed the name. Sorry. 🙂
Marty Stuart has a bunch of his outfits and boots , Hanks stepdaughter lucrecia gave them to him .
Really makes you wonder where he came from.
And where he went.
I'm a huge fan of the HANK WILLIAMS SR And HANK WILLIAMS JR And HANK WILLIAMS 3
j'ai 62 ans , lorsque je passerais de vie a trépas , je veut que l'on fasse jouer ( goodbye joe , me gotta go ) merci hank pour ces si belles chansons ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I have the Bear Family CD's of HS and play the music on my iPod....the greatest...and his duets with Anita Carter are superb.

Hankewiliams and Hank snow are to of the greatest country music singers of all time you will never get better county music at its best
One of the greatest songs from a great songwriter of the century.
Never heard of this message from hank thanks for finding this
It's certainly a rare recording that few people know about. It's in keeping with other public awareness recording he made, such as the March of Dimes, a drive against polio; Hank and Audrey recorded a 15-minute piece for that, and Hank did a second March of Dimes recording that most people don't know about. Hank also did a lengthy recording for venereal disease awareness entitled, Stars In Her Eyes; most of that recording was in song. 🙂
Love this bluesy style and yodel
Where is this from?
I hope y'all will reply to this George Morgan had a big hit record called Candy Kisses and he was the father of country singer Lorrie Morgan....I have that record Candy Kisses but it's not by him it's by Dean Martin
george was the first to have a hit with it
Yes the last one is not Hank but Johnny Horton, the folks loved Johnny Horton he dressed in the white suits as well and sang lot of Hank songs...r.i.p.
I'm 82yrs raised on this the best ever
Hank did this one song, Jambalaya, at the Hayride on September 13, 1952. It was one week before the beginning of his new Hayride contract. However, Horace Logan saw Hank back stage that night, and he agreed to come out and do one song.
