can i turn the rgb off?
I have already bought one and am waiting for it to arrive in the mail when I saw this. Nice video! Makes me even more excited for it to arrive.
Downvoted for spreading mis-information. Reviewers are too quick (with quick ass testing) to say "this product is good" or "this product is bad". Intel Arc B580 runs like poo on any cpu you would reasonably pair it with, yet reviewers somehow think everyone has a x3d chip which makes the B580 just "ok". The price is great but when it runs at half the performance on a 9600k or Ryzen 2600 it's a completely pointless product that Intel scammed into getting people to buy. Please don't buy the Arc B580 if you use 9th / 10th / 11th gen Intel or 2k / 3k / 5k Ryzen - IT IS SLOW.
I’d say more information is needed before just calling the Arc card bad. I wouldn’t suggest anyone pair the B580 with a 9600k or R5 2600. ARC cards require PCI 4.0 to get top performance, which those CPUs don’t support.
Show me that price 250$
intel has the used rx 6800 as competition so we have more than one option
Used cards don’t count as not everyone feels comfortable purchasing used. I haven’t seen a “new” RX 6800 in a while. Of course the value of a used GPU is commonly much better than new.
@@DannysTechChannel I just purchased a new XFX Speedster RX6800 (Black Edition) from AMZN back on Black Friday (for $348), but they're all gone now. It's going into my son-in-law's build (I have the RX 6950 XT in mine, which I paid $500 for), and I also picked up an RX 6750 XT (for $300) for a build I'm putting together for my son. These 6000 series cards will do the job, and they're well worth what I paid for 'em (imo), but I still wanna get my hands on a B580! (And then >>hopefully<< a B770 later this year. 😋)
All I care about is top of the line performance so I’m out.
Yes Intel save us from the all the powerful cards. What we really want is cheap crap.
Intel is not a GPU company you should consider for at least the next 5-10 years. And given the latest CPU fiasco that's cause their CEO to get "fired" (retired, hm.), well, no. just don't go the Intel route honestly. Put your hard earn money in either AMD, Nvidia for desktop or ... go the mobile/handheld route.
Spoiler: It sucks if you do not have a modern, expensive CPU. Paired with a sub 12th series i7, 5000 series R7 or 7000 series R5, the overhead makes this card very, very slow. Even a comperatively fast (to budget office PCs for example) CPU like a R7 2600 halves the performance of tbe B580. Hardware Unboxed just made a video about the issue. So the main use case of a card of this type: Upgrading a old and slow system with a decent price new graphics card, is off the table with this one. But if you build a new system its a decent budget option. Maybe the best there is.
This is still a new finding and I think we need more information before just calling it. When I get back from CES, I’m going to be doing some of my own testing to see what variables change performance on the B580. I think there is more to it.
Scalping should be outlawed.
scalpers are buying up all the B580, was on restock notification list. when i got notified and went to get one it was already sold out.
It’s crazy how many people are after this card! It’s definitely worth the wait.
Just wait, the card isn't worth more than it's 250 price tag. It's a good card and hopefully disrupt the 8 gb low balling that NvIDIA has been doing.
Intel just needs to come out with something like a B780.
Let’s go Danny! 🤙🏼
Intel will never make a difference to the GPU market. They lose so much money every sale that is impossible to to sustain.
Good luck getting them for 249. Expect to spend 400 ish from scalpers and resellers. Unless you are a UA-camr.... It's all hype with zero supply.
I bought mine from Newegg. Got a preorder. Time will tell for stock and availability
First, Newegg already removed intel B580 (reference card's) link ( no more listing) and its partners are busy making AMD/Nvidia's cards while listing B580 cards for $400+ 😅 secondly Intel's very own store on Amazon hiked the price to $499. Now tell me all youtube channel warriors, what is intel's plan😂😂
yes 'intel' on amazon. amazon is not a reliable listing choice, either is newegg as they offer third party prices as first party listings. next your going to say walmart also has them over msrp
your missing the point AMD is the bad guy here despite offering way better value for the last decade.
@ my point was that intel didn't have strong agreement with its partners, they are already doing "Price gouging"!!!
There's news that the B580 is getting scalped, so if the price goes up it defeats the purpose, hope they have enough stocks to keep it at the $249 srp
Yeah, it’s definitely a bummer that scalpers are out there, hopefully it’s available for everyone soon.
I saw the B580 on Amazon and Newegg yesterday @ $310-$600. Still have not seen one for $249
You're doing a fantastic job! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
My GTX 1080 tI plays most games still i aint buying another GPU i decided that when the 2080 Ti came out at a silly price and prices have not got better, the thing is my GTX 1080 Ti is fine for many older sale price games and is still fighting strong.
I see no reason for the B570 at all, why would anyone be interested in saving $30 in a $1000+ computer ?
Really depends on availability of the B580 and performance comparison. If it’s as close as the A750 and A770 were to each other, it might not matter.
Turns out the B580 has a massive overhead issue with older CPU'S where performance is basically bricked. Hardware unboxed just started covering the issue.
That’s really interesting to hear, thanks for the heads up! Intel will probably have a fix quickly.
Oooooh. Like how old ? Maybe ryzen 2600 old ? Or ?
@@rnegoro1 Yeah, about that old actually.
I wonder if the performance drop has something to do with PCI 3.0. Might do some testing on this after CES.
I mean, Intel did recommend using this GPU with ryzen 3000 and above, I don't remember what Intel cpu generation they recommend but it was also recent ish
I just built my new rig around the Arc B580 and Ryzen 5 7600. Nice little entry level 1440p system. :)
I’m using the 7600x in my test build. I think those CPUs coupled with the B580 is one of the best builds you can make right now.
@@DannysTechChannelagreed!
whats the aio you used? im using this case and im thinking of buying myself an aio but idk what to get.
It was an EK AIO, but if you’re currently looking and don’t want to spend a bunch, I’d suggest the Montech Hyperflow 240.
@@DannysTechChannel is there any aio with a lcd screen for like 120 dollars? thats the money i can spend.
@@DannysTechChannel if not that ok, but ik there is the nzxt kraken 240
I don’t recommend NZXT. I haven’t had good luck with their AIOs and prices are quite high. I honestly don’t think you’ll find an AIO with LCD screen for that price. It would be better to go for something without a screen that provides excellent cooling performance.
@@DannysTechChannel ok thanks
I am not going to argue Intel is no good it's that you can't buy one anywhere at retail price and i am not paying scalper prices.
Give it time. Everything new has been getting scalped lately. RTX 5000 will be the same way later this month.
Question! Do you need to buy a wifi card or is the wifi card built in?
It’s built in
@@DannysTechChannel thank you!
I'd love to compare the with and without inflation prices of PC builds today to their respective counterparts of decades ago. It feels like PCs cost two thousand 90s dollars far before we have monster GPUs. Maybe this is just a correcting back to where things used to be?
You’re right, it’s insane how much things have changed in the PC industry.
I have the Intel b580 Limited Edition and so far so good good. Zero hiccups, smooth gameplay. Plays better than my xfx 7600 xt, no joke.
Nice, thanks for the update. I love hearing other’s experience with the card.
Interestingly, I was watching a video on the a380. Someone did a new benchmark and compared the result at launch date. Even though the a380 is NOT a gaming card but for those who want to play AV1 (the decode capabilities of the a380 are the best bang for buck). So this guy who had a PC with ReBar (this is an important detail btw) and the a380 could play some easy to run games. The interesting thing was that the a380 was able to play some older games. That was not possible when the a380 launched due to driver issues. In 2025 we are now, a PC with modern CPU can have an Intel a380 running better than the AMD RX 6500XT. When the a380 launched one had to sacrifice one of the two: A the ability for your GPU to decode AV1 (a380), B the ability to play some very old games (RX 6500XT) Edit: I like this style of video Danny! Have an awesome 2025 🎉🎉
Don't forget when considering Battlemage pricing, Intel are selling these cards at a loss. Considering Intel's current financial issues, the future of the Arc series GPU's are seriously in doubt.
They are definitely not selling those at a loss especially after loosing so much market share on the cpu side ...
Yeah, I've also heard the _'Intel is selling their B580 at a loss'_ line from various anonymous online commenters (such as yourself), but I'm not buying it because none of them have offered up any sources or proof to support it. At best, it's merely conjecture as far as I'm concerned.
And who said that Intel sells cards at a loss? Complete absurdity. They do make money on them, but not much, and the statement that the future of the Intel Arc series is in question is at least laughable. The B580 sold out very quickly, there is still demand for them. Intel played it very well - they provided enough VRAM, and priced the card in such a way that it currently has no competition. That's how you gain market share and future customers.
Thanks, Danny! 👍🏼 I really want to get my hands on Intel's B580, but they're already sold out by the time I find the 'back in stock' email from NEgg in my inbox _(twice in the last 2 days)._ Oh, and NEgg has also jacked their price up to $299.99 from the $249.99 (msrp) price they initially displayed on the product page. I'll take a board partner SKU for less than that *if* I can find one, but I'm not holding my breath. (Greedy bastids abound. 🙄)
P/S: I just got the *"Item Back in Stock"* email (from NEgg) for the ASRock Steel Legend B580 but alas, they were _OoS_ again by the time I clicked the link. (I think bots are buying them up before anyone can get to them. 🤔) The *good* news is that the price hasn't gone up on that one (still $269.99). I'm doing my best to grab me one! 😋
I hear you on that. They have been selling like hot cakes. I’d love to grab the steel legend too. Hope you’re able to snag one!
First, I am not willing to purchase an expensive graphics card with a weak link (16 pin connector). Purchasing an expensive computer device is a gamble as it is without adding another failure point. I did get an RTX 4070 with an 8 pin connector and it does fine. I did also purchase the Intel A750 to see for myself how well it did for me. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it does for the price. I am now waiting to see what Battlemage does and I'll probably purchase one this year. I would like Intel to succeed to level the playing field somewhat.
I'm a noob, can you please elaborate on the 16pin vs 8 pin thingy
Good luck getting them for 249. Expect to spend 400 ish from scalpers and resellers. Unless you are a UA-camr.... It's all hype with zero supply.
@@neyxous Yes atm I'm not looking to buy, just waiting to see what happens this year.
NVIDIA and AMD really need to step it up if Intel is going to continue like this!
AMD, maybe. Nvidia doesn't have to do shit, sadly. They're worth trillions, and Covid showed them they can charge whatever they want. I hope this changes, but I know Jensen and co are laughing at us.
@@RoyalMudcrab Very true, NVIDIA doesn't need to do anything in the budget space to keep their business alive. They are going to market share there if they don't do anything, they just won't care...
Being an old flight simmer VR person, with the cost increase across the board, appears I may have to find another interest. Appreciate your video! Tks!

There seems to one area that puzzles me during this and that is how do I know what cooler will perform well with which cpu? I have yet to find a single air cooler review that covers this. Would you be able to help me?
It’s not CPU specific. It’s how much heat the CPU pushes out. To put it simple, the higher performance, the bigger cooler you’ll want. Got in i9 or Ryzen 9? Go with a dual tower/larger cooler. Ryzen 5 or i5, you can get away with something smaller.
@@DannysTechChannel would the DeepCool AK500 zero Dark be enough for the 7800X3D?
sure!

The best for i5 13600k? Thx
I made kind of an updated video for this with real budget options! Check it out ua-cam.com/video/A2slSdnU-aU/v-deo.html Go for either of the dual tower coolers for your application.
Why do you need to switch fan positioning if you have air cooling for your cpu??
Because they are reverse flow fans. It will be pushing air out of the case, instead of pulling cold air in
Is this combo good for world of Warcraft raids?
Id recommend upgrading the GPU in this as there is much better options now. My suggestion: RX 7600 XT
@ my processor is a Ryzen 5 5600 do you think it will be an upgrade? Thank you!!
Yes. The processor can stay the same. I think the RX 6600 should be upgraded to a 7600 XT for this setup if I was to make any recommendations today.
Thank you for the guide, I got this the other day to replace the Ryzen stock cooler and its running 25degrees cooler. Definitely worth the £15
Agree! Thanks for watching 👍🏻
bro here i am thinking you have the like exact same pc setup as me in this example except for various parts such as the tower that are both similar and functionally the same. It's probably got a 3060 too and i should probably just buy the internal adapter you have listed aswell while im at it
My Msi Rtx 3060 ti is like 3x bigger 😂
This video made my mind up to buy the Rog Strix B650 E - F, I switched from intel to AMD and got this mobo with the 9800x3d and 32gb cl30 6000mt Corsair Dominator Titanium Ram, it's a great combo.
and the rear zone??????? vertical gpu???????........
hey, what can i do if my gpu is covering a slot for adapter? is there any other way?
If you don’t have any open pci lanes on your motherboard, might need to go with the USB adapter
