Originally i was planning on buying the ak400 but now that ive seen this review im going with the freezer 36 and the co model is available where i live so im picking that up for sure.
@@DannysTechChannel I don't think it's bad but you can add your face since our brains are biologically hard-wired to process faces, so we're able to detect faces at least twice as fast as many other stimuli. Good to see this actually works with an AM5 MB i brought an air cooler similar for my new AM5 build and it didn't even fit on the board which was devastating after waiting 2 months for the parts to arrive, looks like the Arctic Freezer 36 is the way to go thanks for the review
Im torn between their AIO Liquid Freezer 3 and this Freezer 36. But now seeing that it is able to cool more powerful 7800x3d Im sure it can handle R5 7600x no problem here. Thank you for testing and review.
AIOs are shit. They cool great but after 5 years of operation they lose like 20% cooling capacity because of evaporation. Also the pump can die on you. I don't understand why they're so popular. Air coolers dont have pumps that die and last decades.
Great Review. I was searching for a Cooler to add to my Son's 1st PC that can fit with a RX 7600X CPU. This video helped finalise my choices on a cooler. This Arctic Freezer 36 will fit my budget, and build. The less I pay on other parts, the more investment goes into the GPU😁 Thanks 👍🏾
Got a DeepCool CH360 Digital case, a Ryzen 5700X3D CPU, and a Arctic Freezer 36 on order now after this video and your test you did with the 5800X3D. Going to transplant my PC out of its mini-ITX case into the DeepCool case for more airflow and hopefully a quieter system that won't stutter as much with the new CPU. Asus Strix B450-i mobo, G.Skill Trident DDR4-3200 memory (32GB - 2x16GB), XFX Radeon 6700XT gpu, and might upgrade the 1TB Samsung 970 EVO with a 2TB Solidigm P41 Plus (which is sitting new in the box - grabbed it when it was on sale a few months ago for $65).

This cooler is exceptionally good for Intel CPUs. Its contact frame and heat pipe direct contact design are very effective to transfer the heat from the CPU to the cooler. Lumen S36, on the other hand, does not do that part very well: in Cinebench R23 tests, the air blowing from its radiator is not warm enough, indicating the water cooler isn't able to transfer enough heat from the CPU in the first place.
Is there interference between the front cooler fan and the G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo ram if ram was to be installed in the dimm slot closest to the cooler?
@@DannysTechChannel Will do. Thank you so much. I have an old Ryzen 2700X gaming PC I built in an InWin A1 Plus mini-ITX case back in January 2020. I since upgraded the GPU to the Radeon 6700XT, but that CPU seems to be a bottleneck and the bearing on the old Wraith Prism sounds like it's going (making a chirping sound). Plan is to transplant this into a better breathing and significantly easier case to work in, like the DeepCool CH360 Digital, and while it is out, swap the CPU and the cooler.
Ok, got it all ran up for ya. Almost forgot to do it. Anyway, with the 5800X3D on my AM4 test bench and the Freezer 36, the CPU hit a max temp of 75c on Cinebench R23 (which is super demanding on the CPU). When gaming, the CPU max temp only got to 64c.
At that point it boils down to personal preference. Just for the style. I’d say the cooling capability is most likely the same. And the 5700x isn’t the hottest CPU.
Not necessarily. Like I said in the video, its higher price tag comes into play when talking value. Depends what you want it for and the styling that matches your build better

how are you satisfied with the results?
great video as always, although my friends dislike the thumbnail choice, but, still great video and great cooler
Yeh, it was kinda tough making the thumbnail that would grab attention. Any ideas?

Thank you for putting me on this CPU Cooler, it is perfectly priced and to me the best looking air cooler out there

Thanks for letting us know this is AM5 ready, im still on AM4 but will switch to AM5 at some point.
You bet! Easy to switch and keep your cooler

Bro i need to ask you something can this cpu cooler support my motherboard prime h510m-k its LGA 1200
I had to lossen the screws a full turn on bk fam as it was catching the cooler

Interesting coolers. Sadly, they are overpriced here in Canada as on Amazon they are $75-90cad
Ooof. Sorry. Maybe they’ll come down
Im about to get a ryzen 7 7800x3d and im wondering if the cooler is powerful enough
I have this cooler with my 7600 non x and at 100 util max. 72 degrees
is this cooler sufficient for i5-13600?
The bracket is to big to line up with the screws anythinf I can do?
What socket?
@@DannysTechChannel it’s Omen 25L Am4 but cpu bracket is just too close
HP makes proprietary cooler mounting so you can’t usually upgrade with them. I hate to tell you, but without getting creative, you’re outta luck
@@DannysTechChannel okay thank you
Thoughts on how this would handle an AM4+ Ryzen 5700X3D?
I can run it up on my 5800X3D to give you an idea…
@@DannysTechChannel Awesome. If it can do a 5800X3D, it can definitely do a 5700X3D, which runs at 400 Mhz less.
I’ll try to throw it on a test bench this weekend. Can you do me a favor? If I don’t respond by Monday, respond again to remind me.

Can i plug this rgb fans on that small rgb controler?
You sure could
@@DannysTechChannel one more thing is this cooler good with i5 11400f (i play games like cyberpank red dead redemption 2 ultra)
No problems. Yes, this cooler would work great with that CPU!
Hi this is ok for ryzen 5600x ?
Definitely
Good video. For that price there is also the AG 400Plus, which is better?
Depends what CPU you run with it
@@DannysTechChannel I have the Ryzen 7 5700x which you recommend. Thanks

hello
how can this preform with ryzen 7 7700 non x please ?
It will do fine. I ran mine with a 5800X3D and it handled it well. This would definitely be an upgrade over the included AMD box cooler
@@DannysTechChannel tysm for the reply
Im glad it works
Anytime! Glad to help
will it be enough for 5700x3d?
Yep! Easily
Is it the same fans with the original one?
No
I just bought the thermalright
so ak400 is a better option eventhought it just have one fan?
Not necessarily. Like I said in the video, its higher price tag comes into play when talking value. Depends what you want it for and the styling that matches your build better
Can it handle a 7 7800x3d?
Yes it can, but I wouldn’t cheap out on a cooler. I’d recommend something a little beefier to give yourself extra headroom
Is it Good (enough) for my old CPU i7 2600 k with Overclocked to 4.5 ghz ?
Overclocking is always an unknown. I’d say it probably would be fine
Does that cooler is good for R7 5700x
It sure is
can i use this on intel i5 10400f?
You definitely can! Go for it 👊
what is this compared to the wraith spire cooler?@DannysTechChannel
I tested the Wraith Prism since that’s the only box coolers AMD offers anymore. But this will perform MUCH better than the wraith spire
@@DannysTechChannel that's great thanks
@DannysTechChannel I'm using it on a r5 3600 and my max temps in cinebench were 65
Either the results are wrong or that 360 is trash. Maybe even clogged
Neither. I’ve used this AIO in multiple videos. It’s working just fine
it’s just how amd runs bro
