Beautiful makes as usual. I can picture the bow skirt worn with a red turtle neck or cropped sweater as the holiday season approaches. The sweatshirt details that you chose are excellent with that fabulous fabric. So glad the funnel neck is loose enough that the embroidery doesn't cause any issues. Good job adapting your crochet pattern to suit your preferences. It's so cute styled with the jeans and T. The daisies will make you smile on grim westher days as they remind you of the warm season full of flowers. What a productive month of crafting!
Thank you, I love the idea of the bow skirt paired with a red cropped sweater or turtleneck for the holiday season! I’ll definitely do that thanks! Yes I’m glad the loose funnel neck has turned out ok for the embroidery. Thanks yes I think the Daisy vest will always cheer me up when I wear it indeed 😊
Love your makes Cath, I started teaching myself to sew after watching your videos- very inspiring and you clearly have a talent but you explain things well for those of us who are new to making clothes. I have the Jarrah pattern and some sweatshirt fabric and now I know exactly what I will be trying next. Ignore the negative comments, it says more about them than you! X
Thanks very lovely makes that sweater and skirt look great on you. Vest top looks so good on you...and I like that you don't compromise on the fit. Skirt is just darling and the jarrah is stunning. You must be so happy reaching for these pieces..they are so well made. Enjoy your weekend.
Love the black embroidered fabric. What a cute top. Love the daisies too. You've made some really lovely garments, as usual. Thanks for the full review of everything. Happy sewing.
Wow, beautiful & varied makes Cath. The vest top is very cute & looks lovely on you. I love the Jarrah sweater too, particularly the funnel neck version, which is lovely in a sweater knit or french terry so the collar drapes a little. Look forward to your next video. 😊
Cute makes. I love the daisy vest. You can use knitted ribbing on crochet sweaters for a different look. There aren’t a lot of patterns that specify that, but it’s an option since you have both skills. Thanks for a fun video.
Hi Cath, all your makes are wonderful, really like the sweatshirt and the crocheted top. I'm knitting a tank top on circular needles in a similar colour yarn to the jumper you were wearing in the vlog. Have a great weekend, and catch you next time 🥰
Hi Nicky, thanks so much 😊 I hope your tank top is coming on nicely. It’s definitely perfect weather for knitting here! Hope you have a great weekend too 🥰
Your sweater is stunning and the skirt a good choice for the fabric. I like how you styled it. Same is true for the embroidered shirt. Such a cute vest!
Thanks Cath, having seen your adaptation of the Estuary skirt I am going to try the same hack on the Sew over it Ruby skirt which is a vey similar pattern .I too prefer to wear skirts and jumpers in the winter, makes a change from my usual winter " uniform " of jeans and jumpers !!!😍
Oh fab hope you enjoy hacking the Ruby skirt! Yes I agree, I do often find myself in a jeans and top rut 😄 nice to have some skirts to be able to mix it up 🥰
Such wonderful makes Cath. The skirt made with little bow print fabric is so cute! And a big thank you for sharing the french seams tutorial for in-seam pockets. I love using french seams but had no idea how to with pockets. I'll most certainly use that link. Looking forward to seeing your Davenport dress make....happy sewing 😊
Thank you so much 😊Oh fab I hope you find the tutorial useful, I have referred back to it quite a few times now and find it gives a really nice finish.
Hi Cath, your knitted and crochet garments are so inspiring, they make me want to learn how to make those too! Maybe I’ll have to make some time between sewing projects to learn some new skills. Do you have any favourite patterns or pattern companies that are good for beginner knitting/crocheting projects?
Thank you very much! 😊 For crochet, I found Bella Coco on UA-cam to be a great place to start - she has tutorials for crochet skills and also for simple crochet projects too and it’s all super clear to follow. For knitting I started off with the book Knitty Gritty by Aneeta Patel. I worked my way through the projects in the book and they gradually build up your skills and are also nice and clear to follow. Hope that helps!
I just watched further into your video and you have answered my question. Looks like I need to fund another skirt pattern. I have a Japanese fabric with medium stylised red cats on it. In my mind I have an Estuary Skirt. Something looking for winter
Yes it might possibly be a bit bulky for the elasticated waistband at the back depending on the weight of the fabric. The Brumby skirt by Megan Nielsen might be a good option.

Do you think a linen/ cotton mix is too heavy for the Estuary Skirt?
I just watched further into your video and you have answered my question. Looks like I need to fund another skirt pattern. I have a Japanese fabric with medium stylised red cats on it. In my mind I have an Estuary Skirt. Something looking for winter

I have to stop watching you. Yet another fabric purchase. Put aBow On It. It's all your fault😊
😄 it’s such nice fabric, I hope you love sewing with it too
