he often smothers the ball when going for a shot. that will cause so many variables, but it's something easily fixed. simple drills of just catching the ball clean and going straight up will help his % numbers a lot. Considering the spurs offense that's like a first thing I imagine him getting taught. the spurs started as a bottom 3pt shooting team in the nba but for the most part after the all star break were the best.

I wanted Topic solely based on his ability to be a floor general. I was thinking he could be a Steve Nash type player, and I'm very frustrated OKC ended up with him. I like everything u said except to be a ball dominant PG he has to shoot great. He's with the Spurs. Tony parker, pop will put him in a system that he will be taking elbow jump shots from 3 and shooting mostly mid range free throw area. He's there to play defense get gritty on loose balls and pass and rebound. He will get his points eventually.
