Excellent triple reaction, thanks ... and you even got the big tease at the end of the concert with the third coffin and "mysterious" silhouetted third figure joining Su and Moa.
They have only performed 'The Legend' as the duo of Su and Moa ... it is referencing the end of the Metal Resistance era of BABYMETAL.

When you can hum, hitting those notes so clean and clear, better than some can sing.... you're just flexing at this point...😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤘🦊🤘

They've been using coffins from early on.
In the commentary track for 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!' they talk about how they used the same coffin for a bunch of their first shows.
That coffin is in the 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!' music video, in the middle of the stacks of Marshall amps.
They had it on stage for their first headlining show, held at Rock-May-Kan in Tokyo.
And you're absolutely right about the live versions being superior to the studio tracks.
I've played the hell out of the studio albums, but the versions I listen to these days are from live shows.

And in reality their background singer/dancers are also necessary for the audience interaction. So in fact they have 3 different jobs.

    Great triple reaction, thanks!
Yes, some of the guitar lines are too low on the studio versions but not here. And keep in mind that Wowow production doesn't have the best audio mix (compared to the Blu-ray version).
The final number was the way they hinted on the addition of a new member in late January 2023. That eventually happened in the end of the next show: BABYMETAL Begins. The Other ONE. Black Night performed on April 1st 2023 at PIA Arena MM (apparently the MM in the name of the venue was another hint according to Moa, haha...). It certainly was a VERY elaborated way to hint something... but it was a very important announcement. And, to be honest, we are very happy on how it came out.
    🤘🦊

I'd love to hear what others think, but for me personally, when I listen to a Babymetal album in the car or whatever I DO listen to enjoy the music, obviously, but when I hear a song off the album, in my mind's eye, I'm picturing the girls doing their thing, so in essence I'm reliving the concert in my head so I can get the most enjoyment out of the album. That will be even more true now that I finally got to see my girls live for the first time here in Vancouver. Was truly a special experience. I almost got to go backstage and meet them personally... except my friend who works at that location and would have been able to make it happen had to go to the hospital for an emergency (had to get his stomach pumped due to a really bad case of food poisoning). So hoping the girls come back next year as I heard they are doing another world tour next year again. Also hoping they go to the same venue (for obvious reasons) even though it is a small venue.

I tend to watch a lot of Babymetal reactions because they're so good, and seeing people realize that is ... I don't know, heartwarming I guess. I like how much you seem to understand the talent on display with them, how you can see how the choreo is also such a part of their act. The music absolutely stands alone, but they put the same care and talent into EVERY part. So... have a sub my new friend, have a sub.

There's no other art form that rivals with BABYMETAL. The amount of hard work, dedication, skill, preparation and talent that is on display is unrivalled imho.

Nice triple reaction but just so know, dunno if this was your editor thing or what but you're using a thumbnail of the girls not matching with this BM new era with MomoMetal, anyway keep enjoying more BM songs.🦊🤘🔥

Yes, the stages moved. I was at the show and the way it was set up was that there were stages at either end of the arena, and a catwalk down the middle between them, with the audience on either side. Running along the catwalk were the two round moving platforms which could travel up and down the arena and lift about 20 feet up into the air. The girls spent most of the show on the round moving platform, which allowed them to perform close to all parts of the crowd at different times during the show. They performed a couple of songs (Metal Kingdom, Megitsune) on the stage at the end they entered through, while the Kami band were set up down the other end. The show began with them entering through a set of massive gates with foxes on them, seated on the Fox Thrones you see in the Metal Kingdom music video, and ended with them walking up the steps to the crystal coffins at the opposite end of the hall to close the show, so the performance sort of functioned as a journey from one end of the arena to the other, starting at one end and ending at the other.
I originally only intended to go to Japan for the January show, but after that teaser at the end of the show, I knew I had to go back for the April shows at Babymetal Begins, where Momoko officially became Momometal.

Loved this reaction (sorry your internet sucked, a situation I myself suffer from). Great comments and this assemblage of specific videos which I'd not seen before explain so much. Thanks for presenting this very enjoyable, edifying reaction. And as always thanks to Babymetal for putting so much joy into metal!

Three very beautiful songs, I think hearing Babymetal on audio and seeing them perform, it's like when you cook vegetables and forget to add salt, you know

Nice one! To be honest, when I first listened to Light and Darkness, I wasn't a huge fan of the song, even though Su absolutely crushes it on the vocals, and it is beautiful. With that said, after listening to it a few times, then reading the lyrics, then finally, watching the live with the live audio, I came to really love this song. While the majority of Babymetal's songs are great even without understanding the meaning, I think this song is an exception for me. It actually helped me enjoy it much much more!
Monochrome, one of my all-time favorites since I first listened to the studio version, live just makes it better. Live at the PIA area, Clear Night is best. And yes, Anthony Barone's drumming is just epic and blows the studio out of the water by a mile.
The Legend, I don't dislike, but not my favorite. While a decent track, and it serves its purpose very well in context to the lore and as a concert closer / opener, it is nowhere near as epic as it could have been.
And yes, live audio is always better. I mean, Kami band (east or west), or random studio musicians / studio-produced audio? That's what I thought, Kami band all day lol.
    🤘🦊

Will you be reacting to BABYMETAL Begins Black and Clear Night concerts? All of the performances there are superior to BABYMETAL Returns.

Not sure if you have reacted to it yet. However, Bring Me The Horizon's Kingslayer just came out with an official video. This is of BabyMetal's and Oli performance in Japan & it's f*** epic!! Great triple threat reaction here BTW! 🤘🦊

sometimes you cant tell after live performance sound the guitar tone is heavier lot than studio version. thats why I love listening to the studio version

  • @DaniloSouza84

Listening to the studio version of the songs loses at least 80% of the real BABYMETAL experience.

    👍 👍
After becoming a fan of these young ladies and their LIVE performances and choreography I now find it difficult to enjoy a band (no matter how talented) just standing onstage performing without awesome choreography😉. Honest.

Reactors that put content behind a paywall just prove that they don't care about the bands they react to or that bands fans. It's ALL about clicks and trying to persuade people to actually pay you money just to watch a video that's on a million free sites. Disgusting.
