OK, I'm gonna try to rationalize how it was possible that Bill never met Leanne before this episode. In the episode where Luanne has to go back to the trailer where she lived (coinciding with an incoming tornado), the drive she and Peggy make to get to the trailer park is quite long, at least a few hours. So if Luanne lived in this trailer for all or most of her life, then she didn't grow up in Arlen and probably saw the Hills only occasionally. This would also better explain Leanne's meetings with Dale and Boomhauer, as they seem to be isolated incidents where they crossed paths with her maybe once or twice (especially in Boomhauer's case). Meanwhile, during all this time, Bill is in the Army, married to Lenore, etc. He was not the lonely loser that we see on the show. He could have very easily not met Leanne at that point due to Bill just having his own life, doing his own thing, like going to Molly Hatchet concerts (where he met Lenore). Couple that with the possibility that Luanne was not raised in or near Arlen, and you get a good sense of how it might have been probable that Bill never met Leanne before, without needing an exposition dump.

I've always taken that line in the same way as you, one of Hank's strange hang-ups and to me, it made it funnier. Now I just feel dumb. 😊

I think the argument about voice actors being the same ethnicity as animated characters is a little silly. It is nowhere close to John Wayne in Genghis Khan makeup or any of the horrible blackface that went on in Hollywood. I think we are well past the point where light or dark skinned people are favored for their skin tone to play whatever characters. I think anyone should be allowed to VOICE ACT any character, regardless of your race going both ways, obviously. Not stressing about it so much would lead to people not worrying about finding an actor who has the same vague skin color. The English voice actor for Kazuma Kiryu stepped down so Sega could cast an actor who "better fit the ethnic role of the character", even though the replacement was Korean and not Japanese. That kind of stuff is just silly to me. It's looping back around to "So are ya Chanese or Japanese?" I really think it shouldn't matter, most of all when their ethnic background has nothing to do with their character. Someone once told me a long time ago that a voice can come from anywhere. Besides, at the end of the day, it is acting. Segregating the voice acting industry, if anything, may lead to discouraging diverse casts, because it would be a hassle to do background checks on all of them. Can a black man never be the voice of a Spartan? Can a white man never be the voice of a Samurai? Can an Asian man never be the voice of a uh...I just realized I don't know what kind of culture Africa even has that is similar to those warriors, but I think my point is the same regardless.

this is one of the better eps. it's relatable to both parents and minors. hell to little kids they wont get it. but when they get older they slowly get it and also the jokes. so yeah I say it aged well. but it's still messy even to this day. there parents out there don't want there kids to learn anything about sex not even when they're teens. and there schools out there like mine I count 2 of them I was in. they would sneek sex ed without the parents knowledge. mom and dad got mad because I was still 7 when they teach sex ed without them knowing. and again at jr high. but they were not so angry because I'm already old enough plus the damage was already done anyway. so why bother to be outraged? but still some schools would pull stuff like this. and don't worry I wasn't traumatized. to curios to be freaked out.

I would not say 400 upvotes means something is a popular opinion. I hang out in that sub more days of the week than not and I’ve never had that post recommended to me. That subreddit is actually VERY divided between people that love Peggy like me and people that hate her. 400 upvotes is a pretty low amount by that subs standards.

If you wanted to get artsy, dale where shades a majority of the time because he doesn't want too look into people eyes given how often they lie by omission. (idea falls flat since he wore that type before the marriage), but he rarely seen without it for a reason. But you can blame Dales high degree of interest in conspiracy theories because hes in one. There has to be another reason why his best friends wouldn't tell him. Of course silver lining, maybe Dale is sterile, so that could be a reason of making lemonade out of the situation.

I do hope to see more of your king of the hill episode reviews, because this was actually pretty good

Leanne is, I suspect, still a selfish person with narcissistic tendencies even without the alcohol. In addition, it was a choice to start drinking again because she KNEW alcohol caused her to be violent, and she didn't change even after prison time for her previous actions that should've been a wake-up call.
