I’m glad I got into SNK thanks to Terry in Smash and it was how I learned about Athena and Psycho Soldier. She is real cool and I can see why she is iconic on the level of Terry. Terry in Smash helped me have a newfound appreciation for SNK and its history. Also Smash’s remix of Psycho Soldier was the first version of it I ever listened to and it is AWESOME so I am glad you included that at the start of the video!

If only Ingrid could meet Athena later in Capcom vs Snk 3.

I find it somewhat odd that for CVS2 Rain was considered when sprites were made for Hayato’s MVC2 appearance. Hayato probably would’ve had a special intro/dialogue with Haohmaru.

Always enjoy picking Athena as a point, she's easy to understand and reserves meter for the next characters. Also Psycho Soldier theme is really good catchy tune always neat to hear new renditions of it.

Unrelated to the Athena video but the other day on your community tab I asked you what movies you like to watch around the Halloween season, and you said you like to watch House on Haunted Hill (1959) well 2 to 3 days ago the artist of the Psychonauts series literally posted art based on the 1959 House on Haunted Hill film. Talk about a weird coincidence.

well damn, l'm so glad that my girl athena is in capcom versus series, l wish to getting her as guest characters in other modern fighting games franchises, such as street fighter 6, tekken 8, granblue versus rising and so on. 2:56 - and yes, haruna ikezawa as athena is the best athena's voice actress in KOF series since KOF 98. she's soooo legendary. 3:38 - and also, no mentioned for unofficial current athena's ENG voice clips from KOF MUGEN fanmade, which is rina-chan A.K.A kira buckland. soooo, like another dream role for kira buckland as fighting games characters, which is dizzy / queen dizzy from guilty gear. annnd she's going to hit guilty gear strive first, before it'll headed into, u know, athena asamiya from KOF XVI for next few years or maybe guest characters in other modern fighting games franchises, like l said earlier. 0:48 - but uhhhhh, l agree with rome. athena & bison has got exact saaame psycho power in KOF & street fighter franchise. but, it's doesn't have special intros between athena & bison in CVS2, which is pretty disappointing. 4:14 - l actually never played for theses 2 athena's arcade games at much. but duuude, athena: awakening from the ordinary life, this is the game, l beat it, back to 2022 during halloween hoilday. l was a lot fun to playing this game on PS1, it is resident evil type style from KOF characters. but yeah, l agree, it is japanese only on PS1, which is extremely disappointing if u ask me. but, l would love to see re-release or ports on PS5 / PS6 or maybe ENG translator hack of this game, that would be awesome. but hey, great video showcase for my girl athena, she's one of my #1 favorite characters in KOF and one of my favorite characters in all of fighting games. soooo, keep it up and good work, theseventhforce.

Bro great video, Athena is my favorite SNK character. It was thanks to CvS2 that I found out about her. She also happens to be one of my mains in CvS2. Actually in every KOF game she's also one of my mains.

Cool, a SNK character! Great job! Athena in the KOF fandom is pretty much a character you either like to play or hate to fight against because her Psycho Balls are so spammable. Oh, the Game Over screen of that Athena game is pretty haunting if I do say so myself.

So this was the character you were hinting at... I have like every KOF OST both OG & AST alongside Terry's Smash Ultimate music. Now imagine how many Psycho Soldier songs and rearrangements I have on my phone/laptop because of Athena Asamiya.

3:12 You don't have to be ashamed Force, I liked Hamtaro too. In my super crossover that only exists inside my mind, Athena leads a team of Psychics made up of her, Ness and Silver and they have a rivalry with dark Psychics like Dark Phoenix, Mewtwo and Psycho Mantis.

Fun fact: Haruna Ikezawa (Athena's VA since KOF '98) didn't sing her own version of the Psycho Soldier theme until 2018, with the release of the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection. She even sang Kizu Darake no Blue Moon (a bonus track included with the Psycho Soldier cassette) in KOF XI before Psycho Soldier lol

Danvers had been captain marvel its kamial kang that there trying to make work now with the title in the comics and on the tv series which I never watched but I didn’t bother with wandavision our secret invasion our agents of shield. Marvel failed epically to make the character work and be profitable the rebooted here comic run 8 time after Monica no longer had the title any more .they just can’t make the character work. Captain marvel was profitable from when he was a guy kree alien with his name spelled slightly different and when Monica was giving the powers of captain marvel and leader of the avengers all the way back in the 1980s run of the comics. To complicate things even further there had already been a point way way way way back in the past even before the mcu existed a reverse gender character similar to Captain Marvel called Miss marvel who may have taken the tittle of Captain Marvel later on in the future . Like how ant men giant man and yellow jacket had all been the same character at one point.
