🎉🎉🎉 thanks for the shoutout fluffy!
Great selection of vibes artists! Victor Feldman was a one off musician.. his recording credit list is just crazy! If you’ve not seen it, check out a UA-cam vid- Roy Ayers Vs Clyde Gassaway / Vibe Battle. ( it’s “Dwight” Gassaway but misspelled)
@@Ed-Topo-108 I will definitely have to check that out! Thanks for watching!
Time Life Red Norvo
Great that you included Dickerson and Berger, favorites of mine and still very much under the radar. Check out Khan Jamal if you haven't already. cheers, alex.
@@diamond_marimba Khan Jamal is one that I would love to add to the collection, his records have been in my wantlist for some time now. Thanks for watching!
Chad loves his FOMO and loves to say hesitate today and cry tomorrow. I guarantee these 4500 copies will sell out fast. I thought they would sell out during the pre-order stage but that didn't happen. UHQR's are overpriced but are my go-to editions when I play an album. Besides with vinyl since it is a wearable medium it doesn't hurt to have more than one good sounding copy of a favorite album.
@@dgross2009 thanks for your input, Donald. From what I’ve noticed, the UHQRs don’t sell out during the pre-order stage, and sometimes a UHQR title stays in stock for months. It all depends on the quantity and if people are determined to pay up for this reissue. I’ve seen mixed feelings with this one online, but me personally this is a top favorite of mine. I’m with you on the fact that it doesn’t hurt to have more than one good sounding copy 👍. Cheers!
There is probably a 50% chance of me buying the UHQR which means that I probably will😊
@@kennysaudiophilerecordreviews Right on, Kenny! Thanks for watching! 😁
Listen to Fraction - Moon blood if you like the Doors
@@crazyprayingmantis5596 oh I’m fully aware of Fraction - Moon Blood 😂👍 Thank you!
@@fluffyrecords Did you get the Riding easy reissue?
@@crazyprayingmantis5596 I haven’t bought a copy yet, but I dig the album for sure
Listen to Fraction - Moon blood if you like the Doors
I'm big Sinatra fan but I'm confused why this album has been chosen for re-release when it's 70th anniversary was done so well. There are other albums by Sinatra around the time that should be remastered and re-released. Seems waste of time
Hey Luke, I agree with what you have to say. This 45 release is not going to be for everyone, but I’m very glad that IMPEX has the alternative version being the 33, which sounds absolutely spectacular. I hope that there will be more Frank Columbia reissues that IMPEX can bring.
They talk about youth having a short attention span but as a grumpy old man I've seen so many videos of this nature now that If I give a presenter more than thirty seconds before he or she she starts "getting on with it" they have to be funny or at least amusing. My advice is to leave anything off-topic to the end (like thanks etc).
I'm In With It Fluffy!! I Think It Will Be Amazing!! Love The Packaging!!!
Wooooo Dan!! 👏😁
Fluffy, I salute you!
@@chaunceyphillips Thanks Chauncey!!
Don't forget to add tax & shipping to the acquisition cost(s) - so over $150 for just one disc; the box should feel like it's a value add; now they've changed the box and it feels more about cost savings than lead time of getting them. Overall, I found this a better choice than some of the more recent UHQR's, but still feels like they are trying to squeeze every drop out of the toothpaste tube rather than take risks for new reissue titles in this format. But hey, it's not my company. 🙂
@@ConcertBuddie I should’ve taken the additional costs into consideration. I agree that it seems like they are milking the same reissues when there’s definitely other titles out there that deserve a quality reissue. We shall see if AP/Acoustic Sounds will start reissuing titles that will actually excite people. Thanks for watching, Chance!
I pre-ordered it. Like you I have the double 45 and it’s really good. I have the white label promo and a regular stock copy, they all sound good. The differences between them all are minimal depending on the system you’re playing them on.
@@VinylPiper that’s awesome! It would be cool to own an original, but I’m glad that the uhqr is coming out. I’ve been wanting a 33rpm copy for some time now. Thank you for letting me know about the sound differences between your copies & thank you for watching 👍
You should probably think hard before sending 125 dollars for the UHQR unless you want everything by the Doors Listen to Chads video and he says the best sounding is the one you already have!! I own the 45 RPM and won’t be buying the UHQR
@@davepounds8924 You’re right, I don’t need two copies that sound the same. Therefore, if the 33 sounds just like the 45 (or even better), I’ll be keeping the 33 and sell the 45. Like I said, shelf space for the box isn’t a concern for me since I have a giant box to put in my box sets, so we’re talking about the speed at this point. I’ve been staying away from 45s these days and have been getting rid of most of my double 45s. 33rpm all the way for me. Thanks for watching!
I love LA Woman! Probably my second favorite Doors after their debut album. This is exciting news, but not sure I can spare the $125 pre-order price, though. The original packaging makes it especially tempting!
@@MarkMorris-1962 Right!! That’s how I felt too with the price. I’ve bought UHQRs in the past, and never had any issue plus this is my favorite band + album of theirs so buying this is a no brainer for me 😅
I enjoyed your presentation. I’m not into jazz really, but it was cool to hear you talk about your selections. Big surprise to hear you mention Black Sabbath! Cool!
@@musicisajourney I’ve been slowly venturing out to other genres on the channel, but my collection is mostly jazz 😅 Thanks for watching! 😁
That Carl and the passion twofer is good in mono, but if you want the best sounding, that ananalog productions mono is the way to go. Also, Johnny Cash Folsom prison is great on VMP.
Ranking your fave band's albums is always hard since something naturally has to come in last, and everyone's ranking is always going to be subjective and possibly controversial. Mad respect for this (especially since I struggled super hard to do a Beatles ranking forever ago) and I too fell in love with the Doors in my high school years ;)
@@BeatleBabe I agree! I think I would have a harder time ranking the Beatles albums (I wouldn’t know if I wanted to do their original UK or US releases *I guess UK since that’s where the group is from*). That’s awesome that you also fell in love with the Doors during your high school years! Thanks for watching, Jenn! 😆
@@fluffyrecords It's interesting that you mention needing to choose between UK or US albums for the Beatles -- I went with UK, but eventually I'll do US as well, and eventually, a *full* full list including the offshoot albums like the Anthology, Past Masters, Live at the BBC, etc too :)
@@BeatleBabe Nice! I think ranking the UK albums first is the move, but we obviously got very different releases from the UK. Like you said, everyone’s ranking is always going to be subjective and possibly controversial, but I also think doing these rankings is fun ;) I’m looking forward to seeing how you rank the US releases, and especially that full full list that you mentioned 😆
Have about 15 - 20 books - about The Doors. Still can’t figure anything out. Lol . Fun reading. I bought LIVE AT MATRIX CDs - they were pros - at a very young age.
@@seagullpoet Awesome! I’ve been needing to buy some books on The Doors. I guess the only book I have that’s related to the band is “The Collected Works of Jim Morrison”. I used to own one of the Live At The Matrix LPs (Let’s Feed Ice Cream To The Rats), now I’m going to try to get as many of these releases. It shall be fun. Thanks for watching!
@@fluffyrecords 2 books - Lizard King was Here - and - Me Mary and Jim. Those 2 books - opened my eyes.
another good video.. i need that Sabu 1561 to help finish collecting the entire 1500's. I need about 10 more.

Great great video!!!!!!!! Just curious ... which instrument do you prefer when listening to jazz..drum beats, sax, etc.....???? What label do you like the most????? Thanks for sharing.
@@DELTAsf7md Thanks for watching! My preference when I was younger was the alto sax / tenor sax, but now i don’t have a preference. It just depends on the mood that I’m in for what I want to listen to. When it comes to labels, the obvious choice would be Blue Note, but really I don’t have a preference. I like to listen to a lot of different labels. Thanks again!
Great find with Moonmeams! And another great Eddie Costa album is Guys and Dolls Like Vibes, also with Bill Evans on piano. Drummer Denzil Best wrote some great tunes, including “Move” from Birth of the Cool.
@@Yonkworf I didn’t know that about Denzil Best! Thanks for the comment, recommendation, and for watching!

$75 for an original Night Dreamer!? What a deal
Right?!?! Thanks for watching!
Way to go Fluffy! I like your channel. I agree with your list - especially City Lights. Frankly I don’t care what Joe Harley previously released on MMJ - it was a very well done reissue series. But so what. New jazz fans need access to ALL the Blue Note titles. They are a national treasure and the MMJ prices on their website are gouging at best. Keep on going Fluffy.
I agree 100%. Thanks for watching and for the support!! 😄
