This is not really night vision, just a contrast enhanced camera. A true night vision needs to be based on FLIR for any practical solution. There are just way too many light sources on a normal highways as this prototype proved... Of course this could be mitigated with further signal processing but I'm not sure if a Pi will cut it.

@@dingdong2103 Yes, just an interesting hack. I’ve done similar with a DSLR, but not the HUD.
@@thetechq On some cars even a separate mirror is not needed, the windshield itself reflects enough if you put a screen on the dash...
