I got scammed on Amazon - Fake Guitar Strings
Fake Guitar Strings.
I got scammed on Amazon. I had a guitar string emergency and needed some strings in a hurry.
Unfortunately I wasn't paying close attention and ended up with a fake pack of "Ernie Ball" guitar strings.
I know there's better places to buy guitar strings but I was in a bind and I've never had any issues with Amazon before.
So in today's video I'll explain how I ended up with a pack of fake guitar strings from Amazon, how to spot if you have got fake guitar strings and how to avoid getting scammed like I did.
At the time of publishing this video the seller is still live on the Amazon UK site selling guitar strings.
Thanks for watching and don't forget to like and subscribe.

The Harley Benton RX10 BK Rock Guitar Review. How can Harley Benton make a guitar this good for so little money? Welcome to my first ever guitar review here on Guitar Stuff Studio. Today I take a look at the Harley Benton RX10 BK Rock Guitar. I'm glad I did. This guitar is awesome. I only paid £109 for it from Thomanns and I can't get over how well it plays. I put super light strings on my Strat - How do they sound?

7 gauge strings are about the lightest gauge you can put on your guitar and I wanted to see what they played like. We all know that Billy Gibbons out of ZZ Top uses 7 gauge strings and that he got the idea from BB King but what is it like to play super light strings? Well I put a set of Ernie Ball Zippy Slinky strings on my Fender Player Strat to find out. Thanks for watching and don't forget t...

The Harley Benton G212 amplifier cab has been in the news for a while now. When someone says there's a cab with 2 x Celestion V30 speakers and it costs less than £250, it's hard to believe. I needed a new cab for an amp I had just bought so I ordered one and here's my thoughts on it. I bought the cab from Thomanns and paid for it myself. This is not a sponsored video. Zippy Slinky - I put Ernie Ball 7 Gauge Strings on my Strat

Long story short I loved them and then proceeded to put 8 gauge strings on all of my guitars. (I suffer with arthritis in my fingers and 8s are super easy to play). More recently I was challenged to put a set 0f 7 gauge strings on one of my guitars and here we are. This is just ...

    i bought Harley's fretless bass 8 years ago. great piece of instrument for about 150q (can't remember how quid stand those days). sounds perfectly even unplugged. there is some issue, that you can relate into 'fretwork' on fretted guitars - high C are sometimes muted, so it became as not perfectly fretboard work done, but... my friend, with i play from time to time, bought a 'highend Harley' strat. sth around 300q. he's in love with it. he have bunch of Jacksons for his proffessional stuff but wanted something for lighter stuff (HSS). he's in love with it too, and he just regret, that it looks how it looks, because it beats he's Jackons as hell in terma of creating sounds (;

Yer right but……. Gibson did the Dean headstock back in the fifties 😮 I saw this “Dean” Flying V in the Gibson Garage in London. £20k can you believe it? What’s more can you believe they let some random dude (me) play it? They offered so what would you do? Long story short I liked the £5k Les Paul custom more 😂 than that. Here’s some detail about that Gibson Dean Flying V ua-cam.com/video/Ifmui30POeM/v-deo.html

Such a shame all the cheapo "metal" guitars are black... The explorer is cool too but I hate black Explorers and Flying V. Cherry, white, natural wood... those are Flying V colours... White is super classic, it's a Randy Rhoads basically... I will shell out the extra 200 for the natural wood Explorer because those are gorgeous and so close to a proper 1958 Explorer. I hate their symmetrical Vs... wish they made the 58 Flying V. The trademark expired... still it's so cheap I might get one just as a guitar I can leave in the band room and won't cry if someone knocks it over. I say that now but once I put Toneriders and fancy hardware in and polish the frets and round the board I'll get attached to it like my TE62DB. I treat it like my Gibson. It's my precious. Sold out for 4 months so it may as well be... I can't speak highly enough of the HB Teles... Gor one of their premium Les Pauls and it is one of my nice guitars. Feels all fancy. The binding had paint marks on it so I got 20 bucks off and got out the razor. If they can make them this nice. Skimp on scraping the binding by all means I can do that myself. And frankly I've seen paint on the binding on guitars triple the price

I use a cheap rechargeable snark clip on for my acoustics. I tune then remove it. I had the battery operated one for a couple years and it worked great with no issues. I passed that on to my nephew and picked up the rechargeable snark for myself and it's working great a year or more later without any issues. I'm getting ready to order a Peterson strobe tuner with metronome just to be that much more anal about being in perfect tune...lol

Studio producer Chris Tsangaredes (rip) in an interview on UA-cam had a great little story. He had a guitarist in his studio who wanted Chris to get him an Eddie Van Halen guitar tone. Chris said back to the guitarist "your not Eddie Van Halen, you doughnut." The guitarist went "huh?, what if I had what he uses?" Then Chris says "Eddie would sound like Eddie no matter what gear he uses. "You will only sound like you end of". I thought that story was great as it teaches you that the player has to get their own sound.

I personally enjoy setting up my own guitars as I've learnt from all the top guitar builders from Tone Talk episodes on UA-cam. It's ok paying someone to setup a guitar, but it still might not be how you want it. You will laugh but there are some players can't tune up their guitars let alone restring.

I don’t think there is any such thing as a beginner guitar; all guitars are either good or they’re not. If they’re not good, DON’T get one as a beginner or you’ll give up! SO yes - this would be a great option for a beginner, because it’s a good guitar, but it’s also great for anyone who wants a cool looking, great sounding V with good tuning stability 😊👌🏻

One thing I like about a good old Strat. It can fall down a flight of stairs and still remain in tune. Granted with the 70's 3 bolt "microtune" neck you would have to give it a whack now and again to beat the neck straight... and then it would be back in tune.

My dad liked all of the post Beatles solo stuff better then the Beatles. Living with my dad in the 70's I was exposed to a lot of that. But my mom raised me on the Beatles which I loved then and still do to this day. I can't imagine a world without all of it.

For myself picking a favorite album would be as difficult as picking a favorite song. At any given time any of them can be a favorite. Heck I could not even pick a favorite Beatle. What I can say is IMO Abbey Road really captured all of them at their best as far as studio performance but even with a gun to my head I would be shot before picking a fav.

I've heard from road crew people (many years ago) that many famous guitarists play very light gauges like 8s and lower. Even SRV dropped down to 9s because his wrists were starting to feel those 11s. I just put Reverend Willy's 7s on my PRS Paul's guitar.

I use one of HB's vertical vintage 30 cabs under my Marshall DSL20. I think it's a killer little cab for home and studio use. I wouldn't try touring with one since the construction is more medium duty rather than heavy duty. But I can honestly recommend these cabs for any budget minded player. Tone wise, it sounds like any other modern V30 loaded cab. So you know what you are getting. Nearly all modern V30 cabs are loaded with Asian production speakers regardless of brand or price point.
