Video Games actually really are a great way to get engaged in learning about history. Assassins Creed, COD and Red Dead taught me a lot about historical events while i was growing up and got me into history a lot.

Watching this video after playing Black Ops 6's campaign made me realize how Black Ops 6 basically has no history in it.

this is not super related to geopolitics and stuff, but something that seemed like science fiction in bo2, being rollable displays (controlling tazer spider in the mission karma) and having not only arm mounted screens but also transparent screens (example when driving the POTUS in the mission cordis die), are actually real things that have come true, with today's technology. Samsung and some chinese companies have already shown off high quality, functional rollable displays, and LG and Samsung have shown off some of the best transparent displays, the most recent and best example being samsung's demo of a microLED transparent display at CES2024. The quality of these displays has already gotten insanely good, and it would make sense that we would start to see perhaps transparent displays and arm mounted tac gear with displays being used in the military. Rollable displays would probably have to get more durable, as foldable and rollable displays at the moment are not exactly durable in military environments.. anyways, just thought i'd share something I have been thinking about for the past couple years. I played the shit out of bo2 and it's campaign, and I've been seeing the eerily accurate predictions of bo2 come true in real life. Tbh, that's part of the reason I even clicked on this video, and I'm glad I did. I enjoyed it.

Now I'm curious about a what if scenario presented by the CoD World at War Zombies mode of the alternate history of WW2 Germany discovering an extraterrestrial element capable of effectively resurrecting the dead and attempting to weaponize it as seen in Zombies mode lore, how the Allies in WW2 would realistically respond or react to such a threat?

Great video, CoD: WaW is my favorite CoD of all time, I played it when it came out (I think I was in 6th grade at the time) and remember my grandpa being impressed with the emphasis on historical accuracy and the brutal portrayal of WWII; he was a history buff on the subject since his father flew on bombers during WWII. Interesting fact, the fountain scene with Reznov is almost a direct recreation of a scene from "Enemy at the Gates" a movie about a sharpshooter in the Red Army.

History was always my favorite subject in HS. My teacher taught us what she had to, then taught us to research the true history. I miss that lady. She died my senior year. I love how your video explains things fairly well for the time allotted.
