Yikes... how does one afford even the cheapest one of $1875 a month? Do the normal hs education jobs down there pay enough to pay that kind of rent? Or this just the rich area? Haha

Ironically, that’s the cheapest rent I’ve seen in Florida in the last four years. Someone would have to make $72,000 a year to comfortably afford that if they’re not living a lifestyle of overabundance.

I think in the villa models where there are two long vanities, one could be removed to have a freestanding tub installed. Also, if the other long vanity didn’t include two sinks, and two were needed, that could be replaced for one with two sinks as well.

@@robertluntfloridarealestate Thanks for the reply! (I meant to ask if there were any other builders besides this builder (William Ryan Homes) and Medallion that include impact windows.) Also, I was looking forward to taking walks around the lakes/ponds in my new neighborhood, but if they mostly all contain alligators and the HOAs don’t do anything proactively to remove them, then it’s not really safe to walk around them unless the individual residents take action. Thanks again for your replies!

Oh, it’s safe. I walk around the lakes every day so it doesn’t everybody else. Alligators are more scared of you than you are of them. They don’t hunt people.

Also, if a quick move in is estimated to be completed a few months out, do any builders allow you to make design changes as long as it doesn’t increase the cost or extend the labor/timeline? I believe medallion homes has hurricane impact windows included. But no, none of the builders will let you change structural features on Quick move-in because of permiting. I have to check on Westbay as well. They may have them.

You are correct. Sorry I just meant anything that requires permits. To be clear because the hurricane impact windows are thicker so then that would require them to maybe cut back the drywall or stucco and get new permits and inspections. Things like that. And to be honest what they would charge you for that versus having a handyman do it if any of the builders ever did change their policies on something like that wouldn’t be worth it. The approach would be to get a to be built where you customize it. Otherwise they’ve already put that into the plans for the permit and got it approved and would have to change everything and scrap the windows that they’ve already ordered if they haven’t installed them yet because usually windows go up right after the block walls are completed. Which is usually around stage two. Are you planning to make a trip down here and look at some villas?
