If there is ever a skill that anyone should learn, it's how to repair. Not how to repair ONE thing; no. How to repair *anything*. There's a difference. It's the difference between learning a set of steps and procedures, and allowing your mind to virtually take apart any object; to think outside the box. In the videos I post to this channel, I will repair many things - from the simple to complicated. I'll probably break some things too, you never know!

The model of battery charger that I repair is a Schumacher Electric Corp SE-86, which appears to be from the late 1970s or early 1980s.

002 - Lubricating a Speedometer Cable
Переглядів 37 тис.8 років тому
A bouncy speedometer needle is cause for me to attempt lubricating the speedometer cable in my 1992 Volkswagen Cabriolet. This video details the approach that I took and the results. Sorry about the wind in this video! I need to get a better mic for outdoor stuff, clearly…Still working out the autofocus stuff, too. I found out after filming that yes, in fact, you can still get the bolt for the ...

How to Replace the Batteries in an APC Back-UPS RS 1500 & Similar Models - The Cost Effective Way The very first episode in Legoguy's RepairAnything channel! Replacing a UPS battery is not a very difficult task at all, even if you do it this way and re-use the original wiring & connections. APC charges a pretty penny for pre-assembled replacement packs. I bought one four years ago for this unit...

Where did you buy❓
Such a helpful video and it encouraged me to order the part - clearly I could not fix the latch - it kept getting stuck and would not work. WHen I followed your instructions - everything matched up except the latch part had no screw or design for a screw...exact same latch but it was attached differently. It has a ushaped metal bar on each side holding it in like a prisoner. There is no way to slide, push, lift - won't budge. Extremely stiff metal and I tried bending it backwards - it bent but does not look right so won't force anymore. I have a photo but you don't have an option to share a photo on your comments. Any ideas? Thank you!
I don't suppose you're happy to do repair on my instrument cluster on my 85 Scirocco are you? I'd be sending it from the UK 🇬🇧?🤔
Just watching your video intently as I'm having the same issue on my 83 Scirocco mk2, not sure I'm as brave as you are with a soldering iron! The other problem is I'm in the UK 🇬🇧 but if you're ever over here....... 😂
Great video. The odometer on golf mk1 stopped working. Are you still repairing them?
The latch seems to be working but how did you realign the magnet?
I have the same speaker but there is no sound , the power is ok,
Any idea why temp led blinking? On spare one doesnt blink.
Yes! This was the video I needed. I had already taken the front panel off like it said to in some other video and I didn’t even need to. In the process of putting that all back together, I managed to dislodge my LED floor indicator light and I can’t figure out how it fits back in so I guess I’ll be taking it apart again. I can’t find a single bit of information about that. But now I think we can run a full cycle without having to slam the door over and over again! Thanks.
Very well explained, easier than expected!
My bosch dishwasher was not filling with water, replaced control board, water inlet valve and it still didn't work. Replaced the door lock and still nothing, when the dishwasher starts its cycle and I open and close the door the water will enter and all is good, have you any ideas of the problem.
Where do we find the number to tell what model we have? Our door won't close either. Ours doesn't have that kind of latch. Our dilemma is located in the door part of the lock, not the part located on the machine part.
Thanks for your video. I'd been thinking that someone in the family was opening the dishwasher before it had finished because it wasn't finishing the cleaning cycle. But then I suspected the door wasn't latching, so I called my repair guy a few weeks ago. He checked it out and said that the door had been closed too hard sometimes and it somehow caused the latch to become jammed and that I could manually reset it if that happened again. That five minute visit cost me about $140, which was a little hard to swallow, but I don't actually have a problem with it; I'm paying for his skill and knowledge and he pinpointed the problem right away. I instructed the family to be more gentle when closing the door, but the same problem still kept happening from time to time. I didn't realize how simple it is to access the latch until I watched your video. I removed it this morning and checked it out and it appears to work fine for now. If I have the issue again, I guess I'll order a new latch anyway.
Can I send you my 88 vw cabriolet cluster to repair?
I may be able to help; what’s the problem with it?
first time hearing inviting people to click"dislike". Nice! Like! 🙂
Brilliant😃 Have you seen the price of blue needles in 2022
Hi. I'm about to embarque to make a cluster clock with a MK2 cluster. You would have a diagram of wich pins does what. I'm will be trying to hook it up wiht Dupont wires. Thanks
so another way you can fix that broken line in the blue film, is scrap area to expose as you did, then put flux on it, then liquid solder and use heat gun and the solder will attach to the area you want, this stops any soldering iron mistakes. Done this few times on these blue vw films and worked really well.
That's a great suggestion, and it would definitely work really well!
I didn't end up replacing, but your showed me which way the latch moves so I was about to close the door, thanks!
OH BTW MINE IS THE SAME AS GERYS ONE
Always make sure both tires have the same amount of air in them and the surface is level. You can use a leveler tool to be precise. The scraper bar adjustment will not be correct if either is off.
Thanks so much for this tutorial. It is very helpful! Especially, thanks for taking the time to explain what you are doing.
Good evening! I would like if it is easy for you to tell me if you know which potentiometer he wears for turn it on, turn it off and voice. I am looking to find it and I do not know which one it is. It is broken!
Very, very helpful. Easy fix.
Shitty video quality
thank you thank you thank youuuuu!!!
WAH...NO POSTING OF LUBE USED...
Very helpful video. Thanks
$50 for your spare cluster lmao
Hey my friend. Do you have an extra RPM needle that would fit my 1990 VW Cabriolet that I could purchase? I just broke it and can’t find another. David. 615-310-1771🤦🏻♂️
Will be attempting this on Sunday. Thank you for posting.
Brilliant buddy thanks for your video, the explanation on how it works helped me fixing my door that wouldn't close :) thanks !
My golf 1 speedometer is not working what can i do my speed meter is not working
Thanks! Super helpful. I had the same issue and with your help, it's now fixed!
Penetrating fluid may be more effective
You saved my dishwasher ! Thanks a lot.
is there any schematic wiring diagram or datasheet to follow to troubleshoot the instrument circuit board?
Thanks for posting this, it solved my problem, my latch was intact but in the down position. PS i'm told NEFF, Bosch and AEG use the same latch. My washer is a NEFF.
I have a set of speakers like these for my desk top computer. The yellow light only comes on it one position now. There is no sound coming from the speaker. Sound only works with head phones. The speakers use to have a loud humming sound but not anymore. I am about to give up and buy new speakers but not sure which speakers would be good to go with.
I'm a million years late on this, but I have had this problem since I got the dishwasher. I just pulled it apart and all the parts were there, but I think things were misaligned and needed some lube. Put it all back together and it feels like this might be fixing the problem. Thanks man!
Do you still do repairs to vw odometers?
So I just watched your video and I tried to fix it myself and I did but then I put it back together and the turn signal light would always stay on
Eric Hearon did you by chance disconnect the battery before pulling apart the dashboard? The wires behind the hazard switch are very easy to mistakenly touch together and cause a blown fuse. I would check all your fuses, especially the hazard flasher fuse and left/right turn signal fuse.
Thanks, took ages to find a video where the latch mechanism was in the top of the washer rather than the door. Very helpful.
Oh my ahhh, your autofocus camera made me sick. Love your work, hate your overhead camera.
GOOMAKERS yes, it’s painfully obvious that I need a better solution ;)
@@legoguys-repair-anythingI have a mk2 instrument cluster that needs repair. Would you be interested in looking at it.
Your video helped a lot. Fixed my odo that’s 35yrs old. I tested my work with a drill in reverse driving the speedo connection with a #2 square tip.
My luck, part about the odometer, camera not working!
