Ray does a lot better with the drums than David but David had the groove and style with the drums for korn so I prefer david

I prefer Ray. David is good. David’s approach worked better with Fieldy, while Ray’s approach works better with Munky and Head.

As a drummer myself, Dave Silveria all day! Aside from being a founding member, Dave does not "showboat!" Ray is a clown act. Seems most of Korn these days are going with the times (make-up, pop, and noise). I have zero respect for Ray. Moreover, Tama Drums and Paiste Rude cymbals are the tonality. Pearl Drums and Sabian cymbals not only sound factory, but have no resiliance with the mix.

That dude who replaced RCHP guitarist didn't effect anything for me but you can't replace Wes Borland.

This video has the answer of the real difference between both, Ray Luzier plays great too but still i bloudy miss David´s style

David silveria is better than Ray luzier but I do respect Ray and they definitely did David wrong. Extremely wrong even though he agreed to it. Anyone who disagrees with me doesn't know the true history.

David was a Beast. Ray is great no doubt in that but he dont have that groove.

Ray is a fucking beast technically...Army of Anyone was cool but not STP groovey. To my ear, David had swing and could tuck that snare behind the beat. Same with old GnR with Attler vs Matt Sorum. The Who never got it back after Moony went. Gotta have feel folks.

For David's songs, David.. always, the new music is something else, something different. Old Korn needs David on the drums, Ray can play them but doesn't have the same feel, he is awesome but is not the same. The thing is the old drums were never meant to be metal that was the magic

I love the power groove of David’s drum tracks, but Ray is a session musician with a degree in music and is a technically superior drummer.

David gave them their korn sound he has a style all his own. Ray is just a drummer IMO

in this comparison David silveria way better and more hits on the drums than ray's it sounds like to me.

both are great, but by just going by this comparision, of course David Silveria, but honesty dont' think this was a fair comparison at all, especially since they are both two different shows recorderings, sounds settings etc.

Ray can play everything david did in his prime, without even trying so hard AND at keeping time. C'mon guys, david can't even get doubles right, plus he isn't the first drummer to drop beats and fills like that. Tim alexander from primus and mike bordin from faith no more did it years earlier. No offense but david is extremely over rated among korn fans. Was he a good drummer? Yes, but not nearly as good as ray and clearly very replaceable. He left the band and never came back, now he is remembered for what he was but nobody wants to accept the sad reality of what he is now. Sorry it had to be said and i did😢

David's grooves sounds simpler but i like them more, they have soul/identity

It seems ray dampens his snare, dave let’s that shit ring.. super tight snare that cuts through in the mix. It will always be Dave.
