Training in NZ on a Foxbat…love it!!!
It’s an easy and fun aeroplane to fly, ideal for training. At the same time it’s basic simple fun flying for more experienced pilots and very capable STOL in the right hands. I’ve owned fast and aerobatic but I love the go anywhere and land anywhere of the Foxbat. Enjoy your training and remember your most special flight ever is your first Solo.
Is that a 2m/70cm antenna?
Yes.
@irishflyer6377 wow, G4YBP. Patrick Darcy.
Hi, what size is your jacket and How tall are you? Would love to know how much of a size difference is it smaller!
Hi, I’m about 5’11” or 180cms and around 80kg. I’d normally go for a Medium but in this I needed a Large and this is still a snug fit with just a T-shirt uNader it. Because the mesh is not as stiff as other road jackets it’s important that the Jacket isn’t too big so that the armour stays in place. I hope this helps
@irishflyer6377 Nice! Thank you. I'm 5'10 and 75 kg. The overall dimensions seemed right for the medium but just wanted to make sure they dont run too big or small.
Not too many people understand how superior the Delta Wing design really is.
Good simple, informative review. I have bought the mark 11 in olive and black, Not used it yet,too cold, but love it. Totall agree re sizes, usually xl too tight, returned to Sportsbikeshop and replacement by return, 2xl perfect.
Thank you, I think it’s great once temperatures get above mid twenties C.

Just bought an Eclipse 2. Love it! Still go a size up though. Im XL in almost everything, but XXL in blue was the one for me. Interestingly, i could feel the cooling airflow through it just walking around at work. On the road, a big temp difference after following a ute for a while, and then riding alone - was much cooler after the ute turned into a side street. I'm very happy with it. The only disappointment is there is no way to upgrade the CE 1 armour to CE 2 level for better protection.
Can you please tell why it’s not possible to upgrade the armor?

Iv been riding years I ride big old school zeds , xjr13 yams and Harleys , i bought a 125 van van , and absolutely love it stylish and so much fun on the back lanes the only thing i feel is that it needs a heavier duty chain and sprockets as il soon update , why dont they make a 350 version that would be a game changer .
I also have bigger bikes and you’re right about the fun a 350 would be. The TW225 was the closest I could find. Maybe the air cooled 350cc bikes from Royal Enfield might feel this way but I suspect they are a lot heavier.
Unfortunately, most of this video was blurry (out of focus), at least on my laptop's screen. What a shame.

Есть много подержанных машин, потому что они продаются уже почти 20 лет.
Hey. How have you mounted the bike on the Defender? What weight is the bike? How does it drive. Would appreciate if you could share.
The bike is on a hydraulic lift (bit like this one www.ebay.com.au/itm/282655256208), it attaches to the plate the tow ball is on and uses a build in bottle Jack to lift the bike, the same way as some garage Jacks lift from under the engine. The bike in the video is about 120kg, and I’d say this is about as much as you’d want. It drives OK I’ve done 250mile trip each way but you do feel the extra weight out past the rear axle and I take it very easy over potholes and speed bumps. Another good idea is the MotoLug trailer, they are very easy to dismantle and put inside the car/van/defender, great for a weekend where you want to leave the Car parted up while your riding.
I just ordered it, 3XL, hope it fits nice
At least you are honest and mention they do nothing for you when going slower or at a stop. At temps at 35 degree it is going gong do nothing to help keep one cooler as all it is would be is an air fryer. Better off with a heavy leather to keep some heat off you.
Correct, after a certain point (I’d say 40 deg ish but perhaps 35) then just wet your t shirt and cover it with a sealed jacket. This is great in the 20 to 34/40 ish area
Hi I'm Curious. how tall are. @ 6ft3 I'm wondering if its feasible.
I’m about 5’11” and I think you’re too tall for my idea to be comfortable. Might be slightly better on the passenger side and have your feet at the windscreen because the back is more vertical.
Diblasi stainless steel inox.
Thanks for the review - always good to see non sponsored reviews on things. you seem to have shown us testing on the really high temp side of things, what about the average UK/Ireland summer? (16-25C, dry) would you recommend it for that ?
I’d say it’s way to ventilated for 16C, from a temperature point of view think of it as if you’re wearing no jacket and at 16C it would be too cold to ride in just a t-shirt ( forget about protection for a moment) by 25C I’d say it’s a very good option, perhaps slightly cold if you were doing long motorway riding. You could use a waterproof under or over it to provide wind protection and this might good thing on typical UK/Irish summer days where it’s mid twenties during the day but might be only high teens in the evening on your way home. For this part of the world it’s good for the very best days we get but not an all round jacket. I hope this helps.
How to purchase the little bike 🤔👌😎
🤔
Looks great, do they speak English?
When I was there in 2021 they had at least one guy working on rentals that had good English, he had lived in England for a while. They are a big dealer and lots of young Spanish speak English. Try emailing them first and ask, I found them good to deal with and would use them again. They are out by the beach but there is a good and cheap bus service from the City Centre and once you collect its easy to head up or down the coast out of the city. Lots of free bike parking bays around Valencia.
I'm thinking about buying the mesh pants that go with this jacket.
I also have the Mesh Pants, lots of air flow, at first feels a little like wearing shorts. Again like the jacked that are a small fit so try on if you can or order a size bigger than normal, might even need two sizes.
@@irishflyer6377 Thanks for the advice.

Faster time & just as small as the famous Brompton folding bike! :D
Interesting. I can do much better in an Auster J5F.
I think light aircraft have only improved a small amount over the decades, they have perhaps become a little more novice friendly. Most STOL is about the skill of the pilot, especially true when landing. Its also not a great spectator sport because the camera does show the day/conditions well. Thank you for watching
tested on heavy rain, a mesh jacket, yeah, brilliant, jesus fuck
I didn’t plan to be in the rain, it’s the way Spain is some days.

Front wrong, check arrow. Why remove front rotors? You could use wood supports.
Thank you, I did respond to a much earlier comment that I realised my mistake and correct the rotation direction. I removed the rotors because I was changing wheels at the same time , I have two sets for this bike. I hope you have great riding in 2023.
Noooo 😵
I have a 2022 Pan America Special with factory crash guards- couldn't be happier with the bike! There have been 125 or so small changes and tweaks to the bike since it's release, just like all new release bikes- including the GS. Bmw has made thousands of changes since 2013 R1200GS release.

You’re very welcome.
I’ve had a about 5 van van 125 and a couple of TW125s , I always preferred the van vans , I’ve treated myself to a 2002 Japanese market van van 200 and am in the process of getting it road registered for the Uk , the power increase should make it the perfect bike for me , the 125 were always a bit lacking on power .
I’ve always liked both they are fun bikes. I think The Van Van might be a little nicer on the road but the TW a little better off tarmac, but just my view. The 200 will not be massively different to the 125 but will give that little bit extra needed. Enjoy the new 200.
У меня VAN VAN 200 Я ДОВОЛЕН НА 💯 %
death trap i love it
Sometimes ridiculous is fun
Sounds good but looks pretty slow.
It’s able to do nearly 30 miles an hour but you would not want to do more than 20. As I’ve said another comments it’s a good alternative to walking not an alternative to a full motorbike. However it is fun.
That handlebar hook needs adjusting. Sketchy ride lolol
I think they’re really an alternative to walking not an alternative to a motorbike and handling is marginal at best. But they’re fun
