We mentioned it. All those death flags everywhere couldn't be more obvious that we may lose Paul, and like you said, we're connected to him and if he dies instead of Zenith, he's the one we will mourn. We will feel sad if they can't save Zenith but we will mourn Paul if we lose him. The cheating flags are also there whether Paul survives or not. I also think Rudy's going to cheat because he's had so many chances to bring Sylphie up but nope. He hasn't. And maybe won't until it's too late. Or maybe mentioning her won't matter with the attraction between them. Lust is lust. And that may be a reason the Faceless God told Rudy to stay the heck home. What if his confession that he cheated is the reason for Sylphie's hypothetical (for now) miscarriage? It's true what the Faceless God said anyway, whatever choice he made he would be left full of regrets. He made his choices. And he'll have more choices to make. The only problem is Rudy doesn't know what he will be left regretting. But Rudy can't start feeling sorry for himself after the fact when he was warned. The choice does seem obvious when you think he can go help his father rescue his mother in a shorter period of time because that is his family. But when you start seeing the "like father like son" behaviour, that's when you say to yourself, "ah, I get it now 🤨". ~Vero~

I was going to admit in episode 2 reaction that out of curiosity I looked up Osamu Dazai just because he is probably the most popular character (I already knew him before starting the show). Let me tell you, if I had read this man's biography before starting the show we might have needed to pause during the character's introduction because I would have died. I would have needed my inhaler. I would have gone nuts. I cannot, belatedly, get over the dark humor of this messed up introduction 🤣🤣🤣 I guess it's good I didn't know because I don't think I would have been able to concentrate on anything else except that this man that kept trying to kill himself in real life and drowned on double suicide was introduced trying to drown himself and his character was made into a suicidal maniac 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣 I told my husband who doesn't even care for anime (I know, SHAME!!!!) and even he was laughing and saying WTF. I did get a bit of a spoiler on some American authors, like F Scott Fitzgerald and Nathaniel Hawthorne. I thought to myself that if Fitzgerald can make himself or anyone grow young or old at will I would facepalm and as for Hawthorne, I don't remember much about him except that I HATED reading The Scarlet Letter. As a teen I said "I hate you" and I didn't care to read anything else by him 🤣🤣 Maybe this anime will make him more interesting than his bore of a style. Well I shouldn't have that opinion.... I should try again, it's been an eternity after all 🤔 But anyway, I won't bore you anymore with my own ramblings 😅 I do tend to get wordy. For me it’s another aspect of bsd I enjoy-geeking out regarding the relation to the real-life counterparts XD there are more fun trivia to discover later on, once you get to know more characters. The BSD creator really played with the relationships, and values of the authors. And about Hawthorne, funny, another bsd reactor mentioned he also hated him LOL Just some advise before I forget: please don’t skip the Dead Apple Movie after watching S3, as it’s canon. People might mention it later on too. And after S3, I suggest watching the BSD Wan spinoff too! It’s so fun and a much needed therapy break for what will to come later on………

Outside of Dadaism attractiveness- he’s quite a curious character to me, especially his tendencies to his favourite hobby as it made me more interested in seeing how his character arc played out just like the other characters. I loved your reaction and after reaction as if was quite interesting to listen to, and the fact that they’re based off of authors makes it pretty fun as well

I have only looked up one, and that is Dazai's, and knowing that he tried drowning a few times until he finally succeeded and that's how we meet the character in BSD is just... I know we laugh a lot and make a lot of jokes even during serious scenes, but that doesn't change the fact that we do get emotional regardless. Togame's backstory since he fought Sakura was already heartbreaking. Seeing him in Choji's mind trying to mend, somehow keep shards of glass together was even more so. We use the phrase "walking on eggshells" a lot, but in this case it was walking on cracked glass, like cracked ice, you can fall through any moment. But nobody can put those pieces together again. The Japanese can actually fix a lot of things, like a cup or a vase with gold and make it more beautiful than it was before, but I don't believe that is the case for emotional scars. They are not beautifully golden even if you patch things up and move on to a better future. That's just what it looks like on the surface until problems arise again. I'm not saying they will for Shishitoren. I'm simply speaking from a realistic perspective. ~ Vero ~

He DID get beat though, emotionally. As Umemiya said, he didn't mean to drive him into a corner but that's exactly what he did, and it's what was necessary. Not a hard thing to do for Umemiya when he can tell Choji is lost and near his breaking point. They did have the so called talk with their fists but fists and kicks only was never going to change Choji. That's why I said that some fights have to be verbal, because Choji had to be hit where it truly hurt, and that wasn't his body. ~ Vero ~

I don't want to know if there's going to be a fight or if it will be wholesome. Another thing is the signature color of bofurin is green as you have seen in the background title which also represents plants. Opposite from shishitoren which represents an animal.

I think that's how things ended up. Choji seemed highly liked at the beginning and he even went to beat up the Zinc group for hurting his friends. However, then he got bored and obsessed with power. That would be the moment people would start to fear him, hate him, and yet at the same time admire and want to be like him and on his side. People still enjoy being around him though because Togame does the dirty work needed to keep him happy. It's a very unhealthy and toxic dynamic. Togame was strong from the beginning but he was clearly not a bad guy who would beat others and kick them out of the group when they failed to be stronger than an enemy, no, this was a rule he enforced to keep Choji happy. But for how long does one keep inside the pain of doing all this BS for one person that would leave you behind if you just so happened to fail too? ~ Vero ~

I admit I was entranced and silently hopeful for what happened. I did say that I loved the ending of the episode. Lady Tamayo being invited to the Demon Corps is truly exciting.
